The aim of this study was to evaluate different herbicides in corn-soybean intercropping for optimum growth, yield and nutritive value of forage under Korean environment conditions. Herbicidal treatments were randomly applied over five plots, viz. (1) Control treatment: no herbicide; (2) Alachlor; (3) Simazine; (4) Pendimethalin and (5) Mixture of alachlor and simazine herbicides in RCBD have three replications. Results depicted that treated herbicides exhibited significant effect over control of weeds. Simazine herbicide alone or mixed with alachlor had adverse effects on soybean but enhanced (p<0.05) corn production in terms of survivability, dry matter and digestible nutrients yield. Corn-soybean coupling and total dry matter yield were greater (p<0.05) in pendimethalin. Simazine-alachlor mixture reduced (p<0.05) soybean height. Conclusively, simazine could not be suitable for corn soybean intercropping because of having an adverse effect on soybean component. Pendimethalin could maintain growth and yield of corn and soybean both components. Effect of alachlor was comparable to that of pendimethalin.
The stoichiometric mix of evaporating materials for he CuInS₂ single crystal thin films was prepared. To obtain the single crystal thin films, CuINS₂ mixed crystal was deposited on etched semi-insulator GaAs(100) substrate by the hot wall epitaxy(HWE) system. The source and substrate temperature were 640℃ and 430℃, respectively and the thickness of the single crystal thin films was 2 ㎛. The crystalline structure of single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction(DCXD). The carrier density and mobility deduced from Hall data are 9.64x10/sup 22//㎥ and 2.95x10/sup -2/ ㎡/V·s, respectively at 293 K. he optical energy gap was found to be 1.53 eV at room temperature. From the photocurrent spectrum obtained by illuminating perpendicular light on the c-axis of the thin film, we have found that the values of spin orbit coupling splitting ΔSo and the crystal field splitting ΔCr were 0.0211 eV and 0.0045 eV at 10K, respectively. From PL peaks measured at 10K, were can assign the 807.7 nm (1.5350 eV) peak to E/sub x/ peak of the free exciton emission, the 810.3 nm(1.5301 eV) peak to I₂ peak of donar-bound exciton emission and the 815.6 nm(1.5201 eV) peak to I₁ peak of acceptor-bound excition emission. In addition, the peak observed at 862.0 nm(1.4383 eV) was analyzed to be PL peak due to donor-acceptor pair(DAP).

Novel multiblock copolymers, based on segmented sulfonated hydrophilic-hydrophobic blocks, were synthesized and investigated for their application as proton exchange membranes. A series of segmented sulfonated poly(arylene ether sulfone)-b-polyimide multiblock copolymers, with various block lengths, were synthesized via the coupling reaction between the terminal amine moieties on the hydrophilic blocks and naphthalene anhydride functionalized hydrophobic blocks. Successful imidization reactions required a mixed solvent system, comprised of NMP and m-cresol, in the presence of catalysts. Proton conductivity measurements revealed that the proton conductivity improved with increasing hydrophilic and hydrophobic block lengths. The morphological structure of the multiblock copolymers was investigated using tapping mode atomic force microscopy (TM-AFM). The AFM images of the copolymers demonstrated well-defined nanophase separated morphologies, with the changes in the block length having a pronounced effect on the phase separated morphologies of the system. The self diffusion coefficient of water, as measured by $^1H$ NMR, provided a better understanding of the transport process. Thus, the block copolymers showed higher values than Nafion, and comparable proton conductivities in liquid water, as well as under partially hydrated conditions at $80^{\circ}C$. The new materials are strong candidates for use in PEM systems.
Piezoelectric and dielectric behaviors of a piezoceramic patch adhesively centered on a carbon composite plate are identified using a robust multi-objective optimization procedure. For this purpose, the patch piezoelectric stress coupling and blocked dielectric constants are automatically evaluated for a wide frequency range and for the different identifiable behaviors. Latters' symmetry conditions are coded in the design plans serving for response surface methodology-based sensitivity analysis and meta-modeling. The identified constants result from the measured and computed open-circuit frequencies deviations minimization by a genetic algorithm that uses meta-model estimated frequencies. Present investigations show that the bonded piezoceramic patch has effective three-dimensional (3D) orthotropic piezoelectric and dielectric behaviors. Besides, the sensitivity analysis indicates that four constants, from eight, dominate the 3D orthotropic behavior, and that the analyses can be reduced to the electromechanically coupled modes only; therefore, in this case, and if only the dominated parameters are optimized while the others keep their nominal values, the resulting piezoelectric and dielectric behaviors are found to be transverse-isotropic. These results can help designing piezoceramics smart composites for various applications like noise, vibration, shape, and health control.
