We suppose that Poback-cheok appeared with wearing clothes in the ancient times. At first, man used body as a scale, and it is gradually diversified with social development. It is clear that also in the time of Shilla-Dynasty, the United Shilla-Dynasty and the Goryeo-Dynasty, the system of degree existed in historical relation to that of China. But we don't know it's real length, because there is no recording until the beginning of the Yi-Dynasty. The first recording about Poback-cheok appeared in the time of the King Sejong. Hwangjong-Cheok which is a original vessel of the degree system appears in the 7th years of the King Sejong. In the 12th years of the King Sejong, Ju-cheok, Youngjo-cheok and Joyegi-cheok appeared. In the 13th years of the King Sejong, Poback-cheok appeared as a new changed one. At that time, the length of Poback-cheok is recorded as 44.75cm in chapter of Oye and Jonsoo Pobaek-cheok is recorded as 46.73cm in Jeonjesangjeongso's picture, and it is recorded as 46.80cm in the Kyunggugdaijeon. The scale system is put in good order in the time of King Sejong. But it is confused by the war of 1636 after King Seonjo period. In the 26 th year of King Youngjo, it is reappeared as one of the King Sejong, and it is fixed as 46.80cm. The length is used until the proclamation in the 6th years of the Kwangmu(1902), and then the length of Pobaek-cheok is changed as 48.48 cm, that is measured by a Gok-cheok. After that time, the scale system is very confused during the introduction of new civilization and the Korean-Japanes Unit. So it is used longer or shorter(that is, 49.24cm or 48.91cm). And the metric system is introduced by Japanes in 1926, and it reached the present time. According to use, the actual thing with is used in the end of the Yi-Dynasty is various from 30cm to 70cm. And according to material and craft-man, it can be devided into Hwa-gag scale, Najeon-blacklacquer-scale, bamboo-scale, wooden-scale. The way of expression of measure is always followed by the decimal system. The other half part, except the part of expression of graduation, is put on decorate with a pattern. Also we can see the idea of living on this point.
Medieval European practical art and style of costume is studied through referring to the literatures. The type of clothing that was seen on tapestries arts and crafts paintings and wall paintings and appeared in the architecture such as church. There were symbolic aspects of color motifs at this period and some restraints for clothing according to the social class, It was a period that draped garments due to the War of Crusades is appeared. Be-cause the medieval taste and decorative character is not only 'formative art' but also the taste beyoud 'mode' and atomsphere of that times it could be seen the strong reflec-tion of customs in the clothing of that times which is shown in works of art. 1) The purpose of Christian art which was found in mosaics stained glasses wall pain-tings and statues of architecture was not just the revival of natural phenomena but visuali-zation of sacred and invisible things. It was valuable to understandin of the spiritual through the sense organ It was a monumental art that was combined with decorative func-tion and role of the Bible. It revealed what was about the religious spiritual miracle, 2) In the medieval European painting characteristic and beautiful creativity was the basis of an argument. Both "Worship of East-ern" that is painted ion a parchment and "Cor-onation of Charles VI" were described decor-ation motifs on the edge of buildings geo-metric patterns and others with outstanding skill. there were precise technologic skill of architect and glassmen and lots of patience of craftsmen. " The Labour of the Months" and the scene of"A Trial at the Court" is also de-scribed elaborately. 3) Tapestry was developed in France Ger-many Swiss at the 14th century. Religionary and historical themes unicorn lady bird flowering plants and others were major motifs. It was very important as decorative wall coverings and as practical door arch and bed hangings. It was made through patient hard work with simple technique and it was con-sidered as an art for practical use. Tapestry was what everyone wish to have. It is reckoned for the item of the best gift. The royalty and nobility ordered and used custom-made tapestries. Sometimes the subject of motifs consisted of series which were deeply related to living 4) Decorative arts and crafts was the art that used materials such as precious metals jewels and others and that accorded with the luxurious and gorgeous taste of the royalty and nobility. Christian considered splendid and beautiful color of light as a symbol of glory. They used also for church appliances, There were metal crafts wood crafts textile crafts and others, As was stated above the costume appeared on the arts and crafts for living revealed the process of changes saw how the politic econ-omic and social organizations were developed.and social organizations were developed.

