Price discounts presupposing churn-in are important tools of competition in many industries such as mobile telecommunication services and newspaper. In this case, consumers can get discount only through changing the provider. For analyzing this kind of competitions, we should consider the incentive of utilizing iterative switching. Hence, in this paper, we consider multi-stage equilibrium and can find that equilibria are different from one stage discount. In particular, when consumers' decisions are for maximizing multi-stage utility, discounts can bring about churn-out as well as churn-in and firms lose the incentive of discounts.

Multiple Antenna Technologies such as Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) and Beamforming provide the increase of channel capacity and the reliability of wireless link. To obtain these advantages, WiBro, Mobile WiMAX and $4^{th}$ Generation System are employing multiple antenna technologies. There exist, however, many technical issues in considering the application of the technologies or the providing of services using them. In this paper, various technical topics are discussed and simple solutions are proposed. Beamforming has several technical issues which include coverage imbalance, difficulties in providing Multicast-Broadcast Service (MBS). In Addition, network planning is a critical point from a cell extension and initial network entry point of view. In case of MIMO, network deployment is discussed in that cellular data network such as WiBro has many repeaters. MIMO mode selection for maximizing the cell capacity is also covered.

유무선 대체 및 경쟁관계는 통신시장 규제정책의 관점에서 매우 중요한 시사점을 가진다. 이제까지 유선전화시장에서는 기존 지배적 유선전화 사업자의 각종 활동을 규제해 기존사업자와 신규사업자간의 공정경쟁을 확보해 왔으나, 유무선 통신시장의 역전현상과 함께 유무선 대체 및 경쟁관계가 진행되면서, 유무선간 비대칭규제는 그 유용성을 점차 상실하고 있다. 그에 따라 음성전화 부문의 새로운 시장획정 및 지배력 평가와 규제접근법의 정립이 필요하게 되었다. 이에 본 연구에서는 유무선 대체 현황 분석 및 전망, 우리나라의 불균형한 유무선 규제제도에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

In this paper, we proposed the IEEE 802.11 CSMA/CA protocol with the priority scheme. The IEEE 802.11 CSMA/CA protocol is the standard in wireless LAN We applied the proposed method to the aeronautical mobile telecommunication environment. The CSMA/CA protocol has two frames : one is PCF frame for real time service like voice and image and the other DCF frame for contention services like data transmission. Now we proposed the priority scheme that has the different CW region according to the transmitted data. The simmulation results shows the proposed method's performance is improved, Because the collision probability is reduced by allowing the different CW between stations. And the time dalay results show the priority scheme is very appropriated.

신상품이나 신규 통신서비스의 수요 예측은 사업의 경제성 분석과 초기 시설투자 계획을 수립함에 있어 필수적이다. 그러나, 과거 자료가 없는 경우에 적용할 수 있는 기존의 수요예측방법은 비계량적인 방법들로서 객관성이 떨어지므로 가능한 한 주관적인 요소나 임의성을 배제할 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 저궤도 이동위성통신 서비스의 수요예측 사례를 중심으로 계량적인 모형에서 추정이 불가능한 모수들을 비계량적인 방법을 통해 추정함으로써 계량적인 방법과 비계량적인 방법을 결합한 수요예측방법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 통신서비스와의 비교유추를 통하여 확산계수를 도출하고 설문자료로부터 잠재시장규모를 추정함으로써 신규 통신서비스의 확산과정을 예측하고 가격에 대한 수요의 탄력도를 도출한다.

In this paper, we propose ATM switch structure including AAL type 2 switch which can efficiently transmit low-bit rate data, even if the network has many endpoints. We simulate the architecture of ATM switch fabric that is modeled in computer program and analyze the performance according to offered loads. ATM switch proposed in this paper can support cell switching for all types of AAL cells which consist of AAL type 1, AAL type 2, AAL type 3/4, and AAL type 5 cells. We propose two switch fabric methods; One supports the AAL type 2 cell processing per input port, the other global AAL type 2 cell processing for every input port. The simulation results show that the latter is superior to the former. But the former has a strong point for easy implementation and extensibility. The proposed ATM switch fabric architecture is applicable to mobile communication, narrow band services over ATM network.

