The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of jet set cement, which mixed with the mineral admixtures such as silica fume, fly ash and ground granulated blast furnace slag. First, the test of mortar according to the substitute ratio of mineral admixtures were evaluated. And then using it obtained from test results, it was conducted with experiment of mechanical, physical and permeable characteristics of concrete. Laboratory test results showed that concrete substituted for $5\%$ of silica fume didn't have an effect on prominent performance relating to compressive strength. However it was superior to concrete in case of resistance of chloride permeation.

A recently developed finishing process using rotating magnetic field is known to be very efficient for the finishing of parts such as vacuum tube, sanitary tube, etc., which are difficult to be finished by the conventional finishing methods as they are generally curbed tubes. But, the finishing system using rotating magnetic field have the defect that is the cross section of workpiece only circle because of internal rotating tool. Therefore, new finishing process of the workpieces which cross section are not circle is important and required. magnetic abrasive jet machining is a new concept finishing process. It is the precision internal finishing method using working fluid mixed with magnetic abrasives, which is jetted into the internal surface of tube. And magnetic poles are equipped on external surface of tube. In this study new concept finishing process or, magnetic abrasive jet machining system was developed. machining condition was predicted using simulation and some characteristics of the finishing process was analyzed.
In this study, we prepared the multi-refraction film thin by ink-jet technique with sol-gel precursor. The precursors were prepared by using some transition metal alk-oxide and the tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) mixed separately with n-Butyl Alcohol and PVB (Poly(vinyl butyral)).The structure and morphology of the resulting films were investigated by atomic force microscope (AFM). It is shown that the shape of the pattern of the films would affect the refraction proportion.
The purpose of this study was to suggest 10 kinds of case and perform Mixed-flow pump optimum design and performance analysis depending on the shape of the impeller for suitable to water jet propulsion system. H20 was applied to the material properties, to analysis conditions for water jet axial impeller 1000 rpm given analysis was performed. Interpretation for each case as a result of speed, pressure, flow rate, calculate the thrust at the Inlet Angle $30^{\circ}$ and Outlet Angle $30^{\circ}$ could see a persistence of optimal performance.
This basic study is required to examine spray or jet behavior depending on fuel phase. In this study, analyses of diesel fuel(n-Tridecane, $C_{13}H_{28}$) spray and natural gas fuel(Methane, $CH_4$) jet under high temperature and pressure are performed by a general-purpose program, ANSYS CFX release 11.0, and the results of these are compared with experimental results of diesel fuel spray using the exciplex fluorescence method. The simulation results of diesel spray is analyzed by using the combination of Large-Eddy Simulation(LES) and Lagrangian Particle Tracking(LPT) and of a natural gas jet is analyzed by using Multi-Component Model(MCM). There are two study variables considered, that is, ambient pressure and injection pressure. In a macroscopic analysis, the higher ambient pressure is, the shorter spray or jet tip penetration is at each time after start of injection. And the higher injection pressure is, the longer spray or jet tip penetration is at each time after start of injection. When liquid fuel is injected, droplets of the fuel need some time to evaporate. However, when natural gas fuel is injected, the fuel does not need time to evaporate. Gas fuel consists of minute particles. Therefore, the gas fuel is mixed with the ambient gas more quickly at the initial time of injection than the liquid fuel is done. The experimental results also validate the usefulness of this analysis.

Recently, high performance machining center requires special type of sealing mechanism that prevent a leakage of oil jet or oil mist lubrication system. Sealing of oil-air mixture plays important r oles to have an enhanced lubrication for performance machining center. Current work emphasizes on investigations of the air jet effect on the protective collar type labyrinth seal. To improve sealing capabilities of conventional labyrinth seals, air jet is injected against the leakage flow. In this study, an adapted model is introduced to improve sealing capability of conventional non-contact type seals. It has a combined geometry of a protective collar type and an air jet type. Both of a numerical analysis by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and experimental measurements are carried out to verify sealing improvement. The sealing effects of the leakage clearance and the air jet magnitude aic studied in various parameters. Gas or liquid has been used as a working fluid for most of nori-contact types seals including the labyrinth seal. However, it is more reasonable to regard two-phase flows because oil mist or oil jet are used for high performance spindle's lubrication. In this study, working fluid is regarded as two phases that are mixed flow of oil and air phase. Both of turbulence and compressible flow model are also introduced in a CFD analysis to represent an isentropic process. Estimation of non-leaking property is determined by amount of pressure drop in the leakage path. Results of pressure drop in the experiment match reasonably to those of the simulation by introducing a flow coefficient. Effect of the sealing improvement is explained as decreasing of leakage clearance by air jetting. Thus, sealing effect is improved by amount of air jetting even though clearance becomes larger

