지진하중을 받는 케이슨 방파제의 변위 특성분석 (Displacement Charateristics of Caisson-Type Breakwater under Earthquake Loadings)

  • Recently, the earthquakes activities are more of frequency occurred in the country. In case of nomal or large magnitude earthquakes, which cause a rising number of life loss or widespread loss of property. It must be considered how to cope with the situperty of dpmage in the country ty account of ay earthquake. Consequently, the public works have currently ensured against a lot of risk about seismism not only on large scale structures but also relatively small structures. Therefore, in this study, in order to make the seismic stability safe, it has been evaluated by the seismic performance for caisson-type breakwater. The seismic response analyses have conducted on the caisson-type breaker under long-period, short-period and artificial seismic wave. The liquefaction potential of the foundation, which is caisson-type, is also estimated by using the simplified assessment method. Finally, the result of the numerical analysis by PENTAGON 2D finite element method(FEM) program are presented for 3 cases with time-history seismic analysis under the seismic load.

  • $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ samples were fabricated by MPMG(Melt Powder Melt Growth). The effects of the $Y_2BaCuO_5$ and Ag addition on $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$ were studied throuth the Jc, Tc and magnetization. For the application of the bulk HTSC to current limiter, fly wheel and current lead and so on, the critical charateristics were investigated and compared with the solid sintering method.

  • 본 연구에서는 미소진폭의 파형벽을 가진 유로내에 응축성 기체인 습공기가 초음속으로 흐르는 경우의 유동에 대하여 정체점에서의 상대습도와 온도의 변화에 따 른 유동장내의 상태량의 변화와 경사충격파의 거동 등을 2차원 수직해석을 통하여 규 명하였다.

  • The spindle motor in a computer hard disk drive can be modeled as a rotor-bearing system supported by the base plate. Ball bearing is the crucial element to determine the stiffness of the spindle motor, and its design parameters and operating conditions determine the dynamic characteristics of the spindle motor. In the analysis of a rotor-bearing system with a short shaft like a spindle motor, the stiffness of the base plate as well as ball bearings must be considered accurately to analyze the dynamic charateristics of a spindle motor. In this paper, the lateral and the axial vibration of the spindle motor were analyzed by the transfer matrix method for the dual-shaft rotor-bearing model and by d.o.f lumped parameter model, respectively. The simulation results had good agreements with the experimental modal testing. The dynamic characteristics were fully investigated for the change of the major design parameters of the spindle motor, i.e. the preload of ball bearings and the rotational speed.

다기공홈형 단속지석의 개발에 관한 연구(I) - 단속지석의 설계, 제작 및 연삭특성 - (Development of Discontinuous Grinding Wheel with Multi-Porous Grooves(I) -Design, Manufacture and Grinding Characteristics of Discontinuous Grinding Wheel-)

  • Conventionally, grinding of stainless steel, aluminium ally, copper alloy, and titanum alloy are difficult to obtain the high quality finish, because they have the mechanical properties such as low hardness, high toughness which result in the loading of wheel and the poor surface finish. Inorder to perform the grinding operations for these sorts of materials easily, the discontinuous grinding wheel with multi-porous grooves has newly been developed. The multi-porous grooves were formed during wheel production. This discontinous grinding wheel increases the grinding performance. It is desirable to use the discontinuous grinding wheel when grinding materials wiht high efficiency and accuracy which is impossible by conventional wheels. In this paper, the constructing and manufacturing method of grinding wheel with multi-proous grooves are explained, and the grinding charateristics of discontinuous grinding wheel are also illustrate.

  • This paper presetns modifications of a hydraulic shovel to robotize, and we derive a dynamic model of the hydraulic shovel arms,and hydraulic analysis are discussed . Then , our purpose is making to imitate a target railroad line of the grinder position by the PID control. Moreover, to determine the gains of the PId controller, we referenced the Ziegler and Nichols' method. In this paper, we demonstrated that the PID control is available for system. These results indicated the possibility of practical use fo the deburring robot with the hydraulic shovel.

발사체 후방동체형상에 따른 기저항력에 대한 수치적 연구 (Numerical study of base drag of afterbodies for launch vehicles)

  • The projectile afterbodies for zero-lift drag reduction has been analyzed using the Navier-Stokes equations with the $\kappa-\epsilon$ turbulence model. The numerical method of a second order upwind scheme has been used on unstructured adaptive meshes. Base drag reduction methods that have been found effective on axisymmetric bodies include boattailing, base bleed, base comustion, locked vortex afterbodies and multistep afterbodies. In this paper, the charateristics of turbulence flow have been studied for geomeries of multistep afterbodies. The important geometrical and flow parameters relevant to the design of such afterbodies have been identified by number, length and height of step. The flow over multistep afterbodies has been analyzed including expansion waves, recompression waves, recirculating flow, shear flow and wake flow. The numerical results have been compared and analyzed with the experimental datum.

  • The 3-dimensional complex parts which construct automobile and aerospace parts are very difficult to polish by traditional polishing method. Abrasive flow machining is useful to polish an internal or external surface of the 3-dimensional shape part. In this paper media flow between workpiece and tooling part has been simulated and the charateristics of abrasive flow machining process have been analyzed according to various machining conditions by calculating the material removal and surface roughness.

Fabrication of ZnO/TiO2 Nanoheterostructure and Its Application to Photoelectrochemical Cell

  • Because both $TiO_2$ and ZnO has superior characteristic optically and electrically, there are various of research for these materials. However, they have large band gap energy which correspond with not visible light, but UV light. To make up for this disadvantage, Quantum dots (CdS, CdSe) which can absorb the visible light could be deposited on $ZnO/TiO_2$ nanostructure so that the the photoelectrochecmical cell can absorb the light that has larger region of wavelength. Both $TiO_2$ and ZnO can be grown to one-dimensional nanowire structure at low temperature through solutional method. Three-dimensional hierarcical $ZnO/TiO_2$ nanostructure is fabricated by applying these process. Large surface area of this structure make the light absorbed more efficiently. Through type 2 like-cascade energy band structure of nanostructure, the efficient separation of electron-hole pairs is expected. Photoelectrochemical charateristics are found by using these nanostructure to photoelectrode.
