S.E.C 방식에 의한 콘크리트의 혼합효과에 관한 연구 (Effect of S.E.C Mixing on the Properties of Concrete)

  • Conventional concrete mixing method is to put all of the materials simultaneously into a mixer and mix for a required time. However, recently concrete researchers have reported that mixing sequence iufluences the properties of concrete. This study discusses the influence of mixing sequence and partitioning addition of mixing water. Concrete, by method of partitioning addition of mixing water, was found to have substantially stronger strength than conventional concrete with the same water-cement ratio. This means that a higher strength concrete could be obtained by using “Sand Enveloped with Cement”(S.E.C) mixing technique. Both a high bond strength between cement paste and aggregate, and elimination of bleeding both contribute to improving the strength of S. E. C concrete.

진동 교반기가 있는 미소채널에서 혼합에 대한 Karman 와의 영향 (The Effect of Karman Vortex for Mixing in a Micro-channel with an Oscillating Micro-stirrer)

  • In order to consider the effect of Karman vortex for mixing, mixing indices are calculated for 4 models of micro channel flows driven from the combinations of a circular cylinder and a oscillating stirrer. And their results are compared to that of a simple straight micro channel flow(model I). The mixing rate is improved 5.5 times by Karman vortex (model II) and 11.0 times by the stirrer(model III) respectively. In case of successive mixing by the cylinder and the stirrer(model IV), $27\%$ of shortening the channel length for the complete mixing as well as 1.37 times improvement of mixing efficiency then model III. And then, variation of mixing indices are much stable comparing with the others. Thus, it is found that the Karman vortex plays a good role as a pre-mixing method. The D2Q9 Lattice Boltzmann methods are used.

  • For the development of 100[W] stage lighting, quantitative and uniform color mixing that applied through color adopted Simple-Inverse matching so that color mixing can be possible along Black Body Locus. R,G,B(Red, Green, Blue) LED(Light Emitting Diode) arrangement through LED package character analysis, LED module, and the characteristic of device were considered for uniform color mixing. A distance changeable optical device was built to assure high uniformity and high diffusion of not only the middle of diffusion side but also the border side. Also, we developed the control power circuit that can expand up to 6 channels which are possible for quantitative color mixing, and the high uniformity and high quantified border light for color mixing control and the verification of color mixing characteristics by composing GUI(Graphical user interface) including color mixing simulator. By presenting the experimental results of light color control, we proved the usefulness of our developed border light and the proposed color mixing method.

  • Variations of reaction sequence of $Pb(Zn_{0.6}Mg_{0.4})_{1/3}Nb_{2/3}O_3$[PZMN] with precusor mixing methods were ex-amined using X-ray diffraction and dielectric characteristics. In the present study three different types of precursor mixing methods (oxide mixing PbO+$ZnNb_2O_6+MgNb_2O_6$[Zn+MN] and PbO+(Zn,Mg)$Nb_2O_6$[ZMN] precursor mixing) were adopted. When the oxide mixing method was used for the PZMN synthesis a Zn-rich perovskite phase and pyrochlore phase were formed. Compared with PbO+ZN+MN precursor mixing method the PbO-ZMN precursor led to a lowering of the formation temperature for perovskite sin-gle phase. These variation of composition and formation temperature of the perovskite phase were dis-cussed in terms of the difference in the solid-reaction requence between these three different types of pre-cursor mixing.

  • 식품, 약학 분야 등 많은 산업 분야에서 다른 특징을 가지는 분자 알갱이들을 잘 혼합하는 것은 중요한 작업이다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 발달로 적정 수준의 혼합 상태를 얻기 위해 먼저 시뮬레이션을 통한 최적의 혼합 조건들을 찾는 작업이 보편화되고 있다. 이에 따라 시뮬레이션 과정에서 혼합 상태를 측정할 수 있는 혼합 지수에 대한 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 현재까지 많이 사용되는 혼합 지수는 두 가지 종류로 분류되는데 첫째는 샘플링을 통한 통계적 기반의 방법이고 두 번째는 전체 입자들을 모두 사용하여 혼합 지수를 계산하는 방법이다. 본 논문에서는 DEM 시뮬레이션으로 입자들을 혼합하는 과정에서 획득한 데이터에 대해 다양한 혼합 지수들을 계산하여 각 혼합 지수들의 성능과 장단점을 비교 분석하였다. 이로써 적절한 혼합지수를 선택하여 사용할 수 있는 실험적 정보를 제시하고자 한다.

