The effects of the cation-to-anion resin ratio and bed depth on ion exchange performance of mixed-bed were studied at ultralow solution concentration. Breakthrough curves were experimentally obtained for NaCI solution as functions of resin ratio and bed depth. The bed depth affects the pattern of the sodium breakthrough curve but not the chloride breakthrough curve in beds because of the selectivity difference. Resin selectivity determines the shape of breakthrough curves, Some sodium and chloride breakthrough curves crossed at a point as a function of resin ratio. The lower cation-to-anion resin ratio showed the higher effluent concentration or treated volume of the crossover point regardless of the total resin weight.
According to the fact that Macbansuk and clay are very porous, we produced combined adsorbent and we investigated the removing capacity of adsorbent to toxic heavy metal (Pb, Cu) in the single and mixed solution. Then the experimental parametars were pH, reaction time and amount of adsorbent. And we studied possibility of adsorbent by applying to the Freundlich isotherm. As raising the pH of single and mixed solution in range 2~5, the maximum adsorption capability was investigated in range 3~4. When Cu and Pb were applied to Freundlich isotherm, l/n were 0.291 and 0.513 respectively. In the case of mixed solution with both, l/n value was 0.614. In this study, we concluded that the combined adsorbent treated toxic heavy metal is possible under 100 ppm of its concentration.
In this paper, we establish sufficient conditions for the solution set of parametric generalized vector mixed quasivariational inequality problem to have the semicontinuities such as the inner-openness, lower semicontinuity and Hausdorff lower semicontinuity. Moreover, a key assumption is introduced by virtue of a parametric gap function by using a nonlinear scalarization function. Then, by using the key assumption, we establish condition ($H_h$(${\gamma}_0$, ${\lambda}_0$, ${\mu}_0$)) is a sufficient and necessary condition for the Hausdorff lower semicontinuity, continuity and Hausdorff continuity of the solution set for this problem in Hausdorff topological vector spaces with the objective space being infinite dimensional. The results presented in this paper are different and extend from some main results in the literature.

Zinc soap and Zn/Ba mixed metal soap were synthesized and PVC plastisol with mixed metal soap and various costabilizers were also synthesized with good structures and characterized by IR and $^1H$-NMR. The IR spectrums and $^1H$-NMR spectrums of the synthesized soaps were in very good accordance with the structures proposed by earlier workers. In using phosphite as a costabilizer, TIDP phosphite was shown to be the excellent thermal stabilization effect at the low temperature and TNPP phosphite was shown to be the excellent thermal stabilization effect at the high temperature. In case of antioxidant, it was revealed that antioxidant was not effective in the low temperature thermal stabilization effect while highly effective in the high temperature thermal stability. $NaClO_4$ solution with sorbitol solvent had the best thermal stabilization effect among $NaClO_4$ solution series at low and high temperature.

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of mixed surfactant solution for removal of perchloroethylene (PCE) in soil. Ten different surfactant solutions were used in column studies. Mixed surfactant solutions (anionic and nonionic) were most effectively worked in the sandy soil for removal of PCE as a result of synergism between the two types of surfactants. The effectiveness of the mixture of surfactants was 35 % greater than that for the anionic or nonionic surfactant alone. The results indicate that mixed surfactant solution leaching is a promising candidate for the remediation of PCE contaminated sandy soil.

The corrosion of the embedded steel rebars and the consequent deterioration of the reinforced concrete structure has become a challenging concern to the construction industries for the fiscal deficit. However, corrosion inhibitors are potential and being widely used for corrosion mitigation to solve such problems. This study has been focused on the mixed type of corrosion inhibitor where one component of the corrosion inhibitor is organic and another one is inorganic material. 0.1 (M) triethanolamine (TEA) and 0.01 (M) sodium hexametaphosphate (SHMP) have been mixed in distilled water to produce the mixed inhibitor. Studies of the steel rebar corrosion in chloride contaminated (3.5 wt.% NaCl) concrete pore (CCCP) solution has been conducted using different concentrations of corrosion inhibitor. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) method is involved to understand the corrosion behaviour of the steel rebars at different exposure durations.

In this study, a concrete was prepared using an alkaline aqueous solution produced by electrolyzing potassium carbonate in order to improve the low initial strength of concrete using blast furnace slag. In order to confirm the increase in initial strength, the compressive strength of specimens was measured on the age of 7, 28 days. As a result, the blast furnace slag concrete using the electrolysis alkaline aqueous solution as the mixed water show high strength more than the blast furnace slag concrete using the general mixed water.
In order to enhance the Au Ag leach rate, a mechanochemical activation process and a mixed thiourea-thiocyanate solution has been applied to Au concentrate. To achieve mechanochemical activation, the Au concentrate was mechanically ground using a dry and a wet process. The results of a particle size distribution analysis and an XRD analysis, average particle size and crystallite size were much smaller in the dry-sample than in the concentrate sample. As well the size was smaller in the wet-sample than in the dry-sample. In SEM and XRD analysis, the amorphization effect was observed in the wet-sample due to mechanochemical activation. Au Ag leaching experiments were carried out with a thiourea solution, a thiocyanate solution and a mixed thiourea-thiocyanate solution. The Au Ag leach rate was much greater in the dry-ground-sample than in the concentrate sample, and the leach rate was greater in the wet-ground-sample than in the dry-sample. The Au Ag leach rate was much greater in the thiocyanate solution than in the thiourea solution, and the leaching rate was much greater in the mixed thiourea-thiocyanate solution than in the thiocyanate solution. Up to a 99% leach rate for Au Ag were only achieved in the wet-sample using the mixed thiourea-thiocyanate leaching solution.
The sericin fixation of raw silk by formalin and glutaraldehyde mixed solutions was done and the effect of sericin fixtion by various conditions on degumming ratio, whiteness and physical properties was investigated and discusse. The obtained results were summarized as follows ; The sericin fixation by 1% formalin solution and upward, regardlles the concentration of glutaraldehyde solution, improved the whitenes of raw silk to 96% level of non fixed raw silk. The decrease of whiteness by degumming was prevented effectively by treatment of formalin and glutaraldehyde mixed solutions. The complete sericin fixation was obtained by the treatment of mixed solution including above 0.5% formalin solution. The proper treatment of sericin fixation can make increase the values of tenacity and elongation of silk.
Nitric acid free pickling solution was applied to solve the severe environmental problems attributed to nitric acid during pickling process of stainless steel product. In points of pickling capability and erosion of stainless steel base metal, a solution contains I% of hydrochloric acid and 2% of hydrofluoric acid and hydrogen peroxide was revealed as the best alternative to conventional mixed acid of nitric acid and hydrofluoric acid. To keep the pickling capability, it was necessary to maintain the concentration ratio of hydrogen peroxide to hydrochloric acid above 0.5.
