This Study is a research on symbolic meaning and artist's will of Vivienne Westwood's works which provide a new vision on woman's body and clothes. For the literary research, this study investigates theories of human's body which are phenomenal body of Merleau-Ponty's, the relations between power and body of M. Foucault's, cultural and social body of E. Goffman's and habitus of p, Bourdieu's. For the case research, Vivienne Westwood's collections are classified into each item which exaggerating and distorting woman's body such as Mini-Crini, corset, bustle cushion, bum-pad, farthingale and tailoring suits. Also she puts man's clothes item such as codpiece into woman's body. Through all of these design, she wants to reinterpret the woman's body and self-identity. Vivienne Westwood dose not leave the past just as a historic trace but recreates with her way of creation. Westwood has presented the satire which leads the parody of past in her unique ways of thinking and interpretation which mix the ideology of the past and the presents. Those make her look back the history and culture and express her esteem for self-identity of woman. Vivienne Westwood's works express woman's power and freedom in modem society.

The purpose of this study was to examine the sewing construction of a double robe, the difference between the single and double robe, and the size and construction method of the double robe through a close analysis of a replica to facilitate a better understanding of the robe making in late Chosun dynasty. The results were as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in the design and sewing method between the girl's robe and an adult's even though the girl's robe was much smaller. 2. The girl's robe differed from its modern counterparts in some respects: unlike modem robes, Chungyun's robe consisted of two-layers in which the four layers were sewn together and it could be seen most clearly in the way the collar was stitched only onto the outer layer. The two layers seemed to be put on successively since they were not sewn together. The inner collars of the two robes were sewn together when the maker put on a coat string to the outer robe, and the two robes were put together with hemming and blind stitch at the top of the outer collars to make the robe formally stable, which clearly distinguished the princess' robe from a single, for example, four-layered robe. The robe was constructed using traditional sewing methods including broad stitch, back stitch, hemming, and blind stitch, and each stitch was only about 1 mm wide. 3. The maker of the robe managed to construct a formally stable and aesthetically satisfactory robe with the least amount of fabric and proper sewing methods.

광대역 통신 모뎀이나 초고해상도 비디오 코덱 등과 같이 높은 데이터율을 갖는 시스템을 하드웨어로 구현할 때에는 디지털 필터의 고속 구현이 필수적이다. 디지털 필터의 임계경로는 대부분 MAC (multiplication and accumulation) 연산 회로이므로 필터 계수의 0이 아닌 비트의 갯수가 희소하다면 하드웨어 비용이 적은 덧셈기로도 디지털 필터를 고속으로 구현할 수 있다. 압축센싱은 신호의 희소 표현이나 희소 신호의 복원에 우수한 성능을 보임이 최근 연구에서 보고되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 압축센싱에 기반한 디지털 FIR 필터의 CSD (canonic signed digit) 계수를 찾는 방법을 제안한다. 주어진 주파수 응답과의 오차를 최소하면서 탐욕적 방법으로 희소한 0이 아닌 부호자리수를 찾고 잘못 선택되었던 부호자리수는 제거하는 과정을 반복한다. 설계 예를 통해 제안된 방법으로 희소한 0이 아닌 CSD 계수의 FIR 필터를 설계할 수 있음을 보인다.

예술을 논함에 있어 '과학의 진보'와 '인간의 정서'라는 두 가지 문제의 상충은 끊임없이 대두되었다. 과학의 편리성, 그 이면에 존재하는 인간본연의 감성인 '자연'은 점차 크게 자리잡아갔다. 20세기말부터 성행하던 다소 삭막하게 느껴지는 미니멀리즘을 벗어나 점점 인간과 자연이 하나가 될 수 있는 자연주의가 강조되었고, '자연'은 21세기를 살아가는 우리에게 주어진 가장 중요한 화두로 떠올랐다. 기계와 과학에 의해 삶이 양적으로 향상되어질수록, 삶의 질을 향상시키고자 하는 '자연'에 대한 향수가 인간에게 더욱 절실하게 되었다. 이에 '자연'을 좀 더 효과적으로 나타내고자 아르누보양식의 표현요소를 도입하여, '자연'을 현대적으로 표현한 조형적 특성을 연구하였다. 아르누보는 자연물의 유기적인 형태로부터 모티브를 찾아 이것을 양식화하여 장식미술로 적용하였다. 이는 과거의 양식에서 인용과 절충을 반복하는, 역사주의적 전통을 과감히 개혁함으로써 현대디자인의 문을 열었고, 더불어 미술을 모든 생활에 실용화하려는 점에서 커다란 역사적 의미를 갖는 양식이다. 신예술을 의미하는, 19세기말부터 20세기 초에 걸쳐 번성했던 아르누보는 한 세기가 지난 현재에 와서 재평가되고 수용되어 다양하고 새롭게 나타나고 있다. '자연주의'를 근본으로 하는 아르누보 양식은 현대에 오면서 내추럴리즘이 주류를 이루고, 여성스런 로맨티시즘이 유행하면서 패션, 가구, 유리 공예, 보석 공예 등의 다양한 장르의 예술에서 모티브로 부활하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 아르누보에서 나타난 식물모티브를 적용한 다양한 분야의 아르누보작가들의 작품을 중심으로 형태적 요소와 표현요소의 특성을 다양하게 해석하고, 이를 바탕으로 나타난 공통된 조형미를 분석하고자하였다. 아르누보양식에서 나타나는 섬세하고 화려한 곡선의 장식미와 형태의 부드럽고 유려한 곡선표현의 효과적인 디자인적용가능성을 살펴보고, 이를 통해 창의적으로 분석된 조형이미지로의 아르누보 식물모티브를 디자인에 새롭게 시도하는 계기가 되고자 한다.

