엔진 연결봉 베어링의 최소 유막 두께에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Minimum Oil Film Thickness of Connecting-rod Bearing in Engine)

  • The minimum oil film thickness(MOFT) in the connecting-rod bering of a 1.5 liter, L-4, gasoline engine is measured up to 5500 rpm and calculated to study the dynamically loaded engine bearing. Short bearing approximation and Mobility method are used for theoretical analysis of oil film charactrtistics. And cylinder pressure, crank-pin surface temperature and bearing tenp ture are measured as the input data of theoretical analysis. The MOFT are measured by the total capacitance method(TCM). To improve the reliability of the test results, a reasonable detmuuination method of bearing clearance is introduced and used, and the effects of cavitation and aeration on the test results are neglected. The crankshaft is grounded by means of a slip ring. A scissor type linkage system was developed to measure the MOFT and bearing temperature. The effects of engine speed, load and oil viscosity on the measured and calculated minimum oil film thicknesses are investigated at 1500 to 5500 rpm. From the comparison between the measured and calculated MOFT, it is found that a qualitative similarity exists between them, but in all cases, the measured MOFT are smaller than those calculated.

기상요인과 채취시기가 옻나무 칠액채취량 및 칠액의 質에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Climatic Factors and Tapping Date on Yield and Quality of Lactree (Rhus verniciflua) Sap)

  • This study was conducted to understand the effects of weather and tapping date on yield and quality of lactree(Rhus verniciflua) sap yield showed a significant positive correlation with the minimum temperature of one day before sap collection at 1% level and with theminimum humidity of theday of sap collection at 5% level. However, the differences between the maximum and the minimum temperatures and humidities of the day of sap collection were negatively correlated with the sap yield at 5% level. Multiple regression analysis indicated that the minimum temperature of one day bofore sap collection and the minumum humidity of the day sap collection were important factors for increasing sap yield. The high sap yield of lactree by Japanese tapping method was recorded during mid-July and early August. Seasonal variation in lactree sap constituents was observed. The sap collected on 15th of August contained the highest urushiol content (68.3%) and the lowest water content resulting in high quality of lactree sap. By reversed-phase HPLC analysis, fove urushiol components were separated from each other depending on the number of doulbe bonds in the side-chain , and seaxonal variation of urushiol composition was noticed. The 3-C15 triene content fo the sap collected on 5th of July was the highest(77.56%) indicating the major component of urushiol which affects lactree sap quality.

발열의류로 인한 화재위험성 및 저온화상에 대한 분석 연구 (A Study of the analysis on the risk of ignition and low-temperature burns caused by the use of electrically heated clothes)

  • 연구목적 : 본 연구는 최근 많이 이용하고 있는 발열조끼에 의한 저온화상과 화재위험성 도출을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 : 사용전압보다 더 높은 전압에 발열조끼를 연결하는 실험을 실시하였다. 연구결과 : 재현실험한 결과 높은 저온화상과 발화위험성을 알 수 있었다. 또한 같은 전압을 인가했을 때 상대적으로 열선의 저항값이 더 낮은 발열조끼 제품이 더 높은 온도에 도달한다는 것도 알 수 있었다. 결론 : 발열조끼는 온도조절장치나 타이머가 존재하지 않아 온도가 급격히 올라갈 경우 안전장치가 없다는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 화재나 저온화상의 위험성을 줄이기 위해서는 열선의 최소저항값 기준을 설정하고, 낮은 저항값을 가지는 열선 사용의 규제가 필요하다.

Effect of cold stress on infanticide by female Swiss albino mice Mus musculus: a pilot study

