An Interface Reactions between Sintered Mn-Zn Ferrite and $SiO_2$-PbO-ZnO Bonding Glass (Mn-Zn 페라이트 소결체와 $SiO_2$-PbO-ZnO 삼성분계 봉착유리와의 계면반응)

  • Mn-Zn 페라이트 소결체와 SiO$_2$-PbO-ZnO 삼성분계 유리와의 계면반응에서 페라이트와 유리에 각각 첨가된 ZnO가 계면반응에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. SiO$_2$-PbO-ZnO 삼성분계 유리에 첨가된 ZnO 함량이 낮은 경우 페라이트와의 접합계면에서 생성되는 중간상은 Pb$_2$(Mn,Fe)$_2$Si$_2$O$_{9}$와 Pb$_{8}$(Mn,Fe)Si$_{6}$O$_{21}$의 고용체였으며, ZnO 농도가 증가함에 따라 중간상은 사라졌다. 유리속의 ZnO 성분이 증가함에 따라 페라이트 소결체 쪽의 계면부근에 Zn의 농도가 증가하는 특이한 분포가 나타났다. 이는 유리 속에 첨가된 Zn 이온의 높은 활동도로 인해 페라이트에 포함된 Zn 이온의 용해반응이 선택적으로 억제되어 나타난 것으로 생각된다. 페라이트에 첨가된 ZnO 함량이 낮은 경우 SiO$_2$-PbO 이성분계 유리와의 접합계면에서 페라이트의 용해에 따른 침식과 입계를 통한 유리의 침투가 심하게 일어났으며, ZnO 함량이 증가함에 따라 계면을 통한 상호확산과 반응이 억제되었다.

  • 스위칭 전원에 사용되는 Mn-Zn 페라이트에 대항하는 고성능화의 요구에 부응하기 위해 그 중요한 요인이 되는 기수가 다른 Mn 산화물에 착목하여 그것들을 이용 제작한 Mn-Zn 페라이트의 자기특성 및 결정구조를 정밀하게 조사함과 동시에 그것들의 상관성을 검토하였다. Mn-Zn 페라이트의 소성 분위기의 변경방식은 소성개시에서 종료시까지 질소 분위기, 냉각시부터 질소분위기로 변경, 소성 개시에서 종료시까지 대기중 소성 세가지를 실험하였고, 소성 온도는 115$0^{\circ}C$, 120$0^{\circ}C$, 125$0^{\circ}C$ 130$0^{\circ}C$ 135$0^{\circ}C$ 및 140$0^{\circ}C$의 6종류의 시료를 제작하였다. 이 결과는 Mn-Zn 페라이트의 소성 분위기 및 온도 최적화는 승온 및 온도 유지 단계에서는 대기중으로, 냉각단계에서는 질소가스 분위기로 치환한 것과 소성 온도는 120$0^{\circ}C$ 이다. 이 분위기에서 Mn-Zn 페라이트를 가수를 다르게 하여 시료의 투자율 및 주파수 특성, 코아로스 주파수 의존성, 코아로스 주파수로 나눈값의 주파수 의존성, 스피넬 구조(311)의 면에서의 회절픽, 자화의 온도 의존성을 분석하였다. 이 결과는 Mn$_3$O$_4$를 출발원료로 사용한 Mn-Zn 페라이트가 투자율 및 한계 주파수 모두 뛰어난 특성을 나타내었다.

CO2 Decomposition with Waste Ferrite (폐기물 페라이트를 이용한 CO2분해)

  • The waste ferrites from magnetic core manufacturing process were used to $CO_2$gas decomposition to avoid the greenhouse effects. The waste ferrites are the mixed powder of Ni-Zn and Mn-Zn ferrites core. In the reduction of ferrites by 5% $H_2/Ar$ mixed gas, the weight loss of ferrites was about 14~16wt%. After the$CO_2$gas decomposition reaction, the weight of the reduced ferrites was increased up to 11wt%.$CO_2$gas was decomposed by oxidation of Fe and FeO in reduced compound and the phase of the waste ferrite was changed to spinel structure. A new technique capable of$CO_2$decomposition as low cost process through utilizing waste ferrite was development.

Electical and Electomagnetic wave Absorbing Properties of MnZn Ferrite-Rubber Composites in Microwave Frequencies (MnZn계 페라이트-고무 복합체의 마이크로파대역에서의 전기적 특성 및 전자파 흡수 특성)

  • Electrical and electromagnetic wave absorbing properties of MnZn ferrite-rubber composites have been examined for varying the volume fraction of ferrite powder from 0.1 to 0.4 in the frequency range between 1-10 GHz. As the volume fraction of MnZn ferrite increased, the complex permittivity and permeability of composite increased. The peak of reflection loss at the frequency corresponding to 1/4 wavelength shifts to lower frequency, and shifts to lower frequency as the thickness of absorber increased. We show that for the ferrite-rubber composites the volume fraction of ferrite should be controled to obtain the absorbing properties required in given frequency range.

