This paper describes an implementation method for the 'People Counting System' which detects and tracks moving people using a fixed single camera. This system proposes the method of improving performances by compensating weakness of existing algorithm. For increasing effect of detection, this system uses Single Gaussian Background Modeling which is more robust at noise and has adaptiveness. It minimizes unnecessarily detected area that is a limitation of the detecting method by using the background differences. And this system prevents additional detecting problems by removing shadow. Also, This system solves the problems of segmentation and union of people by using a new method. This method can work appropriately, if the angle of camera would not strictly vertical or the direction of shadow were lopsided. Also, by using integration System, it can solve a number of special cases as many as possible. For example, if the system fails to tracking, it will detect the object again and will make it possible to count moving people.
Background: This study aims to empirically compare and evaluate the current status of medical accessibility and health inequality between people with disabilities and without. We calculated the ACSC hospitalization rate, which is a medical accessibility index, for hypertension, a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease that accounts for more than 20% of deaths among people with disabilities using the 2016 National Health Insurance Big Data. Methods: The subjects of the study were a total of 601,520, including 64,018 people with disabilities and 537,501 people without. Logistic regression was performed to analyze the differences in hypertension hospitalization rates adjusted for demographic and sociological characteristics and disease characteristics using SAS 9.4 program. Results: Before adjusting for the characteristics, the hypertension hospitalization rate of people with disabilities was 1.55%, and the people without disabilities were 0.49%. After adjusting, it was found that people with disabilities were 2.11 times higher than people without disabilities, and it was statistically significant. Conclusion: The preventable hospitalization rate of people with disabilities is higher than that of people without, suggesting that the disabled have problems with access to medical care and health inequality. Therefore, the government's policy improvement is required to close the medical gap for the disabled.
Objective: The present study aimed to investigate the association between myocardial blood flow (MBF) quantified by dynamic CT myocardial perfusion imaging (CT-MPI) and the increments in heart rate (HR) after stress in patients without obstructive coronary artery disease. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively included 204 subjects who underwent both dynamic CT-MPI and coronary CT angiography (CCTA). Patients with more than minimal coronary stenosis (diameter ≥ 25%), history of myocardial infarction/revascularization, cardiomyopathy, and microvascular dysfunction were excluded. Global MBF at stress was measured using hybrid deconvolution and maximum slope model. Furthermore, the HR increments after stress were recorded. Results: The median radiation dose of dynamic CT-MPI plus CCTA was 5.5 (4.5-6.8) mSv. The median global MBF of all subjects was 156.4 (139.8-180.4) mL/100 mL/min. In subjects with HR increment between 10 to 19 beats per minute (bpm), the global MBF was significantly lower than that of subjects with increment between 20 to 29 bpm (153.3 mL/100 mL/min vs. 171.3 mL/100 mL/min, p = 0.027). This difference became insignificant when the HR increment further increased to ≥ 30 bpm. Conclusion: The global MBF value was associated with the extent of increase in HR after stress. Significantly higher global MBF was seen in subjects with HR increment of ≥ 20 bpm.
Aims: To study the effectiveness of human recombinant endostatin injection (Endostar(R)) combined with cisplatin doublets in treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and to evaluate outcome by CT perfusion imaging. Methods: From April 2011 to September 2014, 76 patients with advanced NSCLC who were treated with platinum-based doublets were divided into group A (36 patients) and group B (40 patients). Endostar(R) 15mg/day was administered 4 days before chemotherapy and combined with chemotherapy from day 5 in group A, and combined with chemotherapy from the first day in Group B. Endostar(R) in the two groups was injected intravenously for 14 days. Results: Treatment effectiveness in the two groups differed with statistical significance (p<0.05). Effectiveness evaluated by CT perfusion imaging, BF, BV, MTT and PS also demonstrated significant differences (all p<0.05). Adverse reactions in the two groups did not significantly vary (p> 0.05). Conclusions: The response rate with Endostar(R) administered 4 days before chemotherapy and combined with chemotherapy from day 5 in group A was better than Endostar(R) combined with chemotherapy from the first day, and CT perfusion imaging could be a reasonable method for evaluation of patient outcomes.
