The algorithm and program which implement the bond-slip behavior of pre-tensioned concrete beams to the nonlinear strut-tie model approach, are developed in this study. The validity of the algorithm and program is verified through the strut-tie model evaluation of the strength and behavior of two pre-tensioned concrete deep beams which were failed by bond-slip.

In this paper, separated and optimized pattern database model is proposed. In order to improve efficiency of Network-based IDS, pattern database is classified by proper basis. Classification basis is decided by the specific Intrusions validity on specific target. Using this model, IDS searches only valid patterns in pattern database on each captured packets. In result, IDS can reduce system resources for searching pattern database. So, IDS can analyze more packets on the network. In this paper, proper classification basis is proposed and pattern database classified by that basis is formed. And its performance is verified by experimental results.

Behavioral models are used very widely to investigate or illuminate aspects of human psychopathology. However, the extent to which it is possible to extrapolate from animals to people, and, therefore, the value of information derived from a behavioral model, will depend to a large extent on the validity of the models. This article outlines some behavioral models of depression and anxiety.

In this paper, a characteristics analysis and calculation of the suspending force of a novel bearingless switched reluctance motor (BLSRM) with hybrid stator poles is proposed. The operating principle and permeance are calculated to find an appropriate control scheme for a proposed motor. Furthermore, a mathematical model for suspending force is derived. Finite element analysis is also employed to compare with the expressions for suspending force. Finally, the validity of the structure and the mathematical model is verified by simulation results.

A new estimationn mothod of single-EP(evoked potential) using adaptive algorithm and paralnetrlc model is proposed. Since the EEG(eletroencephalogram) signal is stationary in short time interval the AR(autoregressive) parameters of the EEG are estimated by the Burg algorithm using the EEG of prestimulus interval. After stimulus, the single-EP is estimated by adaptive algorithm. The validity of this method is verified by the simulation for generated auditory single-EP based on parametric model.

Although dapped-end beams are widely used in bridge and building structures, there are not any specific and reasonable design regulations on dapped-end beams. In this study, the validity of the suggested experimental and empirical design methods, conventional strut-tie model approach, and nonlinear strut-tie model approach is evaluated through the analysis of dapped-end beams tested to failure. The nonlinear strut-tie model approach proved to be the most suitable method for dapper-end beam design.

In this paper, the linear and nonlinear strut-tie model approaches for the analysis and design of concrete structures are suggested. The validity of the approaches are examined through the strength analysis of four dapped-end beams tested to failure. According to the analysis results, the nonlinear strut-tie model approach which takes the various characteristics of nonlinear behaviors into account in the analysis and design of structural concrete and predicts the strength of structural concrete proven to be an effective method for structural analysis and design.

Second language learners' variable degree of production difficulty according to the cluster type has previously been accounted for in terms of sonority distance between adjacent segments. As an alternative to this previous model, I propose a Phonetically Based Consonant Cluster Acquisition Model (PCCAM) in which consonant cluster markedness is defined based on the articulatory and perceptual factors associated with each consonant sequence. The validity of PCCAM has been tested through Korean speakers' production of English consonant clusters.

A new method is proposed to obtain bond-slip model for an adhesive joint between FRP and concrete. Interface element, which can describe the bond behavior, is developed in order to overcome the restriction that complex constitutive relations cannot be modeled in analytic solution. Calibrating numerical bond-slip model to experimental results, multi-objective optimization problem is constructed by physical programming method, and is solved using genetic algorithm. The validity of proposed method is demonstrated by comparing known analytic solution and numerically optimized solution.

A simple and useful model of light distribution for the biologhical tissue to the Gaussian beam is proposed. This model assumes that the incident Gaussian beam broadens into two Gaussian beams, travelling in the opposite directions as the result of both isotropic scattering and absorption in the tissue. With this assumption, two-dimensional light intensity of each flux as well as the equations of both absorption and scattering have been derived, and the validity of modeling has been confirmed experimentally. Consequently, the results paved a way for easy evaluation of the light distribution in the biological tissue.
