  • This paper analyzes the impact of digitalization on networks in Seoul Metropolitan Area by considering facility investment together with operatinng costs. A stepwise evolution method toward a digitalized double-homming architecture is proposed to accommodate most efficiently with existing analog-oriented networks.

Features of the Discussion Method in the Training of Students in the Context of Distance Learning

  • The article considers online discussion as an interactive learning method in the conditions of distance learning. The essence of discussion and the stages of its organization are described. The main objective of discussion in distance learning is defined as the stimulation of interest in learning and the involvement of various viewpoints in an active discussion of the stated problems. The key role in ensuring the efficiency of a discussion is identified. The article develops a model for organizing asynchronous online discussions on the Moodle platform, highlighting the sequence of stages and their content. An experimental study of the use of the discussion method in the training of students in distance learning conditions is carried out. Based on the results of the methodological experiment, conclusions are drawn about student interest in online discussions. The authors conclude that the interest of students of different specialties in asynchronous online discussions varies, and the greatest interest is demonstrated by linguistics students. Nevertheless, the differences in student interest in online discussions by groups (specialties) are more likely attributable to subjective factors, which do not affect the overall picture in a major way.

광역 교통권 설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Establishment of the Metropolitan Transportation Area)

  • The research deals with the establishment of transportation areas in the metropolitan cities. The purpose is three-fold ; 1) to review the existing literature : 2) to analyze the commuting (work and school) pattern and interregional movement pattern of passengers and freights ; 3) to establish the metropolitan transportation area based on the above analyses. The transportation area is defined by the analysis of trip pattern to the center city of each metropolitan area. The detailed indices for establishment are selected by the rank-size and time-distance analyses. For the operational purpose, the study defines 3 different transportation areas as follows : the first transportation area means the directly effecting region of the center city ; the second means the region with many reverse trips and development potentials ; and the third means the indirectly effecting region. It can be concluded that the first transportation area includes 10 cities and 5 counties in Seoul metropol tan region, Yangdsan-Gun, Kimhae-Gun and Kimhae-Si in Busan, Dalsung-Gun, Chilgok-Gun and Kyungsan-Gun in Daegu, Hwasung-Gun and Raju-Gun in Kwangju, and Daeduk-Gun in Daejun. These results could be expected to have many implications for the establishment of area-wide public transportation network, the metropolitan transportation decision-making bodies and others.

  • 서울 수도권 지하철 승객이 인터넷으로 구매한 채소 등의 신선 식품을 퇴근하는 도중에 이동 경로상의 지하철역 구내의 서비스 시설물에서 배달 받는다고 가정하면, 제기되는 문제는 어떤 지하철역에 서비스 시설물을 설치하면 얼마나 많은 승객들이 이용하는 가를 파악하는 것이다. 이러한 문제는 픽업 문제로 알려져 있고, 픽업 문제를 풀려면 교통 흐름을 설명하는 교통 네트워크가 있어야 되고 각 교통 흐름의 이동 경로도 알 수 있어야 된다. 서울 수도권 교통카드 시스템의 교통카드 트랜잭션 데이터베이스로부터 지하철 승객의 출발역에서 도착역까지 움직이는 이동 경로인 승객 흐름을 구할 수 있으므로, 서울 수도권 지하철 교통 시스템에서 픽업 문제는 승객 흐름을 최대한 많이 포착하는 서비스 시설물들을 설치할 지하철역들을 선정하는 것이다. 본 논문에서 서울 수도권 지하철 시스템과 지하철 승객들의 흐름을 픽업 문제의 모델에 맞추어 수식화하였고, 이를 기반으로 하여 지하철 승객들의 흐름을 기종점 통행 행렬을 만들어 단계별로 가장 많은 통과 승객수를 갖는 픽업 역을 계산해내는 빠른 휴리스틱 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 대용량 교통 네트워크와 교통 흐름에 해당되는 약 400여 개의 지하철역을 가진 서울 수도권 지하철 네트워크와 약 500만 명의 지하철 교통카드 트랜잭션들을 입력으로 하여 제안된 알고리즘으로 선정된 픽업 역들을 빠른 시간 내에 얻었고, 그 중에서 상위 10개 픽업 역들을 지하철 안내 지도에 표시하여 설명하였다. 그리고, 그 결과가 거의 최적해와 같음을 추가 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

서울 수도권 지하철망의 호선별 망 매개 중심성과 승객 흐름 분석 (Network Betweenness Centrality and Passenger Flow Analysis of Seoul Metropolitan Subway Lines)

  • Using network betweenness centrality we attempt to analyze the characteristics of Seoul metropolitan subway lines. Betweenness centrality highlights the importance of a node as a transfer point between any pairs of nodes. This 'transfer' characteristic is obviously of paramount importance in transit systems. For betweenness centrality, both traditional betweenness centrality measure and weighted betweenness centrality measure which uses monthly passenger flow amount between two stations are used. By comparing traditional and weighted betweenness centrality measures of lines characteristics of passenger flow can be identified. We also investigated factors which affect betweenness centrality. It is the number of passenger who get on or get off that significantly affects betweenness centrality measures. Through correlation analysis of the number of passenger and betweenness centrality, it is found out that Seoul metropolitan subway system is well designed in terms of regional distribution of population. Four measures are proposed which represent the passenger flow characteristics. It is shown they do not follow Power-law distribution, which means passenger flow is relatively evenly distributed among stations. It has been shown that the passenger flow characteristics of subway networks in other foreign cities such as Beijing, Boston and San Franciso do follow power-law distribution, that is, pretty much biased passenger flow traffic characteristics. In this study we have also tried to answer why passenger traffic flow of Seoul metropolitan subway network is more homogeneous compared to that of Beijing.

