  • Many people are now enjoying mobile games using various smartphone platforms. However, we have to develop games separately for each smart device platforms so far. Cocos2d-x, a game development framework is released to solve this problem. As a multiplatform version of the existing Cocos2d, Cocos2d-x can make one source code run on various platforms. It is an open software that is able to be used by everyone, and when using it, mobile games can be developed easily based on C++ and OpenGL. In this paper, we implemented a PC laboratory decorating game application, named ILove501, using Cocos2d-x. The 501 is a room number of our PC lab. ILove501 includes an educational feature of solving quizzes in order to highlight positive effects of game. For implementation of a multiplatform game, ILove501 was developed in Windows and iOS environment at the same time, and we verified the results of the execution by porting on a variety of devices such as Android, iPhone, iPad and Galaxy Tab.

  • In Korea, fire is the second frequent disaster. A total of 32,966 fires were happened in 2002, and injured 2,235 people and damaged 12 million dollars. So, we developed several components related to fire in order to decrease these victims and the amount of damage and have applied those components to Daegu Fire Agency. In this paper, we describe the developing system. It consists of 5 major components: mobile fire facility management component, web service component, fire management component, fire server, and fire application. They were developed in object-oriented computing environment, ATL/COM and Visual C++. So, they have some advantages such as high reusability, full interoperability, and easy understanding.

  • UP Link is One of the commercial product which converts HTML to HDML convertor in order to show the internet www contents in the mobile environments. When UP browser accesses HTML pages, the agent in the UP Link controls the converter to change the HTML to the HDML, I-Mode, which is developed by NTT-Docomo of Japan, has many contents through the long and stable commercial service. Micro Explorer, which is developed by Stinger project, also has many additional function. In this paper, we designed and implemented WAP convertor which can accept C-HTML contents and mHTML contents. C-HTML format by I-Mode is a subset of HTML format, mHTML format by ME is similar to C-HTML, So the content provides can easily develop C-HTML contents compared with WAP and the other case. Since C-HTML, mHTML and WML are used under the mobile environment, the limited transmission capacity of one page is also similar. In order to make a match table. After that, we apply conversion algorithm on it. If we can not find matched element, we arrange some tags which only can be supported by WML to display in the best shape. By the result, we can convert over 90% contents.

  • Previous study about Mobile Music Contents was mainly focused on Industry factors & enterprise factors like Technology. This study is not only focused on Technology factors, but also Customer & System factors like TAM of original, and also, this study first tried to find the Mobile Internet medium's customer purchase by each property's Mobile Music Contents from assorting the Mobile music Contents property and defining them. So to speak of this study have tried to concretely verify the factors of purchase. And also, I proposed an transformated model, and added independent variable factors, 'distinction', 'speed of system', 'speed of network', 'a career of use', 'amount of use', 'preservation', 'customization', 'information', 'confidence', 'omni presentation', 'potential possibility of reproduce'. By applying TAM this study has measured how the product property. user property, and system property causes effect to customer purchase of Mobile Music Contents. In results, First, success 8 factors were determined to be the purchase of 'Ringtone'. Second, 8 factors were determined to be the purchase of 'Ring-Back tone', but, 'The use of convenience' was not influenced 'Intention of Purchase'. Third, 6 factors were determined to be the purchase of 'Full Track Download of Music'. At the Conclusion this study presented a scheme that these study results could be applied in actual company and academic world.

  • This paper proposes a new automatic compensation network (ACN) for a system-on-chip (SoC) transceiver. We built a 5 GHz low noise amplifier (LNA) with an on-chip ACN using 0.18 ${\mu}m$ SiGe technology. This network is extremely useful for today's radio frequency (RF) integrated circuit devices in a complete RF transceiver environment. The network comprises an RF design-for-testability (DFT) circuit, capacitor mirror banks, and a digital signal processor. The RF DFT circuit consists of a test amplifier and RF peak detectors. The RF DFT circuit helps the network to provide DC output voltages, which makes the compensation network automatic. The proposed technique utilizes output DC voltage measurements and these measured values are translated into the LNA specifications such as input impedance, gain, and noise figure using the developed mathematical equations. The ACN automatically adjusts the performance of the 5 GHz LNA with the processor in the SoC transceiver when the LNA goes out of the normal range of operation. The ACN compensates abnormal operation due to unusual thermal variation or unusual process variation. The ACN is simple, inexpensive and suitable for a complete RF transceiver environment.

  • In most resource reservation strategies, which give higher priorities to handoff calls over new calls, new calls are often blocked even though there is plenty of available reserved resource. This causes inefficient resource utilization, especially when there are not so many handoff attempts. In this paper, we propose a new reservationstrategy called soft reservation in which new calls can be allocated to the reserved resource while maintaining the QoS of handoff acceptable. Using an M/M/c/c queuing model, we can see that the proposed strategy provides better performance than the conventional reservation strategy in terms of blocking probability of new call and dropping probability of handoff calls.

  • In this paper, the $arccos(cos^{-1})$ arithmetic unit for mobile graphics accelerator is designed. The mobile vector graphics applications need tight area, execution time, power dissipation, and accuracy constraints compared to desktop PC applications. The designed processor adopts 2nd-order polynomial approximation scheme based on IEEE floating point data format to satisfy speed and accuracy conditions and reduces area via hardware sharing structure. The arccosine processor consists of 15,280 gates and its estimated operating frequency is about 125Mhz at operating condition of $0.35{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. Because the processor can execute arccosine function within 7 clock cycles, it has about 17 MOPS(million arccos operations per second) execution rate and can be applicable to mobile OpenVG processor. And because of its flexible architecture, it can be applicable to the various transcendental functions such as exponential, trigonometric and logarithmic functions via replacement of ROM and minor hardware modification.

  • In this paper, a performance evaluation method for the Trunked Land Mobile Radio System, so called TRS(Trunked Radio System), is presented. The proposed evaluation method employs LCD(Lost Call Delayed) system model and Erlang-C distribution. In this system, queues are used to hold call requests that are initally blocked. When a user attempts a call and a channel is not immediately available, the call request may be delayed until a channel becomes available. For evaluating system performance, therefore, the probability that any caller is delayed in the queue for a waiting time greater than t seconds is derived and simulated by using such parameters as total number of available channels, traffic load and average duration of a call. Furthermore, the performance of the message and the transmission trunked channel assignment strategies is compared. The performance simulation results show that transmission trunking is shown to be more efficient than message trunking.

  • This paper provides a method for compression and transmission of on-chip bus data. As the data traffic on on-chip buses is rapidly increasing with enlarged video resolutions, many video processor chips suffer from a lack of bus bandwidth and their IP cores have to wait for a longer time to get a bus grant. In multimedia data such as images and video, the adjacent data signals very often have little or no difference between them. Taking advantage of this point, this paper develops a simple bus data compression method to improve the chip performance and presents its hardware implementation. The method is applied to a Video Codec - 1 (VC-1) decoder chip and reduces the processing time of one macro-block by 13.6% and 10.3% for SD and HD videos, respectively.