There are many of anaerobic culture methods and equipments for isolation and cultivation of anaerabic bacteria, but most of these methods are used without pre-reduced media. Gas-jet method is a recommend. able method for the culture of anaerobes, resently developed. Bacteriological studies were experimented of liver abscess of cattle by the use of gas. jet method. The results were summarised as follows; 1. Gas-jet method for anaerobic culture are expedient for the making of pre-reduced media, maintaining of oxygen free condition in the culture tube, picking of bacteria from colony and colony counting etc. 2. A 121 strains of facultative anaerobic and anaerobic bacteria were isolated from liver abscess of 27 head of cattle, and the isolated anaerobic bacteria were as follows. Peptostreptococcus spp. 7 strains Acid aminococcus fermentans 1 Veillonella spp. 1 Bacterioides spp. 6 Bifidobacterium spp. 4 Arachinia propionica 2 Lactobacillus spp. 4 Propionibacterium acnes 1 3. Liver abscess were infected with many of bacteria, about $10^3-10^9$ numbers per gram of abcessed tissue. Almost of abscess were mixed infection of various bacterial species rather than simple species.

Study that form micro pattern by direct ink jet printing method is getting attention recently. Direct ink jet printing spout fine droplet including nano metal particle by force or air pressure. There is reason which ink jet printing method is profitable especially in a various micro-patterning technology. It can embody patterns directly without complex process such as mask manufacture or screen-printing for existent lithography. In this study, research of a technology that ejects fine droplet form of Pico liter and forms metal micro pattern was carried with inkjet head of piezoelectricity drive system. Droplet established pattern while ejecting consecutively and move on the surface at the fixed speed. Patterns formed in ink are mixed with organic solvent and polymer that act as binder. So added thermal hardening process after evaporate organic solvent at isothermal after printing. I executed high frequency special quality estimation of CPW transmission line to confirm electrical property of manufactured circuit board. We tried a large area printing to confirm application possibility of an ink jet technology.

Transient mixing states of two different fuel oils, dimethylformamide (DMF) oil and JetA1 oil, were investigated by using a color image processing and a neural network. A tank ($D{\times}H$, $310{\times}370mm$) was filled with JetA1 oil. The DMF oil was filled at a top tank, and was mixed with the JetA1 oil in the tank mixing tank via a sudden opening which was performed by nitrogen gas with 1.9 bar. An impeller was rotated with 700 rpm for mixing enhancements of the two fuel oils. To visualize the mixing state of the DMF oil with the JetA1 oil, the DMF oil was coated with Rhodamine B whose color was red. A LCD monitor was used for uniform illumination. The color changes of the DMF oil were captured by a camcoder and the images were transferred to a host computer for quantifying the information of color changes. The color images of two mixed oils were captured with the camcoder. The R, G, B color information of the captured images was used to quantify the concentration of the DMF oil. To quantify the concentration of the DMF oil in the JetA1 oil, a calibration of color-to-concentration was carried out before the main experiment was done. Transient mixing states of DMF oil with the JetA1 oil since after the sudden infiltration were quantified and characterized with the constructed visualization technique.
Processes controlling the interannual variation of mixed layer temperature (MLT) averaged over the NINO3 domain ($150-90^{\circ}W$, $5^{\circ}N-5^{\circ}S$) are studied using an ocean data assimilation product that covers the period of 1993 to 2003. Advective tendencies are estimated here as the temperature fluxes through the domain's boundaries, with the boundary temperature referenced to the domain-averaged temperature to remove the dependence on temperature scale. The overall balance is such that surface heat flux opposes the MLT change but horizontal advection and subsurface processes assist the change. The zonal advective tendency is caused primarily by large-scale advection of warm-pool water through the western boundary of the domain. The meridional advective tendency is contributed mostly by Ekman current advecting large-scale temperature anomalies though the southern boundary of the domain. Unlike many previous studies, we explicitly evaluate the subsurface processes that consist of vertical mixing and entrainment. In particular, a rigorous method to estimate entrainment allows an exact budget closure. The vertical mixing across the mixed layer (ML) base has a contribution in phase with the MLT change. The entrainment tendency due to temporal change in ML depth is negligible comparing to other subsurface processes. The entrainment tendency by vertical advection across the ML base is dominated by large-scale changes in wind-driven upwelling and temperature of upwelling water. Tropical instability waves (TIWs) result in smaller-scale vertical advection that warms the domain during La Ni? cooling events. When the advective tendencies are evaluated by spatially averaging the conventional local advective tendencies of temperature, the apparent effects of currents with spatial scales smaller than the domain (such as TIWs) become very important as they redistribute heat within the NINO3 domain. However, such internal redistribution of heat does not represent external processes that control the domain-averaged MLT.
