교류형 PDP의 온도에 따른 방전특성 (Temperature-dependent Characteristics of Discharge in AC-PDP)

  • In AC-PDP, it is necessary to achieve high luminance efficacy, high luminance and high resolution by adopting technologies such as high Xenon concentration, MgO doping, and long gap. However, it is very difficult to apply above technologies because they reduce driving voltage margin. For example, doping of MgO reduces driving voltage but introduces new problems such as increased temperature dependency of discharge, which result in larger variations in driving margin at different temperatures. In this paper, we present the experimental results of the characteristics of temperature-dependent discharges. In addition, we suggest the mechanism of bright noise, black noise, and high temperature mis-discharge, which depend on temperature-dependent characteristics of MgO.

  • Effects of aging treatment of doped-MgO electron emission layer on luminance efficiency of ac-PDP were investigated in this study. Morphological and luminance efficiency with aging treatment were examined, especially with emphasis on the effects of doping elements. The results indicate that the luminance efficiency of test panels depends on the type of doping elements used for MgO and that may be due to the redeposition of MgO during glow discharge.

  • The present study was conducted to examine the effect of recombinant bovine somatotropin(${\gamma}$ bST), which was administered to cow to promote milk production, on bST levels in milk. Fourteen cows were divided into two groups: 1) control cows received neither y bST nor vehicle, 2) treated cows were administered twice at two-week interval with 500mg ${\gamma}$ bST each cow by subcutaneous injection. Milk samples were taken on day 0 (prior to injection), day 7 (7 days after 1st injection), day 21 (7 days after 2nd injection) and day 35 (21 days after 2nd injection).

  • $(Ba_{0.6-x}Sr_{0.4}Ca_x)TiO_3$ + ywt% MgO (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20, y=0.0~3.0) ceramics were fabricated by the conventional solid-state reaction, and their structural and dielectric properties were investigated with variation of composition ratio and MgO doping content. A second phase, representative of MgO, appears in 3wt% MgO-doped BSCT specimens. Average grain sizes decreased with increasing amounts of MgO, and the BSCT(40/40/20) specimens doped with 3wt% MgO showed a value of $9.3{\mu}m$. The Curie temperature and relative dielectric constant at room temperature were decreased with increasing MgO doping content and Ca composition ratio. The relative dielectric constant was non-linearly decreased as the field strength is increased. The tunability was increased with decreasing a Ca content and the BSCT(50/40/10) specimen doped with 1.0wt% MgO content showed the highest value of 6.4% at 5kV/cm.

CO Gas-Sensor Based on Pt-Functionalized Mg-Doped ZnO Nanowires

  • Mg-doped ZnO one-dimensional (1D) nanostrutures were synthesized by using a thermal evaporation technique. The morphology, crystal structure, and sensing properties of the Mg-doped ZnO nanostructures functionalized with Pt to CO gas at $100^{\circ}C$ were examined. The diameters of the 1D nanostructures ranged from 80 to 120 nm and that the lengths were up to a few tens of micrometers. The gas sensors fabricated from multiple networked Mg-doped ZnO nanowires functionalized with Pt showed enhanced electrical response to CO gas. The responses of the nanowires were improved by approximately 70, 69, 111, and 81 times at CO concentrations of 10, 25, 50, and 100 ppm, respectively. Both the response and recovery times of the nanowire sensor for CO gas sensing were not nearly changed by Pt functionalization. It also appeared that the Mg doping concentration did not influence the sensing properties of ZnO nanowires as strongly as Pt-functionalization. In addition, the mechanism for the enhancement in the CO gas sensing properties of Mg-doped ZnO nanowires by Pt functionalization is discussed.

  • AC-PDP의 유전체 보호막 물질로 사용 종인 다결정 MgO의 전기적 특성을 개선하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 MgO에 doping 물질과 첨가량에 따른 전기적 특성을 고찰하였다. 박막을 증착시키기 위해 MgO pellet target을 만드는데 이때 pellet의 밀도, XRD, 비커스경도, 파괴인성, 표면 grain size와 이차전자방출계수와의 관계 및 박막의 표면거칠기, 표면의 형태, 투과율과 이차전자방출계수와의 관계를 고찰하였다. 이에 여러 dopant를 첨가하여 특성 평가한 실험데이터를 정리하여 이차전자방출계수와의 연계성을 조사 하였다.