The roles of paddy fields are re-evaluated as an artificial wetland. Although 44% of total aquatic invertebrates in South Korea are observed in a rice paddy, information of their distribution and characteristics of habitat use is limited yet. This study was carried out to provide information and characterizing distribution of community of aquatic invertebrates using a rice paddy through the South Korea. Aquatic invertebrates were collected at 284 sites of a rice paddy in South Korea from June to August, 2005, 2006 and 2007. We grouped sampling sites according to its species and population of aquatic invertebrates using a non-metric multidimensional scaling (NMDS). Total 21 orders 60 families 114 species were collected from a rice paddy. Coleoptera (25%), Heteroptera (17%), Diptera (17%) and Odonata (12%) were observed. Aquatic invertebrates were classified into three groups (Group 1: Gangwon, Gyeonggi and Chungbuk; Group 2: Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam and Jeju; Group 3: Gyeongbuk and Kyeongnam). In Group 1, Muljarus japonicas distributed mainly Gangwondo and Chungbuk. In Group 2, Sigara nigroventralis and S. substriata were mainly observed. In Group 3, higher density of Daphnia sp. and Chironomidae gen. spp. was found in the southern part of Korea.
In order to evaluate the residual effects of bituminous coal fly ash, gypsum, oyster shell as soil amendments, Chinese cabbage was cultivated on acidic sandy loam soils with low boron content. The soils were amended in the upper 15cm with amendments in previous year and the growth and qualities of plants were analyzed. Amendments treated one year before were, in metric tons per hectare, i) none(Check) ; ii) 80 fly ash(FA) ; iii) 4 shell(SH) ; iv) 56 fly ash + 24 gypsum (FG) ; v) 40 fly ash + 24 gypsum + 0.8 shell(FGS). Yield response in fresh weight of Chinese cabbage was in order of 834% for FGS > 780% for FG > 755% FA > 193% for SH plants. Reducing sugar, vitamin-C, and total nitrogen contents of leaves depending on treatments showed the same tendencies as that in yields, whereas crude fibre opposite to them. In particular, FA, FG, and FGS plants showed normal growth without both boron deficiency symptoms which appeared in Check and SH plants and possibilities of accumulation of heavy metals. In any soils treated with the above amendments, however, magnesium was insufficient.

The north-west sea area of Cheju Island is where originate two layer current in the summer season. The case of the fishing operations in this sea area is almost impossible for normal expansion of the net gear for shooting net, and is happened to be frequent occasions for rise of tension suddenly in purseline by changes of the net shapes in the operation. Therefore, the safety of the operations is often obstructed by the above mentioned. In connection with the above, model experiments on the purse seine in the circulating water tank was carried out in comparison and analysis on the changes of tension in the pruseline by deformation of purse seine in the sea area of two layer current. THe results obtained are as follows; In the case of the required time for pursing of 20 minutes in the no current set, the increasing curve for tension of purseline can be expressed as:Y=0.0004x3+0.0098x2+0.3000x(r=0.9989)where Y is tension(metric tons) of a purseline, x is required time(minutes) for pursing. And, the maximum value of tension in this time was an increase of 31.3 percent at 15 minutes, and was a decrease of 30.3 percent at 30 minutes than that of 20 minutes. When the bottom margin of net is held on the position in velocity of 0.5 knot at three-eighths of net in the bottom current to the net height, the maximum tension of the required time for pursing of 30 minutes in tight set and loose set were decrease of 29.5 percent and 28.7 percent respectively than that of 20 minutes. The work load during the required time for pursing of 20 minutes were calculated 5.79×106 kgf·m in no current set, 7.89×106 kgf·m in tight set and 5.15×106 kgf·m in loose set, therefore it was an increase of 22.3 percent in tight set, and was a decrease of 11.1 percent in loose set than that of the no current set. Where tight set and loose set is a range of the bottom current with velocity of 0.5 knot at three-eighths of net to the net height.
We investigated the effects of feeding rate on the growth performance, blood components, and histology of growing olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. Optimum feeding rate (initial fish mean weight : $316.7{\pm}6.18g$) was determined under the optimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed a commercial diet at rates of 0%, 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8% of body weight (BW) per day, and to satiation. Feeding trial was conducted using a flow-through system with 10 1.2-metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at $21-24^{\circ}C$ for 3 weeks. Weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) were significantly higher in fish fed to satiation (1.0% BW/day) than in those in other treatments. These parameters were negative and significantly lower in the starved fish than in fish fed the experimental diet at all feeding rates. There were no significant differences in WG and SGR among fish fed at 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8% BW/day. Hematocrit and hemoglobin in fish fed to satiation were significantly lower than those in other treatments. Histological changes of fish fed at 0.6% BW/day indicated that this group was in the best condition; differences were not found in tissues of fish fed at 0%, 0.6% and 1.0% BW/day. Broken-line regression analysis of weight gain showed that the optimum feeding rate of olive flounder weighing 317 g was 0.99% BW per day at the optimum water temperature.
