A Study on the Stability of Micro-Grid System Considering Operating Range of Micro-Sources (Micro-Source의 운전 범위에 따른 Micro-Grid 시스템 의 안정도에 관한 연구)

  • This paper deals with the micro-grid consisting of micro-sources which adopt voltage sourced inverters with independent real and reactive power control capability for providing premium power quality. This paper presents dynamic modeling and the stable operating range of the micro-grid system varying the parameters of the micro-sources. The fundamental frequency model of the micro-source inverters are considered to form a dynamic model of the micro-grid system. Stability analysis is performed based on the linearized dynamic model of the micro-grid system. Case study results show the parameters affecting the stability of the micro-grid and the stable operating range of the micro-sources.

  • Micro-grid consists of micro-sources which adopt environmentally friendly and reliable power sources such as Fuel-Cell and Micro-Turbines with independent real and reactive power control capability for providing premium power quality. This paper deals with the basic aspect of dynamic modeling and the stability analysis of the micro-grid system.   • This paper describes operational analysis results of the DC micro-grid using detailed model of distributed generation. Detailed model of wind power generation, photo-voltaic generation, fuel-cell generation was implemented with the user-defined model of PSCAD/EMTDC software that is coded with C-language. The operation analysis was carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC software, in which the power circuit is implemented by built-in model and the controller is modelled by user-defined model that is also coded with C-language. Various simulation results confirm that the DC micro-grid can operate without any problem in both the interconnected mode and the islanded mode. The operation analysis result confirms that the DC micro-grid make it feasible to provide power to the load stably. And it can be utilize to develop the actual system design and building.

  • Recent manufacturing system requires development on new production technology to enable prompt manufacturing of diverse products. Most of the researchers have been working on micro-factory. Especially, focus on manufacturing of micro parts. Present manufacturing system consumes excessive resources in the form of energy and space to manufacture the micro parts. In this study, the micro lens module assembly system was modeled, analyzed with MST(Micro System Technology) Application Module and simulated through UML Language (Unified Modeling Language) with object-oriented logical model analysis method. Digital model of micro-factory was modeled, to execute the new paradigm of digitalization on products, resources and processes of micro-factory.

  • Micro-source units having power ratings in thousands of watts can provide power quality with higher reliability and efficiency than the conventional large scale units. This paper develops switching level model of micro-source and studies the characteristics of the micro-grid consisting of multiple micro-sources and interfaced with electric power system. The developed model adopts the space vector PWM to fully utilize the capacity of inverter. The interaction of the grid connected micro-sources and the characteristics of the control system parameters are investigated. Micro-sources and micro-grid are implemented using PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that the proposed model is efficient for studying micro-grid system.

  • Aim of this work is investigating effect of thickness-stretching formulation on the quasi three-dimensional analysis of micro plate based on a thickness-stretched and shear deformable model through principle of virtual work and micro-scale dependent constitutive relations. Governing differential equations are derived in terms of five unknown functions and the analytical solution is derived using Navier's technique. To explore effect of thickness stretching model on the static results, a comparison between the results with and without thickness stretching effect is presented.

  • Assembly is mentioned as important process saving time and cost where we produce the machine with many parts relationships. In this study, parts assembly relationship is analysed for assembly information of micro milling machine which have been developing for research. Liaison diagram, datum flow chain and assembly tree are applied to discuss assembly characteristics of micro milling machine model. We can find out the characteristics of micro machine assembly and discuss about facility of assembly. Some analysis in this paper about micro milling machine will give a useful tools for assembly. We knew that the predicted results from analysis in this study are alignment and clearance among the parts. The 3D model of micro machine which is studied in this paper is not a complete model. Main parts of a micro milling machine are used and presented.

Elasto-Plasticity of Granular Micro-Structures (미소구조에서의 탄소성모델)

  • This study deals with elasto-plasticity of granular micro-structures which recovers continuum elasto-plasticity in its counterpart. The theory is based on doublet mechanics that assumes particles of finite size and connecting linear springs, and it makes extensions to plasticity. The result shows that the micro model has one to one relationship with the continuum model in the simplest case. Micro-strain and micro-stress of two dimensional plane stress problem were calculated, which shows the behavior of the specimen and verifies the effectiveness of this model.

  • Recently, new concept of energy systems such as microgrid, smart grid, supergrid, and energy network has been introducing. In this paper, the concept of the centralized micro-energy network, which is an energy community of a building group without district heating system, is introduced. In addition, a mathematical model for optimal operation of the micro-energy network as a main function of an energy management system (EMS) for the micro-energy network is proposed. In order to show the validation, the proposed model is tested through the simulation and analyzed.