Al 첨가가 $MgB_2$ 단결정의 비등방성에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (Effect of Al Doping on the Anisotropy of $MgB_2$ Single Crystals)

  • We have studied superconducting properties of $Mg_{1-x}Al_xB_2$ single crystals from reversible magnetization measurements. It was found that the upper critical fields $H_{c2}$ were decreased for both H // c and H // ab as Al is substituted for Mg. As a result, the large anisotropy of $H_{c2}$ observed in pure $MgB_2$, which is considered as one of the characteristics of two-gap superconductor, was decreased with Al doping. On the other hand, the irreversibility fields $H_{irr}$ were increased for x = 0.1 and were significantly decreased for x = 0.2. In contrary to the anisotropy of $H_{c2}$, the anisotropy of $H_{irr}$ was increased as Al concentration increases.

  • 백금착물 항암제 후보물질로서 합성된 KBP31705-Cl27, KBP30603-901을 기존 화합물인 cisplatin 및 carboplatin과 pharmacokinetic profile을 비교 검토하였다. 웅성 Sprague-Dawley rat을 sodium pentobarbital 마취하에서 방광 및 대퇴동맥과 정맥에 polyethylene tubing을 사용하여 catheterization시켰다. Urine 배출이 안정화되었을 때 대퇴정맥내로 cisplatin과 KBP31705-Cl27은 2 mg/kg, carboplatin과 KBP 30603-901은 20mg/kg 용량으로 주사한 후 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 120 분에 대퇴동맥으로부터 혈액을 채취하였으며 urine은 약물투여 후 1시간 간격으로 4시간동안 채취하였다. Plasma와 urine중의 platinum농도는 inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer를 사용하여 측정하였고, pharmacokinetic parameters는 non-linear least square computer Program인 PCNONLIN을 이용하여 산출되었다. 혈중 platinum농도와 시간의 관계에서 KBP31705-Cl27은 cisplatin과 비교하여 alpha-phase에서 혈중 농도는 낮지만 비슷한 양상을 나타내었고, beta-phase에서는 비교적 느리게 소실됨을 보였다. Urine으로 4시간동안 배출된 platinum양은 각각 투여량의 52, 56%로서 두 약물에서 비슷하였다. 또한 KBP30603-901은 carboplatin과 비교하여 alpha-phase는 거의 비슷한 패턴을 나타내었으나, beta-phase는 훨씬 느리게 감소하여 반감기가 길다는 것을 보여 주었으며 또한 이것은 urine으로 4시간동안 배출된 platinum양이 KBP30603-901의 경우 투여량의 46%로서 carboplatin의 59%보다 적게 배출된다는 data와도 일관됨을 보여주었다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 KBP30603-901이 다른 백금착물 항암제보다 체내에 머무르는 시간이 길어 혈중에서 보다 오랜 시간동안 머물러 높은 유효농도를 유지할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Evaluation of the Genetic Toxicity of Synthetic Chemicals (II), a Pyrethroid Insecticide, Fenpropathrin

  • The detection of many synthetic chemicals used in industry that may pose a genetic hazard in our environment is subject of great concern at present. In this respect, the genetic toxicity of fenpropathrin ((RS)-.alpha.-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl-2,2,3,3-tetramethyl cyclopropane carboxylate, CAS No.:39514-41-8), a pyrethroid insecticide, was evaluated in bacterial gene mutation system, chromosome aberration in mammalian cell system and in vivo micronucleus assay with rodents. In bacterial gene mutation assay, no mutagenicity of fenpropathrin (62-$5000\mug/plate$) was observed in Salmonella typhimurium TA 98, 100, 1535 and 1537 both in the absence and in the presence of S-9 metabolic activaton system. In mammalian cell system using chinese hamster lung fibroblast, no clastogenicity of fenpropathrin was also observed both in the absence and in the presence of metabolic activation system in the concentration range of $7-28\mug/ml$. And also, in vivo micronucleus assay using mouse bone marrow cells, fenpropathrin also revealed no mutagenic potential in the dose range of 27-105 mg/kg body weight of fenpropathrin (i.p.). Consequently, no mutagenic potential of fenpropathrin was observed in vitro bacterial, mammalian mutagenicity systems and in vivo micronucleus assay in the dose ranges used in this experiment.

  • Ferroelectric Mg-doped SBT and Ti-doped SBT were successfully deposited on Pt/Ti/$SiO_2/Si$ substrate by using a sol-gel solution coating method. The solutions were prepared through out adding the metal alkoxide solutions to SBT solution. The typical hysteresis loop of the films was obtained at 5V. The measured $2P_r$ value were $16.50{\mu}C/cm^2$ for SBT, $18.98{\mu}C/cm^2$ and for Mg-doped SBT, and $17.10{\mu}C/cm^2$ for Ti-doped SBT at an applied voltage of 5V, respectively. And it is found that the leakage current densities are less than $10^{-7}A/cm^2$ when applied voltage is less than 10.8MV/cm, which indicates the excellent insulating characteristics.
