  • In this paper, an exoskeleton-type motion capturing system is designed and implemented. The device is designed to have 12 degree-of-freedom entirely to represent human arm motions. Forward and inverse kinematics of the device are analyzed to make sure of its singular positions. With the designed model parameters, simulation studies are conducted to verify that the designed motion capturing system is effective to represent human motions within the workspace. As a counterpart of the exoskeleton system, a mobile robot is built to follow human motion restrictively. Experimental studies of teleoperation from the exoskeleton device to control the mobile robot are carried out to show feasible application of wireless man-machine interface.

Low Handover Latency for WiBro Network

  • IEEE 802.16 WirelessMAN aiming to broadband wireless access (BWA) is evolving to 4G mobile communication system through the standardization of IEEE 802.16e supporting mobility on existing fixed WirelessMAN system. It is necessary for hand-over to provide seamless data service while MS (Mobile Station) moves to another BS (Base Station). Because the performance of handover affects packet loss or delay of any communications, it must consider low latency handover mechanism in packet based network. In this paper, we describes handover scheme of IEEE 802.16e with the cell edge interference problem and shows the way to solve the problem in frequency reuse one deployment. Our scheme reduces the handover latency and packet loss probability.

An Automatic and Scalable Application Crawler for Large-Scale Mobile Internet Content Retrieval

  • The mobile internet has grown ubiquitous across the globe with the widespread use of smart devices. However, the designs of modern mobile operating systems and their applications limit content retrieval with mobile applications. The mobile internet is not as accessible as the traditional web, having more man-made restrictions and lacking a unified approach for crawling and content retrieval. In this study, we propose an automatic and scalable mobile application content crawler, which can recognize the interaction paths of mobile applications, representing them as interaction graphs and automatically collecting content according to the graphs in a parallel manner. The crawler was verified by retrieving content from 50 non-game applications from the Google Play Store using the Android platform. The experiment showed the efficiency and scalability potential of our crawler for large-scale mobile internet content retrieval.

소비자의 혁신성이 모바일 광고 수용에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the Influence of Consumer Innovativeness on the Acceptance Intention in Mobile Advertising)

  • This study is focus on consumer innovativeness. The purpose of this study is to explore variable that affect users' perceived value of mobile advertising and actual response intension to analyze relationship among variables. We built research new model based on the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM) and the Ducoffe's model(1996). The result of this study can be summarized as below. First, consumer innovativeness had a positive effect on convenience, the entertaining element and informativeness. Second, credibility and convenience had a positive effect on mobile advertising value. Third, Mobile advertising value had a positive effect on actual response intention to mobile advertising. As shown in the result of this study, the relation between perceived value of mobile advertising and actual response intention, depending on innovativeness in accordance with mobile advertising characters elements.

  • As financial transactions using mobile devices have been activated, mobile payment services have appeared and many changes have been made to the existing financial service methods. Due to the simplified payment method of mobile payment service, security threats such as personal information leakage, phishing damage, and malicious code are increasing. Research that can solve this is needed. In this paper, we discuss the features and security factors of mobile payment system. In order to improve the security of mobile payment system, we propose a fault analysis method based on frequency of occurrence using Fault Fishbone Analysis(FFA) technique.

  • According to the development of information processing technology and mobile communication technology, the utilization of mobile banking systems is drastically increasing in banking system. In the foreseeable future, it is expected to increase rapidly the demands of mobile banking in bank systems with the prevalence of smart devices and technologies. However, the keeping 'security' is very important in banking systems that handles personal information and financial assets. But it is very difficult to improve the security of banking systems only with the vulnerabilities and faults analysis methods of information security. Hence, in this paper, we accomplish the analysis of security risk factor and security vulnerability that occur in mobile banking system. With analyzed results, we propose the information security control and management processes for assessing and improving security based on the mechanisms which composes mobile banking system.

  • We first report an application of plastic LCDs to 2D-3D convertible mobile phones. Plastic LCDs are proven to be most suitable solution for filter LCDs attached on main LCDs of 3D mobile phones in terms of quality and cost wises. The design and fabrication of plastic LCD filters are discussed in this paper.

  • 최근 모바일 휴대 단말기의 성능 향상과 사용자의 멀티미디어 서비스에 대한 요구 수준이 높아짐에 따라 모바일 휴대 단말에서 다양한 멀티미디어 응용 프로그램들이 개발/서비스되고 있다. 본 논문은 현재 모바일 환경에서 대표적인 멀티미디어 서비스의 하나인 Mobile Flash를 하드웨어 리소스 제약이 많은 모바일 환경에서 설계 및 구현한 것에 관하여 기술한다. Mobile Flash는 유선 데스크탑 환경에서 이미 전세계의 95% 이상 보급/설치되어 애니메이션, 게임, 교육용 컨텐츠, 광고 등 다양한 컨텐츠를 재생을 지원하는 Flash Player를 모바일 환경에 맞도록 최적화한 것이다.