동대문운동장은 1926년 일제에 의해 건축된 우리나라의 대표적인 근대 공설운동장으로, 수많은 스포츠와 문화행사가 개최되어 한국의 스포츠 산실로서의 상징성과 문화역사성이 담겨진 공간이었다. 그러나 1990년대 들어와 시설의 노후로 기능이 축소됐고, 2005년 청계천이 복원되면서 주변 노점상들을 위한 풍물시장과 주차장이 설치돼 운동장으로서의 기능을 상실하였다. 서울시는 동대문시장과 그 일대를 디자인 패션 중심 관광 클라스터로 개발한다는 계획 하에 2008년 운동장을 철거하였다. 본 연구에서는 동대문운동장을 사례로 서울시의 근대문화유적의 철거와 지역개발을 포함하는 자본주의 경관 재구조화의 이면에 담겨져 있는 의미를 살펴보고 이를 통해 현재 남아있는 근대문화유적에 대한 보존 또는 철거 정책, 그리고 경관 관리와 관련하여 시사점을 찾아보고자 하였다.

The 21st century are seeing a large number of performing arts, and one of them, opera is evolving, transforming itself as one of total arts. Besides, the costume in performing art which play a major role in opera's visual impact, characterize figures, set the tone for performance and greatly contribute to the perfection of the stage. Under these circumstances, the study developed designs of stage costumes and built a full-scale production of the Magic Flute, one of three greatest Mozart operas. The opera based on a fiction, is still popular today since it is a fantastic fairy tale introducing moral and ethical lessons. The play's background itself is Egypt. But due to its fairy-take-like storyline, it has been performed focusing on various concepts rather than on costumes prepared through background research. As such, this study conducted research on designs of stage costumes that contains the element of Egypt and also take athleticism and comfort into consideration. The results derived from the study were as follows. First, traditional dresses of ancient Egypt were used as a basis while adding some modem touch in terms of forms or colors, which resulted in a new design. Second, a variety of images were captured using textures and colors that fit the characteristics of attributes of the figures. Third painting techniques were used to help highlight the symbolic image of Egypt-simple, not heavy and extravagant-with fairy-tale-like fantasy.

본 연구는 먼저 자연주의와 자연주의 복식이 무엇인가에 대하여 고찰하고 그 개념을 바탕으로 자연의 요소 중 그 화려함과 다양함을 보여 주는 나비를 선택하여 자연 소재인 데님과 접목시킴으로써 인간 체형에 자연의 형태를 입혀 자연과 친화될 수 있는 고부가가치의 현대 복식 디자인을 창출하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 그리고 디자인 도출방법으로는 요즘 디자인 작업에서 많이 활용피고 있는 CAD 시스템 중 가장 대중화되어 있는 Adove illustrator 10, Photoshop 7.0, Prima Vision Textile Design System을 이용하여 디자인을 하였다. 본 논문의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 자연주의의 개념은 인간의 본질에 관심을 가지고 과학에 근거를 둔 사실적인 묘사로 객관성을 가지며 이로 인해 자연 속에서 삶의 본질을 찾고자 하는 것이다. 자연주의 복식의 개념은 천연의 가공하지 않은 소재와 자연의 색이나 천연염료의 색을 사용하고 자연의 모티브인 식물$\cdot$동물 등 자연 형상을 모티브로 하며 편안하고 자연스러운 실루엣을 의미하는 복식인 것을 알 수 있었다 그리고 나비의 뚜렷한 시각적 강조를 드러내는 구조는 어느 곤충들보다 화려하여 우리의 관심을 끌어들이는 데에 사용될 수 있고 작가가 의도하는 방향으로 발전시킬 수 있는 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 캐드를 이용한 프린팅 디자인은 수작업으로 이루어지는 일반 프린팅 기법에 비해 더욱 풍부한 색의 프린트 디자인과 다양한 시도를 할 수 있어 프린트 디자인에 더욱 많은 기회와 경제성을 제공하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

상업공간에 있어서 디스플레이는 현대의 고도 산업사회에서는 대량생산, 대량유통체계의 판매촉진수단으로서 극히 중요한 분야로 대두되고 있다. 뿐만아니라 생활의 질적 향상으로 인해 다양화, 개성 화되고 있는 고객들의 요구를 만족시켜주기 위한 중요한 요소로서 그 역학이 한층 중요시되고 있다. 더욱이 상업건축물의 입면은 비주얼 머천다이징에 있어서 매장의 레이아웃을 비롯한 전시공간 설정 및 표현에 커다란 영향을 미치고 있다. 매장의 입면 유형은 정보를 제공하는 선전 소구 기능을 가짐과 동시에 외부공간구성의 중요한 요소로서의 역할을 하고 있다. 이와 같이 건축물의 입면을 이루고 있는 도입부공간은 매장의 일부이며 가로(街路)공간과도 관련되어 있어 그 기능적인 문제와 표현상의 문제를 다루는데 있어 매장과 가로의 양측 면의 관계를 고려하지 않을 수 없다. 본 연구는 내부와 외부의 절충공간으로서의 도입공간을 중심으로 매장에 있어 서 입면이 갖는 제반 특성을 파악하고 각 특성간의 상호관계를 규명하였으며, 매장의 입면유형이 매장환경에 미치는 제반요소인 구획, 유도계획, 배치계획 등과의 관계를 제 조명하려 하였다. 따라서 서울 명동소재의 패션전문매장이 현황조사를 통해 입면 유형과 비주얼 프리젠테이션과의 관계를 분석하고, 비주얼 머천다이징의 개념에 입각한 공간구성의 방향을 제시하였다.