DNN을 활용한 부산지역 초미세먼지 예보방안 (A Study on the PM2.5 forcasting Method in Busan Using Deep Neural Network )

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the daily prediction results of PM2.5 from the air quality diagnosis and evaluation system operated by the Busan Institute of Health and Environment in real time. The air quality diagnosis and evaluation system is based on the photochemical numerical model, CMAQ (Community multiscale air quality modeling system), and includes a 3-day forecast at the end of the model's calculation. The photochemical numerical model basically has limitations because of the uncertainty of input data and simplification of physical and chemical processes. To overcome these limitations, this study applied DNN (Deep Neural Network), a deep learning technique, to the results of the numerical model. As a result of applying DNN, the r of the model was significantly improved. The r value for GFS (Global forecast system) and UM (Unified model) increased from 0.77 to 0.87 and 0.70 to 0.83, respectively. The RMSE (Root mean square error), which indicates the model's error rate, was also significantly improved (GFS: 5.01 to 6.52 ug/m3 , UM: 5.76 to 7.44 ug/m3 ). The prediction results for each concentration grade performed in the field also improved significantly (GFS: 74.4 to 80.1%, UM: 70.0 to 77.9%). In particular, it was confirmed that the improvement effect at the high concentration grade was excellent.

도시열섬현상 저감을 위한 그린네트워크 구축 방안에 관한 연구 - 대구광역시 달서구를 대상으로 - (A Study on Green Net-Work Construction for Urban Heat Island Mitigation in Dalseo District, Daegu Metropolitan City)

  • As urbanization has been expanded in Korea, open spaces, such as urban parks and public sites, have been utilized for other uses, and then this bring out environmental changes for the worse. It is expected that these changes become more serious problems due to overpopulation, increasing individualism, and development of transportation. This research base on the consideration of connecting between decreasing urban green spaces and distributed green sites so as to build the substantial plan for the Green Network construction for urban heat island mitigation in Dalseo district, Daegu Metropolitan City. The result were as follow; 1) Connecting existing natural sites to the remained parks green zone made an Ideal form of Green-Network system. 2) Some school sites were selected for usable open spaces in order to build Green-Network system, and the plan connecting together with exist natural sites was suggested. 3) Moreover, the scheme of planting on the road spaces for connecting green spaces was proposed. 4) The devices of planting on the urban riverside for enhancing the role of urban stream to form green network was conceived.

  • In this study, a simulation model is developed to analyze the effects of routing and scale-economy of transmission facilities on the traffic network topology and investment cost changes in a metropolitan telephone network. Computational experiments showed that the wide deployment of bifurcated routing in a dual-homing configuration reduces significantly the traffic network connectivity and the investment cost. Its enhanced version, when combined with the subscriber network cost model, can be used as a prototype cost proxy model for figuring out the access charges in a multi-operator environment.

  • The digital private line network provides synchronous data communications over dedicated facilities at several speeds. This service became available to several major metropolitan areas in 1986 with speeds of 4800, 9600, 56000 b/s. The network is expected to grow to include many city areas. In this paper, synchronization plan for the network is proposed.

자율주행형 다관절 차량용 이더넷 TCN의 최적 토폴로지에 대한 실험적 검증 (Experimental Verification of the Optimized TCN-Ethernet Topology in Autonomous Multi-articulated Vehicles)

  • 본 논문에서는 자율주행형 다관절 차량용 제어 시스템 구축 시 장치 간 네트워크로 이더넷 기반의 Train Communication Network(TCN)를 적용할 경우 적합한 네트워크 토폴로지를 제안하고 실험을 통하여 그 결과를 측정하여 검증한다. 케이블 수, 포트 수 등 구조적인 제한조건과 네트워크 응답시간, 최대 전송량 등 성능적인 제한조건을 고려하여 네트워크 토폴로지를 제안한다. 스타 토폴로지, 데이지체인 토폴로지, 그리고 이들을 절충한 하이브리드 토폴로지를 각각 적용하여 비교하며 본 논문에서는 특히 하이브리드 토폴로지의 적절한 구성을 위해 그룹으로 묶이는 노드 수를 구한다. 적절하게 노드의 그룹이 구성된 하이브리드 토폴로지는 본 논문에서 최적 토폴로지로 제안하는 구조이다. 먼저 시뮬레이션을 통해 각각의 토폴로지 구성 시의 네트워크 성능에 대한 예상치를 도출하며 이 후 실제 장치를 연결하여 네트워크를 구현한다. 다양한 네트워크 성능 측정 프로그램을 이용하여 각 토폴로지에서의 성능을 측정하고 비교를 통해 제안한 방안의 우수성을 기술한다.