질화규소의 소결 및 기계적 특성에 미치는 소결첨가제 혼합방법의 영향 (Effect of Mixing Method of Sintering Additives on the Sintered and Mechanical Properties of $Si_3N_4$)

  • 소결첨가제($3Al_2O_3{\cdot}5Y_2O_3$, YAG)를 질화규소에 공침방법으로 첨가하여, 통상적인 기계적 혼합 방법으로 준비된 혼합분말에 대한 혼합균일성과 소결 및 기계적 특성을 조사, 비교하였다. 준비된 혼합분말들을 SIMS를 사용하여 분말 표면과 내부의 조성을 비교분석한 결과, 공침법을 사용할 경우 소결첨가제가 $Si_3N_4$ 표면에 피복된 상태로 존재하고 있음을 나타내어 기계적 혼합에 비해 우수한 균일혼합효과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. 공침법에 의한 균일혼합효과는 $Si_3N_4$ 분말소결체의 소결밀도 및 미세구조의 개선을 수반하여 기계적 강도의 향상을 이룰 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Method for estimating workability of self-compacting concrete using mixing process images

  • Estimating the workability of self-compacting concrete (SCC) is very important both in laboratories and on construction site. A method using visual information during the mixing process was proposed in this paper to estimate the workability of SCC. First, fourteen specimens of concrete were produced by a single-shaft mixer. A digital camera was used to record all the mixing processes. Second, employing the digital image processing, the visual information from mixing process images was extracted. The concrete pushed by the rotating blades forms two boundaries in the images. The shape of the upper boundary and the vertical distance between the upper and lower boundaries were used as two visual features. Thirdly, slump flow test and V-funnel test were carried out to estimate the workability of each SCC. Finally, the vertical distance between the upper and lower boundaries andthe shape of the upper boundary were used as indicators to estimate the workability of SCC. The vertical distance between the upper and lower boundaries was related to the slump flow, the shape of the upper boundary was related to the V-funnel flow time. Based on these relationships, the workability of SCC could be estimated using the mixing process images. This estimating method was verified by three more experiments. The experimental results indicate that the proposed method could be used to automatically estimate SCC workability.

  • The purpose of this paper is to present and discuss some of harbor foundation constructed on seashore soft ground by Deep Wing Mixing in deep mixing method. A series of laboratory and field experiments including unconfined compressive strength, permeability, geo-physical survey, sea water concentration, lateral and settlement measurement, field core sample were carried out to check physical, mechanical and environmental characteristics of solidified foundation soil treated by HWS solidifying agent. The results from this research showed that Deep Wing Mixing method could be efficiently applied in the construction site of seashore structure foundation.

  • The multifrequency eddy current testing(ECT) have been proposed various frequency mixing algorithms. In this study, we compare these approaches to frequency mixing of ECT signals from steam generator tubes; time-domain optimization, discrete cosine transform-domain optimization. Specifically, in this study, two different frequency mixing algorithms, a time-domain optimization method and a discrete cosine transform(DCT) optimization method, are investigated using the experimental signals captured from the ASME standard tube. The DCT domain optimization method is computationally fast but produces larger amount of residue.

$^7Li$ NMR studies of LiMn$_2$O$_4$ prepared by eutectic self-mixing method without any mixing

  • Lithiated transition metal oxides such as LiMn2O4, Lil-xMnO$_2$, LiNiO$_2$, LiCoO$_2$, and their solid solution phases are used as cathode materials for lithium rechargeable batteries. We prepared the cathode materials using a novel eutectic self-mixing method without any artificial mixing procedures. This method provides an extraordinarily simple way to make the cathode materials, and it is possible to prepare at very low temperature such as 25$0^{\circ}C$. Furthermore, the cathode materials produced have discharge capacities that are much better than cathode materials prepared by previously reported synthetic methods. The spontaneous and homogeneous mixing is verified by $^{7}$ Li magic-angle-spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy.
