The objective of the study to investigates the effect of self-efficacy on mobile financial information systems. In order to do that, self-efficacy, mobile financial information systems reliability, mobile financial information systems use intensity are conceptualized by survey questionnaire. Our empirical analysis based on 462 survey data shows that self-efficacy effects on mobile financial information systems quality. In addition we also found that self-efficacy effects on mobile financial systems reliability and usage intention. And we found that mobile financial information systems reliability effects on mobile financial systems use intention. And we also found that mobile financial information systems usage intention effects mobile financial systems quality.

  • Financial technology, also known as FinTech, is one of the fast growing global businesses in since its inception in 2008. Fintech is a new economic industry, comprised of companies that adopted the latest technologies to provide more efficient financial services than the traditional financial services. Fintech companies are generally small to medium sized startups trying to disintermediate existing financial systems. FinTech companies can be differentiated in several areas, based on its business solutions and target customers. In Korea, the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) lending companies are the most prominent in the FinTech sector. P2P lending is a method of borrowing or lending money to individuals through online services without the use of an official financial institution as an intermediary. The P2P lending companies operate their services entirely online or mobile environment. Consequently, mobile P2P lending application users are dramatically increasing. Thus, it is worth evaluating the acceptance of the mobile apps of the P2P lending companies from a user's perspective. This paper discusses user acceptance of the mobile P2P lending apps, guided by the Technology Acceptance Model. We conclude that the users' acceptance of mobile P2P lending apps are significantly influenced by perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and user satisfaction. These in turn influenced their attitude towards using mobile P2P lending apps and intention to use.

  • Recently, the developments in IT technology and the spread of smart phones have made Fin-Tech, which is a combination of financial services and IT technology, a big issue. In accordance with the growth trend of mobile payments in the world, all financial transactions in Korea are gradually shifting to smart phones. In fact, mobile payment system services are not widely used by users. In particular, the risk factors involved when users want to use the service are one of the factors that hinder the expansion of the usage of mobile financial payment service. The risk factors affect the trust of the mobile payment system users. Therefore, this study investigates the risk factors of the mobile payment system and the manner in which it affects a user's trust. We have also examined as how user's trust affects trust in the quality of the mobile payment system. To this end, the trust in overall quality of use was largely divided into trust in system quality, trust in information quality, and trust in service quality. Perceived finance risk, perceived performance risk, and perceived privacy risk have negative effects on cognitive trust. However, perceived time risk did not affect cognitive trust. User's cognitive trust also has an effect on trust in quality.

  • According to the development of information processing technology and mobile communication technology, the utilization of mobile banking systems is drastically increasing in banking system. In the foreseeable future, it is expected to increase rapidly the demands of mobile banking in bank systems with the prevalence of smart devices and technologies. However, the keeping 'security' is very important in banking systems that handles personal information and financial assets. But it is very difficult to improve the security of banking systems only with the vulnerabilities and faults analysis methods of information security. Hence, in this paper, we accomplish the analysis of security risk factor and security vulnerability that occur in mobile banking system. With analyzed results, we propose the information security control and management processes for assessing and improving security based on the mechanisms which composes mobile banking system.

  • As financial transactions using mobile devices have been activated, mobile payment services have appeared and many changes have been made to the existing financial service methods. Due to the simplified payment method of mobile payment service, security threats such as personal information leakage, phishing damage, and malicious code are increasing. Research that can solve this is needed. In this paper, we discuss the features and security factors of mobile payment system. In order to improve the security of mobile payment system, we propose a fault analysis method based on frequency of occurrence using Fault Fishbone Analysis(FFA) technique.

Among others, mobile banking service market based on IC chips has been expanded its service areas and the number of mobile banking users has been increased. The study analyzes and tests the dynamic effects of the inflow of potential customers on mobile banking market condition by using system dynamics methodology to identify the dynamic structure of mobile banking market. The simulation model is designed to track the variation in the number of subscribers of mobile banking servides according to two scenarios, and the results are as follows; First the effect of word of mouth by customers who have used the service already is significant. The satisfactory level of early adopters is reflected in WOM, and as a test result shows, increase in word-of-mouth causes the growth of potential customers' demands for mobile banking service. • Mobile technologies and services have become one of the inevitable parts of people's lives and mobile businesses have also been widespread. Popular mobile internet services through cell phones have made people in the financial industry consider that 'mobile' is promising. Nevertheless, there have been little studies of mobile services in the financial industry and most of the studies have been concentrated on internet services. The main purpose of this study is to investigate on the determinants of intention to use mobile banking. To achieve the goal, based on the theoretical backgrounds of the Technology Acceptance Model(TAM). Survey questionnaires were distributed via post & email to 500 users who have been experiences with cell phone and have an account. Out of 291 responded questionnaires, 275 data sets were available for statistical analysis with SPSS 10.1. Research hypotheses are analyzed by LISREL 8.30. Factor analysis identified seven external factors : (1) convenience, (2) cost, (3) unusefulness, (4) riskiness, (5) personal innovativeness (6) users' self-efficacy (7) experience of mobile services. Results of this study show that convenience, unusefulness, riskiness, personal innovativeness and experience of mobile services have significant effects on intention to use mobile banking . Much of the previous researches have dealt with service provider only and have focused on mobile internet. In this regard, when it comes to a viewpoint that regards the mobile banking sector as a new sector of mobile businesses. This study may provide a guideline to activate of mobile banking acceptance.

  • Due to the popularity of smartphones and the simplification of financial services, the number of mobile financial services is increasing. However, the security keypads developed for existing financial services are susceptible to probability analysis attacks and have security vulnerabilities. In this paper, we propose and implement a security keypad based on dual touch. Prior to the proposal, we examined the existing types of security keypads used in the mobile banking and mobile payment systems of Korean mobile financial businesses and analyzed the vulnerabilities. In addition, we compared the security of the proposed dual touch keypad as well as existing keypads using the authentication framework and the existing keypad attack types (Brute Force Attack, Smudge Attack, Key Logging Attack, and Shoulder Surfing Attack, Joseph Bonneau). Based on the results, we can confirm that the proposed security keypad with dual touch presented in this paper shows a high level of security. The security keypad with dual touch can provide more secure financial services, and it can be applied to other mobile services to enhance their security.