Nutrition education is essential for the health of people with disabilities. This paper presents nutrition education topics and operational directions for people with disabilities living in social welfare facilities for people with disabilities. This study was conducted through one-on-one, in-depth interviews with 11 operators and workers at social welfare facilities where people with disabilities reside. They were asked about the current status of nutrition education at the social welfare facility for people with disabilities where the interviewee works, major diseases of residents, topics of nutrition education needed, and preferred education methods to determine the type of nutrition education for people with disabilities needed in the field. As a topic of nutrition education, dietary education for obesity prevention and management was most requested, and education on basic nutritional ingredients was also desired. It was mentioned that the educational level would be appropriate for children aged 6~9, and using materials that would attract interest was recommended. Activity-based face-to-face education was preferred for the operation of the program, and it was mentioned that education would be possible in a short period. In addition, it was mentioned that nutrition education is necessary for people with disabilities and workers at social welfare facilities for people with disabilities. Confirming the topic and operation direction of the nutrition education program required by social welfare facilities for people with disabilities will make it possible to contribute to providing nutrition education tailored to social welfare facilities for people with disabilities in Korea.
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to research the necessity of sacral base X-ray that Barge insisted. Methods : I have done a comparative analysis in side of short leg and side of sacral inferior with sacral base X-ray and pelvis A-P Xray pictures of 42 patients with lower back pain from December 1, 2010 to March 31, 2011. Results : Even though most of the subjects in study were male, 36 people had plateau of sacral base and 29 people had symmetry in sacral base X-ray. There was no statistical significance in the side of short leg and side of sacral base inferior in Sacral base X-ray, but there was a statistical significance in pelvis A-P x-ray. 22 people had same side of short leg and side of sacral base inferior in sacral base X-ray and pelvis A-P X-ray and 14 people didn't. 29 people had same side of sacral base inferior in sacral base X-ray and pelvis A-P X-ray and 13 people didn't. Conclusions : According to the result of the study, sacral base X-ray is necessary for correct sacral base inferior analysis.
Background : The aim of this study is to effect of lumbar stabilization exercise on double limb support, balance ability and risk of fall index in elderly people. Methods : A six-week lumbar stabilization program training for improvement of balance ability and prevention of fall down were applied by dividing into ten people of experimental group and ten people of control group for elderly aged below sixty-five more than eighty years who were capable of independent activity of daily living. for double limb support, balance ability and fall index assessment, the TETRAX were used. Results : The double limb support, balance ability and fall index in experimental group indicating changes in statistical significance(p<0.05), But changes in significance were not found of all parts in control group(p>0.05). Conclusion : The above results mean that the lumbar stabilization exercise was effective for promotion of elderly people's double limb support, balance ability and fall index and further study considered need to be more the study relative to effect of fall prevention exercise program.
Targeting people returning to farming and also people preparing for returning to farming, this study analyzed differences in awareness of conflict factors and conflict management focusing on the conflicts experiencing in the process of their movement and settlement process in rural area. In the results, people preparing for returning to farming showed higher awareness of conflicts and also higher necessity of conflict management than people already returning to farming. Also, both groups preferred individual conflict management to structural conflict management. Based on the results like above, the implications can be summarized like below. First, it would be necessary to have programs informing possible conflicts in advance in the process of returning to farming and also relieving psychological anxiety by providing prior-learning to people preparing for returning to farming. Second, it would be necessary to have individual conflict management measures to establish mutual trust and to form community spirit through regular social gatherings between original residents and people returning to farming. Since the effect of conflict management can be maximized only when the structural and individual conflict managements are properly harmonized, it would be necessary to have the structural conflict management which is relatively felt difficult.
The purpose of this study was to find out the development of old people welfare facilities according to the changes and distribution situation of the Welfare Law for the Aged in Korea under the social conditions of 'aging society', to reveal the location and plane characteristics of old people welfare facilities in the terms of architectural plan, and to suggest basic materials for improving old people welfare facilities in community.
Since face masks in public were mandated during COVID-19, more people have taken temperature checks, with their masks on. The study has developed a contactless thermal camera that accurately measures temperatures of people wearing different kinds of masks, detect people wearing masks wrong, and record the temperature data. The built-in system that identifies people wearing masks wrong is what masks our contactless thermal camera differentiated from other thermal cameras. Also our contactless thermal camera can keep track of the number of mask wearers in different regions and their temperatures. Thus, the analysis of such regional data can significantly contribute to stemming the spread of the virus.
