권상/권하 속도가 큰 경우 크레인의 비선형 무진동 제어 (A Nonlinear Model-Based Anti-Swing Control for Overhead Cranes with High Hoisting Speeds)

  • This paper proposes a new approach for the ant-swing control of overhead cranes. The proposed control consists of a model-based anti-swing control scheme and a practical path planning scheme. The anti-swing control scheme is designed based on the Lyapunov stability theorem; the proposed control does not require the usual constraints of small load mass, small load swing, slow hoisting speed, and small hoisting distance, but guarantees asymptotic stability while keeping all internal signals bounded. The path planning scheme is designed based on the concepts of minimum-time control and anti-swing control; the proposed path planning generates near-minimum-time trajectories independently of hoisting speed and distance. The effectiveness of the proposed control is shown by computer simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 역전파 알고리즘(Back-propagation Algorithm)의 문제점인 지역 최소점(Local Minimum point) 빠질 위험을 제거함과 동시에 학습속도(learning-speed)를 빠르게 하기 위해서 모먼팀을 갖는 PID 역전파 알고리듬(PIDBPMT: PID Back-Propagation algorithm with Momentum Term)을 제안하여 모먼텀 항을 갖는 신경망 PID 제어기를 설계하였다. 그 제어기를 D.C 서보 모터를 구동원으로 하는 위치제어계에서 적용하여 시뮬레이션으로 그 성능을 검정하였다.

  • This paper introduces a new technique for estimating the speed of a mobile station in a wireless system. The proposed method is based on the feature extraction of the received signal envelope. The undecimated discrete wavelet transform via lifting captures local minimum points of the received signal, which is used for the speed estimation. This technique requires neither knowledge of the average received power of the nonstationary signal nor adaptation of a temporal observation window, in contrast to other speed estimators given in the literature. Simulations show that the proposed speed estimator tracks the variable speed of the mobile station.

  • If a wind speed decreases during inertial control of a wind turbine generator (WTG), the rotor speed might decrease below the minimum operating limit, which is called over-deceleration (OD). When OD occurs, inertial control should be disabled and then the output power of a WTG significantly decreases. This significant power reduction causes a subsequent frequency drop. This paper proposes the stepwise inertial control to prevent OD when a wind speed decreases during inertial control. To do this, the proposed scheme changes the additional power output based on the rotor speed. The performance of the proposed scheme is investigated using an EMTP-RV simulator. The results show that the proposed inertial control scheme prevent OD even when the wind speed decreases during inertial control.

  • Recently, high productivity and cost reduction becomes the most important target of industries due to the worldwide economic competition. One of these efforts is High Speed Machining(HSM), which reduces machining time with the increase of machining speed such as cutting speed and feedrate. It is very important, especially in case that the portion of machining time in production cost is high. This research suggests optimum cutting conditions to reduce cutting time with minimizing term error. For this study, a comprehensive model representing the texture of machining surface is developed, including rubbing phenomenon on the tip of ball end mill and expanded fibbing zone trajectory caused by tool deflection. Experiments show that the suggested set of feed and pick feed is optimum for maintaining the surface roughness identified by rubbing and low cutting speed in minimum.

  • This paper present a sensor based obstacle avoidance method which is based on a VFH(Vector Field Histogram) method. The basic idea of obstacle avoidance is to find a minimum obstacle direction and distance. From the minimum sonar index and the target direction high level system determine steering angle of mobile robot. The sonar sensor system consists of 12 ultra sonic sensor, and each sensor have its direction and safety value. This method has advantage on calculation speed and small memory. This method is implemented on indoor autonomous vehicle'ALiVE-2'.

  • This paper proposes a loss minimization algorithm for doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) by controlling the stator reactive power. The proposed strategy directly controls the rotor current to achieve the operating point of minimum generator loss and maximum power point tracking. The maximum power is obtained by tracking the q-axis rotor current with generator speed variation and the minimum generator loss is achieved by controlling the d-axis rotor current. Experimental results are shown to verify the validity of the proposed scheme.

DDS를 이용한 광대역 고속 주파수 합성기 (A Wideband High-Speed Frequency Synthesizer Using DDS)

  • 본 논문에서는 6~13 GHz 주파수 범위에서 30 kHz 이하의 주파수 분해능과 500 ns 이하의 동조 속도를 갖는 광대역 고속 주파수 합성기 구조를 제안하였다. 광대역에서 빠른 동조 속도와 우수한 위상잡음 특성, 고해상도 주파수 특성을 얻기 위해 DDS(Direct Digital Synthesizer)와 아날로그 직접 주파수 합성기술을 적용하여 주파수 합성기의 출력을 합성하였다. 그리고 광대역 주파수 합성기의 위상잡음 특성을 중첩의 원리를 이용하여 예측하였고 측정 결과와 비교하였다. 제작된 주파수 합성기의 주파수 동조 속도는 500 ns 이하, 위상잡음은 최고 주파수에서 -106 dBc @ 10 kHz 이하, 주파수 정확도는 ${\pm}2kHz$ 이하로 측정 되었다.

  • To investigate the characteristics of hybrid eggs and larva produced by olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus females and starry flounder Platichthys stellatus males, we examined the developmental speed of hybrid eggs at different water temperatures. The developmental speed of hybrid eggs tended to increase with increasing water temperature. Specifically, the hatching times were 91 hrs, 62 hrs and 43 hrs at $10^{\circ}C$, $15^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$, respectively. The mean biological minimum temperature of the hybrid was $1.3^{\circ}C$, which is in between that of the olive flounder and the starry flounder. In high water temperatureseasons, slower growth was observed in hybrids of the starry flounder which is a coldwater fish.

항공기 비정상 자세, 고도 및 속도 회복을 위한 자동회복장치 설계 및 검증에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design and Validation of Pilot Activated Recovery System to Recover Aircraft Abnormal Attitude, Altitude and Speed)

  • Relaxed Static Stability(RSS) has been applied to improve flight performance of modern version supersonic jet fighters. Flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft and to provide adequate handling qualities. Also, flight control systems of modern aircraft employ many safety measure to cope with emergency situations such as a pilot unknown attitude flight conditions of an aircraft in night flight-testing. This situation is dangerous because the aircraft can lose if the pilot not take recognizance of situation. The system called the "Pilot Activated Recovery System" or PARS, provided a pilot initiated automatic maneuver capable of an aircraft recoveries in situations of unusual attitudes, speed and altitude. This paper addresses the concept of PARS with AARS(Automatic Attitude Recovery System), ATCS(Automatic Thrust Control System) and MARES(Minimum Altitude Recovery Estimation System), and this control law is designed by nonlinear control law design process based on model of supersonic jet trainer. And, this control law is verified by real-time pilot evaluation using an HQS(Handling Quality Simulator). The result of evaluation reveals that the these systems support recovery of an aircraft unusual attitude and speed, and improve a safety of an aircraft.