  • Background: Mice are widely accepted research models of great clinical significance. Maintenance of laboratory mice breed is an essential aspect for performing research activities in various fields of science. Infanticide is one of the prominent causes of litter loss during maintenance of laboratory mice stock. The present study is an effort to monitor the effect of change in ambient temperature of female mice below the normal range on cannibalism and infanticide during early postparturition phase. Adult female Swiss albino mice have been divided into two groups of control and treatment. On the day of litter group one was maintained under controlled temperature conditions (minimum $20^{\circ}C$ to maximum $23^{\circ}C$) throughout, while female mice belong to group two have been exposed to variation of room temperature (maximum $15^{\circ}C$ to minimum $10^{\circ}C$ for two nights and one day) until 36 h postparturition. Results: The effects of temperature changes were observed on the infanticide behaviour of dams along with the survival of pups in early postparturition phase till 36 h after delivery. The significant statistical difference (P < 0.05) was reported in infanticide behaviour of dams when control and treatment group was compared. It is observed that decrement in surrounding temperature promotes decrement in the ambient body temperature of dams during early postparturition. It is proposed that alteration of hypothalamic homeostasis due to temperature change induces cannibalism and infanticide behaviour. Lack of thermoregulation during early postparturition creates the sense of insecurity, in-satiety, anxiety and stress. Conclusions: Authors strongly recommend the maintenance of body and surrounding temperature to prevent infanticidal behaviour and cannibalism within Swiss albino mice population. Further investigations are advisable to authenticate the active behavioural and biochemical pathway behind the phenomena.

RCP 시나리오 기반 WRF를 이용한 CORDEX-동아시아 2단계 지역의 가까운 미래 극한기온 변화 전망 (Near Future Projection of Extreme Temperature over CORDEX-East Asia Phase 2 Region Using the WRF Model Based on RCP Scenarios)

  • This study evaluates the performance of Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model in simulating temperature over the COordinated Regional climate Downscaling EXperiment-East Asia (CORDEX-EA) Phase 2 domain for the reference period (1981~2005), and assesses the changes in temperature and its extremes in the mid-21st century (2026~2050) under global warming based on Representative Concentration Pathway (RCP) scenarios. MPI-ESM-LR forced by two RCP scenarios (RCP2.6 and RCP8.5) is used as initial and lateral boundary conditions. Overall, WRF can capture the observed features of temperature distribution reflecting local topographic characteristic, despite some disagreement between the observed and simulated patterns. Basically, WRF shows a systematic cold bias in daily mean, minimum and maximum temperature over the entire domain. According to the future projections, summer and winter mean temperatures over East Asia will significantly increase in the mid-21st century. The mean temperature rise is expected to be greater in winter than in summer. In accordance with these results, summer (winter) is projected to begin earlier (later) in the future compared to the historical period. Furthermore, a rise in extreme temperatures shows a tendency to be greater in the future. The averages of daily minimum and maximum temperatures above 90 percentiles are likely to be intensified in the high-latitude, while hot days and hot nights tend to be more frequent in the low-latitude in the mid-21st century. Especially, East Asia would be suffered from strong increases in nocturnal temperature under future global warming.

월 평균 기온과 강우 자료를 이용한 일 기온 자료의 생성 (Generation of daily temperature data using monthly mean temperature and precipitation data)

  • 이 연구는 월평균 기상자료를 이용하여 일 최고기온, 일 최저기온을 생성하는 방법을 개발하기 위하여 진행되었다. 전국 23개 기상관서의 과거 30년간의 일기상자료를 분석하여 일 최고기온 및 일 최저기온의 연간 변동 경향을 나타내는 모수(중심값($\hat{U}$), 진폭(C), 편이(T))와 일간 변동을 반영하는 모수(A, B)를 탐색하였다. 그 중 중심값은 지점간의 연 평균자료로부터 도출하였고, 중심값을 제외한 모수들은 전국 평균을 기상생성과정에 적용하였다. 먼저 강우발생 유무에 따라 일 기상자료를 생성한 후 월 자료를 이용하여 보정하고 마지막으로 일 최고기온 및 일 최저기온을 생성하였다. 이 방법으로 전체 23개 지역에 대하여 월별로 생성하였을 때 전체 월별 분포의 95% 이상 관측된 분포와 유사한 일 자료를 생성할 수 있었다. 또 이 방법에 의해 과거 자료와 유사한 생장도일(Growing Degree Day)를 생성할 수 있었고, 조사대상이 아닌 지역에도 충분히 적용할 수 있었다. 이 방법은 기후변화시나리오 등 월 자료가 확보되어 있는 경우에 일기상자료를 생성하는데 유용할 것으로 판단되었다.

