  • Rapidly developing mobile internet technology and extensive service of smart phones have led to growing use of mobile applications. It is natural that software developers and IT-related students develop a variety of applications that can be used for everyday life. The present paper reports a case of developing such an application that was developed in a capstone design course of Department of Computer Science at Namseoul University. This so-called 'Application for Prevention of Loss of One's Belongings' was designed to let students learn a set of tools based on Android operation system. This app can prevent smart phone users from losing their belongings using an alarm. The educational effect from the process of developing this application is also discussed.

  • VoIP is a technology of voice communication, using the existing internet network which sends and receives voice packets. VoIP has an advantage that VoIP is cheaper than an existing telephony, and the tech is vitalized lately. But recently you can download Volp Application in the Market that have a vulnerability(Anyone Can Upload). This weakness is wrongfully used that People are downloaded by encouraging about malignant code is planted. Signal intercepts indicates from this case. and paralysis by DDoS Attack, bypass are charged for hacking. Judging from, security threat of VolP analysis and take countermeasures. In the thesis we analyze the VoIP security caused on 'Soft Phone' and 'Smart Phone', and figure out security policies and delineate those policies on the paper.

  • In this paper, The infrastructure case for reproduction or analysis of the mechanism on the fire or the electrics shock of the electrical appliances is proposed. The various electrical appliances(Washing machine, Ballast, Electric heaters, Electronic switches, Mobile phone chargers) used in the home can be tested on the high voltage and over current test through the implementation of the infrastructure. The electrical tests of fire and electric shock consists of the high voltage of maximum 5000 V and over current test of 3 steps(90 A, 60 A, 40 A) and noise test. The mechanism of the fire and the electric shock tests reproduced are analyzed through the monitoring system and the oscilloscope. The electronics manufacturers can prevent accidents through the tests of the electronics factor reproduced and the analysis of the infrastructure designed.

  • This paper is aimed at developing an location tracking system of mobile station based on currently available mobile communication network or mobile Phone and PCS(Personal Communication System). When the location tracking of mobile stations is in services, Emergency-119, all of crime investigation, effective urban traffic management and the safety protection of Alzheimer's patients can be available. In order to track the location of the mobile and base station, assumption in this paper is to use the statistic characteristics of LOS when modeling the standard noise in case that radio path is LNOS environment. The standard variation of the standard noise is $\pm150$. First, location is estimated by the positioning algorithms of TOA and TDOA and compared each other. Second, after canceling the standard noise by Kalman filter, location is estimated by the above two positioning algorithms. Finally, the location by the Kalman filter and two positioning algorithms is estimated by smoothing method. As a result, 2 dimensional average location error is imvoved by 51.2m in TOA and 34.8m in TDOA when Kalman filer and two positioning algorithms are used, compared with the two positioning algorithm used. And there is 3 more meter improvement after smoothing than Kalman filer and two positioning algorithms used.

  • Since the advent of smart phone, a variety of text-based media are developed and used as popular communication tools even in mobile phone environment. This study explores differences in terms of users' perceived social presence level across different text-based media, specifically KakaoTalk, Facebook, SMS. A survey was conducted using items adopted from previous studies on social presence. 203 data points were collected and used for analysis. Across the whole sample, KakaoTalk is perceived as the highest in terms of perceived social presence level, followed by Facebook and SMS. Also, the users with higher level of sociality tends to reveal higher level of perceived social presence across all the media while younger and/or student users tend to maintain higher level of social presence perception across all the media. Further studies seem necessary investigating features of specific medium that may increase or decrease the perceived level of social presence.

By this technological analysis, the corresponding service applications and the strategy upon the mobile smart phone regarding the design UX/UI and several wireless rechargeable technology have been derived. The market outlook on the wireless rechargeable technology grows rapidly so that the market size is increased about six times bigger than that of the last year, and it will grow about 18 billion dollars in 2014. Because of that, as the interest on this area outfocused, many kinds of technology and new product are being exploited in this field. So the technological guidance and the patent map for the wireless rechargeable technology will highly expected. Especially due to our analysis, research and development about service application of this technology is one of the most promising areas, and several technological suggestions are represented which include the patentability and invalidation, right strategy and licensing policy, and battery sharing with extended durability, etc.

  • In this paper. we propose a novel auto white balance algorithm which is one of the representative functions on cameras. White balance is the process of removing unrealistic color casts, which will make the captured white objects appear white. For white balance, we employ $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ color space which is the most complete color model available and is conventionally used to describe all the colors visible to the human eye and estimate the color difference on white objects with distribution of the image which is called the reference white estimation. For accuracy, we form groups or sets of pixels that are altered by the light sources and other elements. Moreover, Standard group is decided by judgment of specific-case images with the information of groups. Then, the reference white estimation is performed by the color sampling which is to choose all the accumulated pixels contained within the standard group. The color gain for image compensation by considering the color saturation is also computed. the proposed algorithm provides a significant performance.

  • Purpose: Despite the existence of Snoezelen method, there is no case of researching the effects on game addiction. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the effects of Snoezelen therapy on stress, depression, anxiety and quality of life of college students who overuse computer games or mobile phone games. Methods: Eight students who responded to spend more than 30 hours of computer or mobile phone games in the selection questionnaire were recruited (The total respondents were 224 students). Students were randomly assigned to either the study group (4 students) or the control group (4 students). Stress (Korean version of Perceived Stress Scale, K-PSS), depression (Korean Screening Tool for Depression Disorders, K-DEP), Anxiety (Korean Beck Anxiety Inventory, K-BAI) and quality of life (Short Form Health Survey version 2 [SF-36]) were assessed three times (before intervention [pre], post-3 weeks [post 1], post-6 weeks [post 2]). Results: First, the study group (-4.75±3.86) and control group (1.00±2.71) showed significant difference (p<0.05) in the analysis of score changes between pre-test and test at 6 weeks (post 2) for K-DEP. Next, pre-test and test at 3 weeks of intervention (post 1) for K-BAI showed significant difference (p<0.05) in the study group (-2.50±1.91) and control group (2.25±2.99). In addition, pre-test and test at 6 weeks (post 2) showed significant difference (p<0.05) for the study group (-3.00±1.51) and control group (4.75±6.24). Conclusion: The study confirmed the possibility of Snoezelen therapy as a therapy method to induce effective responses in stress, depression, anxiety, and quality of life of college students with game addiction.
