  • Competitiveness of small and medium companies often rely on the competency of their employees. Many employees however try to move to better environments if possible, which results in high uncertainty in maintaining solid human resources. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influencing factors of turnover intention and organizational loyalty of the early experienced, especially three to five years experienced, employees in the small and medium enterprises. A survey had been conducted using both LMX (Leader Member eXchange) and TMX (Team Member eXchange) as an effort to test the impact of strategic human resource management factors on turnover intension and organizational loyalty. It has been observed that the level of LMX is critical on the turnover intension, while the levels of LMX and TMX are positively related to the organizational loyalty. Especially significant mediation effect affects on the organizational loyalty for TMX via LMX in the serial structure. The human resource management factors become effective under the circumstances where leader and team members exchange activities are activated. These findings can be used in reducing turnover intention and increasing organizational loyalty of early experienced employees by enhancing the leadership training of middle level managers of the small and medium enterprises organizations. Besides, a set of active communication channels should be provided for the young employees so that they can share their work experiences and difficulties within the organization. The key results of this study may help the practitioners set up a management plan to maintain a low turnover rate for their organizations.

  • In order to hold the behavior of fish school to the set-net, a series of tag-recapture experiments were carried out in two fishing grounds of the middle sized set-nets which were located in 20m depth on the coast of Keojedo and Namhaedo in the Southern part of Korea from September to October in 1996. In the experiments, the leading ability of the leader and the fish court and the recapturing ability of the bag nets were checked out for the six species of fish in method of discharging the tagged fishes at side points of leader, and the middle points of the fish court and the bag nets in a hauling step, and recapturing them at the bag nets in the next hauling. The results obtained are as follows; 1. The ratio recaptured at the both side bag-nets in the next hauling after discharged from the fish court in the previous step was 20.3% in small size of mackerel Scomber japonicus, 16.2% in small size of horse mackerel Trachurus japonicus, 10.3% in black sea-bream Acanthopagrus schlegelii, 19.1% in red barracuda Syhyraena pinguis, 16.3% in halfbeak Hemiramphus sajori, 20.0% in gizzard shad Konosirus punctatus individually, and totally in six species of fish, that was 17.2%. 2. The ratio recaptured at the same bag net after discharged in the both side bag-nets was 21.7% in small size of mackerel, 21.5% in small size of horse mackerel, 6.7% in black sea-bream, 17.8% in red barracuda, 16.8 in half-beak, 19.1% in gizzard shad individually, and totally in six species of fish, that was 18.8%. 3. The leading ratio from side points of the leader departed from door in 25m to fish court was 58.9% in small size of mackerel, 74.6% in small size of horse mackerel, 38.0% in black sea-bream, 54.7% in red barracuda, 58.6% in half-beak, 54.5% in gizzard shad individually, and totally in six species of fish, that was 57.8%. So it was assumed that the leader of set-net was very effective in leading to the swimming direction of small size of mackerel, small size of horse mackerel, red barracuda, half-beak and gizzard shad. 4. Red barracuda, half-beak and gizzard shad entered into bag net of upstream in large numbers than bag net of downstream, and small size of horse mackerel and black sea-bream entered into bag net of downstream in large numbers than bag net of upstream. 5. Small size of mackerel and small size of horse mackerel had high remaining rate in the bag net of downstream, and black sea-bream, red barracuda and half-beak had high remaining rate in the bag net of upstream.