  • 종관기상자료만으로 충족시킬 수 없는 농업분야 국지기상정보 수요에 대처하기 위해 지형기후 관계식에 의거한 제주도 전역의 정밀기후 추정 및 표출방법을 개발하였다. 먼저 도전역을 250m 간격의 직교격자로 구획하고 교차점의 해발고도를 지형도상에서 판독하여 사방 1km 지역(단위격자)의 평균해발고도, 평균경사도, 그리고 평균 경사방향 등 지형내자를 계산, 정량화하였다. 18개의 기존 및 신설 기상관측소가 위치한 단위격자의 지형 인자값과 실제 관측된 일최저기온값을 중회귀분석하여 지형일기온 관계식을 도출하고 이로부터 미관측 격자에 대하여 주정치를 계산하였다. 구체적으로 겨울철 일최저기온에 대하여 3개의 전형적인 기압계 유형별로 최적 추정식을 만들어 해안지대에 위치한 제주 및 서귀포 관측자료와 기압계 유형판별만으로 도전역의 일최저온 분포 예측을 가능케 하였다.

국화 '백마'의 겨울철 재배시 야간최저온도가 생장과 개화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Night Minimum Temperature During Winter Season on Growth and Flowerng in Chrysanthemum 'Baekma')

  • '백마'의 겨울철 재배시 야간최저온도가 생장 및 생리장해 발생에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 야간최저 온도를 각각 $14^{\circ}C$, $16^{\circ}C$, $18^{\circ}C$로 처리한 후 온도별 생육 및 개회특성, 생리장해 발생 등을 '신마'와 비교하여 조사하였다. 발뢰소요일수는 모든 처리 온도에서 '백마'가 '신마'보다 2-11일 정도 길었으나, 개회소요일수는 두 품종 모두 54-59일 정도로 품종간에 유의차가 없었고, 야간 최저온도가 높아짐에 띠라 개화소요일수가 짧아지는 경향을 보였다. 절화장 및 절회중은 두 품종 모두 야간최저온도가 높아질수록 감소하였고, 꽃잎수는 '백마'의 경우 $16^{\circ}C$에서 300개 이었으나, $14^{\circ}C$$18^{\circ}C$에서는 각각 210개, 233개로 적어져 온도에 따라 큰 차이가 있었지만, '신마'의 경우에는 온도간 차이가 없었다. 동계 저온에 의한 생리장해 중 로젯트는 '백마'에서만 발생하였으며 $14^{\circ}C$에서 11.1%, $16^{\circ}C$에서 55.6%, $18^{\circ}C$에서 56.1% 발생하였다. 단일처리 후 미발뢰율은 야간최저온도 $14^{\circ}C$에서 '백마' 17.3%, '신마' 4% 이었다.

고온초전도 테이프를 이용한 적층형 전류 도입선의 최적설계 (Optimum Design of Multi-Stacking Current Lead Using HTS Tapes)

  • The optimum cross-sectional area profile of gas-cooled high-temperature superconductor(HTS) current lead is analyzed to have minimum helium boil-off rate. The conventional constant area HTS lead has much higher helium consumption than the optimum HTS lead considered in this study. The optimum HTS lead has variable cross-sectional area to have constant satiety factor. An analytical formula of optimum shape of lead and temperature profile are obtained. For multi-stacking HTS current leads, the optimum tape lengths and minimum heat dissipation rate are also formulated. The developed formulations are applied to the Bi-2223 material, and the differences between constant area, constant safety-factor, and multi-stacking current leads are discussed.

冠岳山의 高度에 따른 진달래와 철쭉꽃의 開花와 開葉時期 (On the Flowering and Leafing Time of Rhododendron mucronulatum and R. schlippenbachii along Elevation at Mt. Kwanak)

  • Phenological development, flowering and leafin times of Rhododendron muronulatum and R. schlippenbachii along elevagtion were studied at Mt. Kwanak, 629m high above the sea level, in Seoul. Flowering and leafing time of the former were delayed at the rate of 2.3~3.3 days and those of the latter were of 2.0~3.0 days per 100m ascent. Phenological changes of both plant species were closely correlated with minimum air temperature first, and then soil water content and minimum soil temperature among the climatic factors. Phenological difference caused by altitude and slope direction(southeast-northwest) among the topographic factors was admitted at the high significance level, but the difference by ridgevalley was little.