As the gaps become narrower in interconnection fee and volume rate, the MNOs began to introduce flat pricing for unlimited voice traffic competitively in Korea wireless telecommunication market : 'unlimited talks within intra-network' by the 1st operator, followed by the 3rd operator's 'unlimited talks over all networks'. As a result, subscribers tip in toward the third ranked operator and could bring a substantial change to steadfast market structure over the last decade in Korea. This paper aims to develop a simple economic model to analyze competition with flat pricing for unlimited voice traffic, and to check whether the pricing can be appropriate for the MNOs. The results show that MNOs already step in the necessary conditions to launch flat pricing for voice traffic. It also predicts that the MNOs compete with unlimited talk over all networks and set a single fee in an equilibrium. At present, the MNOs run virtually identical pricing for unlimited talk over all networks, considering their differentiation with respect to service quality, coverage and brand preference.

3G 이동통신, 무선랜은 각기 다른 장단점을 가지고 무선 통신 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 현재 이들 서비스의 단점들을 보완하도록 설계한 WiBro 서비스가 개발되었으며. 3중-모드로 작동하는 단말기를 이용하는 사용자가 세 개 망을 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 하기 위한 3G-WLAN-WiBro 연동 시스템이 제안되었다. 각 망은 보안과 과금을 위하여 사용자와 네트워크간의 상호 인증 절차를 도입하고 있으나, 서로 다른 인증 프로토콜을 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 3G-WLAN-WiBro 연동 네트워크상에서, 사용자가 동일 사업자의 이종 망으로 이동할 때 이전망에서 사용하던 인증 정보를 활용하면서 새로운 망으로 안전하게 로밍할 수 있도록 지원하기 위한 통합된 인증 및 키 관리 프로토콜을 제안하였다.

본 논문에서는 국내 방송환경에 적합한 차세대 방송기술 및 서비스의 기술적 검증을 통해 지상파 UHD 방송의 정착 및 활성화 등을 추진하고자 ATSC 3.0 기반 서비스에 대한 기술적 검증을 실시하였다. ATSC 3.0 기반 이동HD 방송은 방송사, 연구기관 등에서 다양한 파라미터로 실험을 추진 중에 있으나, 오디오 서비스에 대한 실험은 추진되지 않았다. 본 실험을 통해 한 채널(6MHz) 내에서 ATSC 3.0 기반 UHD 방송의 최대 서비스 개수, 이동성을 고려한 HD 방송의 최대 서비스 개수, 오디오 방송의 최대 서비스 개수 등에 대한 이론 및 실험을 진행하였고, 각 서비스(UHD방송, HD방송, 오디오방송)를 한 채널 내에서 통합으로 전송하기 위한 파라미터를 도출하고, 이를 직접 필드에서 이동하면서 수신해보는 필드테스트를 통해 기술적 가능성을 수행하였다.

DMB 2.0, Mobile IPTV 등 방송과 통신을 융합하는 서비스에 대한 관심이 최근 급증하고 있다. 유니캐스트는 수용량 제한 및 열악한 수신환경으로 인해 방송서비스를 하기 힘들기 때문에 WiBro는 MBS(Multicast Broadcast Service)를 제공하여 방송서비스를 지원한다. MBS는 MBS 존에 속한 모든 기지국이 방송서비스를 요구하는 모든 사용자에게 동일한 콘텐츠를 동시에 전송하는 방식이다. 단말은 다수의 기지국으로부터 자원을 받기 때문에 Macro diversity로 인해 SINR을 높일 수 있지만 존 외곽 셀의 경우 간섭으로 인해 여전히 SINR이 매우 낮으므로 보완책이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 MBS 존의 내부와 외부의 성능차이를 줄이면서 전체적으로는 높은 MCS를 사용하여 전송률을 높이는 방안으로 MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) STBC(Space Time Block Coding), Relay, FFR(Fractional Frequency Reuse)을 도입한다. 기본적인 시뮬레이션 환경은 SISO(Single Input Single Output)로 가정하고 transparent 중계기, MBS에서 적용가능한 FFR로 시나리오를 나누어 SISO와 MIMO STBC 환경에서 각각 성능을 평가하고 비교 분석한다.