  • Doris Lessing describes a band of revolutionaries who become involved in terrorist activities far beyond their level of competence in The Good Terrorist. Alice Mellings who is from a middle-class family has organized a squat house in London and seems capable of controlling everyone around her and anything about the house. She is seemingly like a housekeeper or a breadwinner. She also likes to be on the battlefront, for instance, demonstrating, picketing and spray-painting slogans. Such is able to easily exploit the others and she increasingly becomes the leader in the house. Recently some critics have focused on the political and social roles of the protagonist who represents a voice of terrorists in the 1980s England. Based on this, The Good Terrorist is read with the concept of the subject of feminism that Gillian Rose adopts in order to show that this subject tries to avoid the exclusion of the master subject. This subject imagines spaces which are not structured through masculinist claims to exhaustiveness. Alice as the subject of feminism shows different roles; she extorts or steals money for the maintenance of the house from her affluent parents; she spends all her time cleaning, fixing, decorating the deserted house; and she looks after the official affairs related to the house with her skills and experiences. She is systematically in charge of the house and sits at the head of the table in the kitchen. But when their activities turn into disaster and their plans fail, Alice willingly decides to close down the house after ousting the members. Here in her extorted gaze it is revealed that she takes control over the working class members of the house who are unable to lead a revolution because of their own problems and thereby the working class are dominated by the middle class. That is, the place is paradoxically recreated based on class differences, which the revolutionaries try to break. By representing the deconstruction and recreation of the place through squat houses, Lessing reveals her implicit feminism in which a new place should be produced crossing the principle of the dichotomy of gender and class.

  • After the two big wars (Imjin Woeran and Byungia Horan), the Lee Dynasty confronted rapid transitional periods in almost all aspects of the society. Corruption of the governmental system by the wars and disordered social structures also caused confusion in the social position system. In addition, development of the commercial economic system and monetary economy brought up a new rich middle-class, "Joong in Gyegeup". In ideological aspects, Confucianism indulged in and stick to isms and ics, and the Confucian morality slackened, thus a more pragmatic ideology, "Silhak Sasang", developed. And the emergence of the modern literature and art of the 'common people' was followed by the appearance of the common-people class including those having the common-people concept among the noble-class "Yangban Gyegeup". This evoked a new common costume culture and the fashion appeared. The public could no longer find the power and appeal from the preexisting ruling classes due to the changed role and sense of value. Thus, they sought a new symbolic leader group that would to be the new standard of the newly changed society. That was a group of people called as "Kisaeng" liberal and independent. They were performing social activities, enjoying poetry, music and dancing, and classy dressers, having physically attractive bodies. The erotic as well as luxurious mode proposed by them reflected the trend of that time. It concurred well with the concept and taste of the public, so it was accepted with a good response. That is, by following these leaders, the public achieved their identification and tried to share the prestige of the leaders. For this reason, the Kisaeng group attracted the public attention and led the taste of the public, thereby becoming the influential fashion leaders of that age.

  • The long standing people's culture of Latin America based on social solidarity of the communities makes the political relations between the leader and the people very different from them of the european societies based on the representative democracy. At any rate, the main stream of the Populist Discourses sees the real populist political processes with the pejorative senses attributing the demagogue style of the leaders. In these sense, it is very important to re-consider the populism discourses of Ernesto Laclau who thinks that the populism is a way of interpreting the emergence of the people to establish the social demands in the context of populist real politics. According to Laclau, "the populism seeks for the radical reconfiguration of the revolt of the 'Status Quo' and new order". This work will confirm if this interpretation of Laclau can be applied to Peronist political regime. Meanwhile the first group of the orthodox line of the discourses on populism including Gino Germani shows that the populism is a political movement based on the manipulation and demagogue by the charismatic leader of the irrational mass during the period in transition after the crises of the traditional oligarchy in Latin America. And another line of the main stream of discourses on populism including Cardoso and O'Donnell says that the populism is a political phenomena in a period of transition towards the modernization and the national development by means of the industrialization through the substitution of the imports and the alliance between the classes after the 1930's. But these principal interpretations on populism disregards that in Argentina many urban poor working class people had lived under the racist, unequal painful social relations due to the underestimation and the discrimination by the upper and the middle class with many intellectuals. But Peronism had considered them as the new social subjects with human dignities. And so we have to rethink the clientelism also with another meanings. In this sense, the theories of Ernesto Laclau on populism is very helpful to illuminate the sensitive and ambiguous meanings of Peronism. Especially Peronism makes the urban working class maintain their life styles more tended to them of the traditional communities and go towards the anti-Status Quo. That is a key of success of Peronism not only that time but until these days. And so this study will show that it is the most important thing that Peronist regime had made the emergence of the 'people' in the meaning of advancing the democracy in Argentina.
