There has been continuing interest in the development of synthetic and natural compounds that modify the immune response particularly for the treatment of AIDS and cancer. During the past fifty years, numerous scientific studies have been published on ginseng. Modem human studies have investigated preventive effect of ginseng on several kinds of cancer, its long term immunological effect on HIV patients, its effect on cell mediated immune functions in healthy volunteers. Similarly non clinical studies on animal model system have studied the chemopreventive action of ginseng on cancer and immunological properties of ginseng. The precise mechanism of action of ginseng, however, not clearly understood. Considering its wide-ranging therapeutic effects, this study is being undertaken to elucidate the general mode of action of ginseng, especially to test our hypothesis that its biological action may be mediated by the immune system.

The modem society has been talked as the age of uncertainty, the age discontinuity and the information society. The future society is forcasted the creativity society. Both the achievement motive and the creativity be suggested as an important factors to accomplish the individual goals and organizational performance. The achievement motive has the major implications in increasing the level of achievement motive between high and low creative group. The employee creativity is the emergence in action of a novel relational product, growing out of the uniqueness of the individual on the hand, and materals, events people or cirumstances of his life on the other. It has been treated as an impotant factor to solve the complex management ploblems for the management. The major purpose of this study are (1) to review the theory of an achievement motivation and the creativity, (2) to provide both management and scholars with the practical and useful implications on the development of the employee cretivity in improving the management performance.

This paper presents a preliminary study of the influence of roughness due to marine propeller blades machining on their performance. A blade surface finish that has been roughened by corrosion, cavitation and other phenomena, leads to a power penalty. Thus propellers manufacturers tend to propose blades of great surface finish, even mirror-polished. However achieving such surface finish increases manufacturing costs. With modem manufacturing means, propellers can now be machined while preserving a good surface finish. We have studied the influence of manufacturing strategy on an aspect of hydrodynamic performance, cavitation.

The modem industrial society is developing while growing more diverse and gigantic. Accordingly, occupational injuries or accidents can be caused in various situations, not just in the limited range of workplaces but also in the surroundings, and interest has increased in the prevention of occupational accidents with respect to occupational health and safety, and environment. Thus, this thesis will consider 4MlE (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Environment) as the fundamental causes of accidents and introduce a model of system in which the output of the process control system is replaced by accidents with its input by 4M1E. Furthermore, it will demonstrate how occupational hazardousness can be measured, whereby it can also be rated, by examining the relationship between 4M1E and types of accident in terms of the categories of severity, frequency, and detectability, based on the application of the model to the framework of FMEA.

The purpose of this study was to analysis of pelvis and lower extremity using orientation angles during a developpe a la seconde. Data were collected by Kwon3D program. Two females professional modem dancer were participated in this experiment. Subjects performed a developpe a la seconde in meddle heights(about 90 dog.) The results were as follows. The orientation angles of pelvis were, in most cases, caused by the movement of trunk and thigh. It was restricted the movement of pelvis within narrow limits because the movement of pelvis was very important to lower extremity alignment. The orientation angle of shank against thigh showed a change of angle about $3-6^{\circ}$ in internal external rotation. The orientation angle of foot against shank showed a change of angle about $6-7^{\circ}$ in internal external rotation.

The purpose of this study is to compare the similarity of clothing between Modern and Gothic, and between Post-Modern and Renaissance Period. The results are as followes: The beauty of ideal body was changed from unemphasis of body line to emphasis of the erotic espects of body. The style of clothing was changed from simple and functional in order to give freedom in action, to various and complicated in from, and even uncomfortable in order to emphasize individuality. Decoration on clothing like details, trimmings, and various accessories were not prefered in Gothic and Modem Period, but very popular in Post-Modern and Renaissance Period.

The use of the epoxy pressure injection technique to rehabilitate reinforced concrete beam-column joints damaged by strong earthquakes is investigated experimentally and analytically. Two one-half-scale exterior beam-column joint specimens were exposed to reverse cyclic loading similar to that generated from strong earthquake ground motion, resulting in damage. Both specimens were typical of new structures and incorporated full seismic details in current building codes. Thus the first specimen was designed according to Eurocode 2 and Eurocode 8 and the second specimen was designed according to ACI-318 (1995) and ACI-ASCE Committee 352 (1985). The specimens were then repaired with an epoxy pressure injection technique. The repaired specimens were subjected to the same displacement history as that imposed on the original specimens. The results indicate that the epoxy pressure injection technique was effective in restoring the strength, stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of specimens representing a modem design.

Due to a development of a modem technology as Power Line Communication(PLC) over 200 Mbps, the high-speed multi-media data trasmission could be currently possible. In This paper we develop a high quality media transmitter-receiver based on merging the HomePlug AV, which is 200 Mbps class PLC technology and HDMI Interface technology. Smart Live 6 software were used for the assessment of audio property. As the result of measurement of the HD class images by capturing from the receiver of the PLC, the quality of images couldn't be confirm any deterioration, which has compared with original reflections. In case of audio part as the result of confirmation of the Phase, Magnitude, it has been confirmed that over 90% of nomal transmition and receiving of acoustic signal.

There are many reasons why foreigners have difficulties learning English. In addition to the difference between English and the learner's grammar, the large number of irregularities found in English become another obstacle to learning English. Understanding the difference and the irregularities will help us not only have a good command of English but also teach English more effectively. Many irregular or alternating patterns, or even anomalies in Modern English are the results of historical changes. In this paper, I would like to focus on some of the irregular or alternating patterns found in different components of the grammar of English and to show how they can be accounted for historically. Through this study, I would like to show that the irregular patterns and anomalies in English were once regular and systematic, they have deviated from the regular patterns of the grammar as time has gone by, and they have survived in Modern English as irregular and alternating patterns. Many of the irregular or alternating patterns can be traced back by phonological, morphological and/or semantic changes in the history of English. Finally, by looking at language history, we can hold a more tolerant view on many anomalies present in English.