The magnetic properties of single- and poly-crystalline $La_{0.7}Sr_{0.3}MnO_3/Pr_{0.65}Ca_{0.35}MnO_3$ multilayered (ML) films, and composite (CP) $(La_{0.7}Sr_{0.3})_{0.5}(Pr_{0.65}Ca_{0.35}_{0.5}MnO_3$ films, prepared by laser ablation, have been investigated in a wide temperature range. It was shown that the transformation from an incoherent to a coherent interface in the ML films leads to an enhancement of the ferromagnetic coupling between layers and to a single-phase magnetic transition. The amorphous CP films demonstrate a paramagnetic behavior of the magnetization with a sharp peak at $T_{G}\approx$45 K, which was interpreted as the formation of Griffiths phase. A short-term annealing at $750^{\circ}C$ induced the complete crystallization of film, and a recovery of the ferromagnetic and the metal-insulator transitions.
In this study, lead-free $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-BiTiO_3$ ceramics were fabricated by a conventional mixed oxide method. Structural and electrical properties of lead-free $(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3$ ceramics with the variation of $BiTiO_3$ were investigated. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis showed a typical polycrystalline perovskite structure without presence of the second phase in all specimens. Sintered density increased with an increasing of BTO and the specimen added with 0.07 mol% of $BiTiO_3$ showed the maximum value of 97.8%. Average grain size decreased and densification increased with an increasing of $BiTiO_3$ contents. The electromechanical coupling factor of the 0.01 mol% $BiTiO_3$ doped NKN specimens was 0.32. Dielectric constant, dielectric loss and Curie temperature of the 0.07 mol% $BiTiO_3$ doped NKN specimens were 1185, 0.145% and $400^{\circ}C$, respectively.
In this paper, we deal with the effect on magnetic properties when Nd is added to Sr ferrite bonded magnet. First, we choose SrO$_{n}$.Fe$_2$O$_3$(n=5.9), which is nonstoichiomatric composition, as specimen ferrite. Then, we add 5wt% polyvinyl alcohol and calcinate at 12$25^{\circ}C$ under $N_2$ environment for carbon coating on chemical compound specimen. After that we obtain 1.2${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ single domain powder through grinding process for 18 hours. The single domain Sr ferrite Powder is well mixed with silage coupling and calcium stearate of 1wt% Then, it is kneaded by using polyamide12 as a binder and is pelleted. After adding Nd-Fe-B powder to the pelleted specimen, we injection-mould it under magnetic field by using anisotropic mould. Especially, when we add l3wt% Nd-Fe-B powder to the polyamide12, we obtain excellent magnetic propertiecs which are $_{B}$H$_{C}$=2.65KOe, Br=3.16KG and (BH)$_{max}$=2.61MGOeOeOeOeOe
The stochiometric mixture of evaporating materials for the $CuInTe_2$ single crystal thin films was prepared from horizontal furnace. To obtain the single crystal thin films, $CuInTe_2$ mixed crystal was deposited on throughly etched GaAs(100) by the Hot Wall Epitaxy(HWE) system. The source and substrate temperature were $610^{\circ}C\;and\;450^{\circ}C$ respectively, and the growth rate of the single crystal thin films was about $0.5{\mu}m/h$. The crystalline structure of single crystal thin films was investigated by the double crystal X-ray diffraction(DCXD). From the photocurrent spectra, we have found that values of spin orbit coupling ${\Delta}So$ and crystal field splitting ${\Delta}Cr$ ware $0.283{\underline{3}}eV\;and\;0.120{\underline{0}}eV$, respectively.
그 결과 초미세분리상수 A$_{H1}$과 A$_{H2}$는 2-propanol에서 1.662, 0.378, 2-pentanol에서 1.602, 0.361 G이었고, benzene에서는 A$_{H1}$은 1.518이었다.