  • In this paper, effect of ceramic processing was investigated on the magnetic properties of low loss Mn-Zn ferrite. High frequency characteristics, high saturated magnetic flux density and high magnetic permeability and low magnetism loss are required for the development of Mn-Zn ferrite, which is parts in the communication. therefore, in order to improve Mn-Zn ferrite with a high frequency , it is important to have a minimal change of particles and to control the eddy current loss caused by high resistance of the stratum of particles and to reduce the hysteresis loss by uniform change of detailed structure. In this paper, we added $V_2O_5\;and\;CaCo_3$ to Mn-Zn Ferrite to achieve a high efficiency, low loss core material. The compositions are MnO : ZnO : $Fe_2O_3$ = 21 : 10 : 69 mol%. They were sintered at $1250^{\circ}C$ for Three hours. Initial permeability was measured at 0.1MHz. At 50mT, Power loss was measured by temperature changing at 100kHz.

  • The effect of interface reaction between Mn-Zn ferrite single crystal and 61 SiO$_2$-23Pbo-6ZnO-8Na$_2$O-2K$_2$O (mol%) glass on the magnetic properties of the ferrite was investigated. After the reaction, the hump of Zn concentration appeared at the ferrite adjacent to the interface. The initial permeability of the ferrite bonded with the glass at 700 $^{\circ}C$ was 1766 at 100 KHz and reduced to 907 after reaction at 1000$^{\circ}C$. The permeability degradation with increasing reaction temperature was considered to be attributed not only to the sixe diminution of the ferrite due to the its dissolution into the glass but also to the residual stress due to the difference in expansion coefficient between the ferrite and the diffusion layer-the region of the hump of Zn concentration-adjacent to the interface.

  • We have prepared 20 kinds of Mn-Zn ferrites as content of CaO(0.1 mol%), NiO(0.0~0.60 mol%) and CoO(0.0~0.8 mol%) adding by the coprecipitation method and studied the magnetic properties as content of CaO, NiO and CoO adding. Initial permeability decrease as the content of NiO and CoO adding increases, while Curie tem~ perature increase as the content of NiO and CoO adding increases. $(H_{c})$, $(B_{s})$ and $(W_{h})$ increase as content of NiO adding increases.

  • 고주파용 전원의 필요성이 대두되면서 고주파에서 낮은 자기손실을 가진 재료의 개발이 요구되고 있다. Mn-Zn 페라이트의 자기손실은 전기비저항의 증거나 소결시 미세구조의 제어로 줄일 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 연쇄고온합성법(Self-propagation High- temperature Synthesis)에 의해 제조된 $_Mn_{0.72}$Z $n_{0.22}$)$_{0.94}$ (F $e_{2}$ $O_{3}$)$_{1.06}$ 조성의 Mn-Zn페라이트에서 첨가물이 미세구조와 자기적 성질에 미치는 영향에 대해 조사하였다. $SiO_{2}$와 Ca $Co_{3}$의 복합첨가에 의해 미세구조의 미세화와 아울러 낮은 자기손실 특성을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 첨가 물의 과다 첨가시에는 비정상입자성장 조직이 나타났으며 자기적 성질이 현저히 저하 하였다. 전기비저항, 자기손실의 주파수 의존 결과에 근거하여 주된 자기손실기구 및 이에 미치는 첨가물 효과에 대해 논하였다.

Magnetic Loss of Mn-Zn Ferrite Cores Used for SMPS (SMPS용 Mn-Zn 페라이트 코어의 자기손실 특성)

  • Frequency and temperature dependence of magnetic loss has been investigated in Mn-Zn ferrites containing the sesistive temary compounds of $SiO_2-CaO-V_2O_5$. The Mn-Zn ferrite with the composition of $MnO:ZnO:Fe_2O_3=36:11:53$(by mol %) are prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis. From the results of frequency dependence of core loss, it has been found that the hysteresis loss is dominant at low frequency and the eddy current loss becomes more dominant as the frequency increases. With the addition of resistive compound, the frequency dependence of core loss, it has been found that the hysteresis loss is dominant at low frequency and the eddy current loss becomes more dominant as the frequency increases. With the addition of resistive compound, the frequency region where the hysteresis loss is dominant becomes wide. The core-loss minimum occurs at about 4$0^{\circ}C$ in the specimens with the additive because of the reduction in eddy current loss.

  • The effect of oxide additive system and $Po_2$ condition on the power loss, microstructure, initial permeability, ${\mu}_i$ vs. temperature curve of Mn-Zn ferrites has been investigated. The density and permeability increased with various additive systems while the power loss decreased. It was confirmed that the oxide additives are grain boundary materials and do not change the magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrites such as $T_{spm}$ and $T_c$. The ${\mu}_i$ vs. T curve indicated that $T_{spm}$ moved to the higher temperature as $Po_2$ increased. It was also confirmed that the microstructure of Mn-Zn ferrites was independent of the $Po_2$ control during cooling.