The problems to compute the distances or similarities of multiple strings have been vigorously studied in such diverse fields as pattern matching, web searching, bioinformatics, computer security, etc. One well-known method to compare multiple strings in the given set is finding a consensus string which is a representative of the given set. There are two objective functions that are frequently used to find a consensus string, one is the radius and the other is the consensus error. The radius of a string x with respect to a set S of strings is the smallest number r such that the distance between the string x and each string in S is at most r. A consensus string based on radius is a string that minimizes the radius with respect to a given set. The consensus error of a string with respect to a given set S is the sum of the distances between x and all the strings in S. A consensus string of S based on consensus error is a string that minimizes the consensus error with respect to S. In this paper, we show that the problem of finding a consensus string based on radius is NP-complete when the distance function is a metric.
Mobile Internet Device (MID) allows users to flexibly use various forms of wireless internet such as Wi-Fi, GSM, CDMA, and 3G. Using such Internet, MID users can utilize application services. MID usage is expected to grow due to the benefits of portability, Internet accessibility, and other convenience. However, it has resource constraints such as limited CPU power, small memory size, limited battery life, and small screen size. Consequently, MIDs are not capable to hold large-sized complex applications and to process a large amount of data in memory. An effective solution to remedy these limitations is to develop cloud services for the required application functionality, to deploy them on the server side, and to let MID users access the services through internet. A major concern on running cloud services for MIDs is the potential problems with low Quality of Service (QoS) due to the characteristics of MIDs. Even measuring the QoS of such services is more technically challenging than conventional quality measurements. In this paper, we first identify the characteristics of MIDs and cloud services for MIDs. Based on these observations, we derive a number of quality attributes and their metrics for measuring QoS of mobile services. A case study of applying the proposed quality model is presented to show its effectiveness and applicability.

We investigated the effects of feeding rate on the growth, blood components, and histology of sub-adult olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. Optimum feeding rate (initial fish mean weight : $384.2{\pm}5.91g$) was determined under the optimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed a commercial diet at rates of 0%, 0.3%, 0.5%, and 0.7% body weight (BW) per day, and to satiation. The feeding trial was conducted using a flow-through system with ten 1.2-metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at $20-24.5^{\circ}C$ for 3 weeks. After the feeding trial, the weight gain (WG) and specific growth rate (SGR) were significantly higher in fish fed at 0.7% BW/day and those fed to satiation (0.9% BW/day) than in fish fed at other feeding rates or in the unfed fish. These parameters were negative and significantly lower in the unfed fish than in those fed the experimental diet at all feeding rates. There were no significant differences in WG and SGR among fish fed at 0.3 and 0.5% BW/day and among those fed at 0.7% BW/day and to satiation. The histological changes in the hepatopancreas, kidney, and anterior intestine of fish fed at 0, 0.5, and 0.9 % BW/day did not differ much. Broken-line regression analysis of weight gain showed that the optimum feeding rate of olive flounder weighing 384 g was 0.74% BW per day at the optimum water temperatures.
We investigated the effects of feeding rate on the growth performance, blood components, and histology of growing olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus. We determined the optimum feeding rate (initial fish mean weight of $240{\pm}10.9$ g) at the optimum water temperature. Two replicated groups of fish were fed a commercial diet at rates of 0%, 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1.0% body weight (BW) per day, and to satiation. Feeding trial was conducted using a flow-through system with 10 1.2-metric ton aquaria receiving filtered seawater at $19-21^{\circ}C$ for three weeks. Weight gain (WG) for fish fed to satiation was significantly higher than that of unfed fish and fish fed at 0.5% and 0.75% BW per day. The WG of fish fed at 1.0% BW per day was significantly higher than that of unfed fish and of fish fed at 0.5% BW per day. However, there were no significant differences in WG between fish fed at 0.5% BW per day and those fed at 0.75% BW per day, between fish fed at 0.75% BW per day and those fed at 1.0% BW per day, and between fish fed at 1.0% BW per day and those fed to satiation. The specific growth rates of fish fed at 1.0% BW per day and those fed to satiation were significantly higher than those of unfed fish and of fish fed at 0.5% BW per day. Broken-line regression analysis of weight gain showed that the optimum feeding rate of olive flounder weighing 240 g was 1.09% BW per day at the optimum water temperature.
