Statement of the problem: The cold-cured resins used in fabrication of the provisional crown and fixed partial dentures could cause pulpal damage by heat generated during exothermic polymerization reactions. Purpose: In this in vitro study investigates the how external conditions such as material of the matrix, thickness of the matrix and thickness of dentin affect the temperature of the tooth during polymerization reaction of the cold-cured resins. Material and methods : To measure the temperature of the resin, metal die was maintained to the temperature of $37^{\circ}C$ with water bath to simulate the temperature of thetooth and thermocouple was placed in the center of the metal die. Acrylic pipe was cut in height of 1, 2, 3, 6, 10 mm and placed on the metal die and mixed resin was pored in the acrylic pipe As the resin polymerized temperature was recorded with the thermometer. Temperature of the resin using matrix was recorded by using the individual tray relieved in different thickness 2, 5, 7, 10 mm. The material of the matrix was irreversible hydrocolloid impression material, vinyl polysilloxane impression material and vacuum-formed template Temperature rise of the resin using different thickness of tooth section was record ed by placing tooth section on the metal die and placing resin over the tooth section. Results : Conclusion : 1. Temperature rise increased as the thickness of the resin increased but there was no significant differences over 3 mm thickness of the resin. 2. The lowest temperature rise was showed in irreversible hydrocolloid impression material and vinyl polysilloxane impression material vacuum-formed template as in orders. 3, Temperature rise of the resin decreased regardless of the thickness of the matrix when vinyl polysilloxane impression material was used as the matrix. 4 When irreversible hydrocolloid impression material was used as matrix, the temperature rise of the resin decreased as the thickness of the matrix increased and there was no temperature rise when thickness of the matrix reached 10 mm, 5. The temperature rise of the resin did not decreased when Polypropylene vacuum-formed template was used as the matrix. 6, The temperature of the resin increased as the thickness of the dentin decreased.
The development of bipolar plate having high efficiency and chemical properties has a major impact on fuel cell applications commercialization. Even though graphite bipolar plate has high electric conductivity and chemical resistance, it has demerits about mass production and brittle property for commercialization. Hence, metallic bipolar plate can be substitute for fuel cell bipolar plate. Although its inadequate corrosion behavior under PEMFC environment lead to a deterioration of membrane by dissolved metal ions, metallic bipolar plate for PEMFC is more suitable for automotive and residential power generation system because of its high mechanical strength, low gas permeability and applicability to mass production. Therefore, several types of coating has been applied to prevent corrosion and oxide film growth and to achieve more high durability. This work presents durability of coated metal bipolar plate for low temperature PEMFC which made for fuel cell vehicle. This results showed surface treatment increase long-term durability, even electric conductivity and corrosion resistance.

Warm deep drawing which is one of the new forming technologies to improve formability of sheet metal is applied to the cylindrical cup drawing of Mg-alloy sheet metal. In experiments the temperature of die and blank holder is varied from room temperature to $300^{\circ}C$, while the punch is cooled by circulation of coolant to increase the fracture strength of workpiece on the punch corner area. Test material chosen for experiments is AZ31 magnesium sheet metal. Teflon film as a lubricant is used on both sides of a workpiece. The limit drawing ratio as well as thickness distributions of drawn cups are investigated and validity of warm deep drawing process is also discussed.

A new 2-D braided textile metal matrix composite was developed and characterized. The constituent materials consist of PAN type carbon fiber as reinforcements and pure aluminum as matrices. The braided preforms of different braider yarn angles were fabricated. For a fixed bundle size of 12K, three braider yarn angles was selected: $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, and $60^{\circ}$. The braided preforms were infiltrated with pure Al by vacuum assisted squeeze casting. Through the investigation of melt pressing methods and the effects of process parameters such as applied pressure, and pouring temperature, the optimal process conditions were identified as follows: applied pressure of 60MPa, pouring temperature of $800^{\circ}C$. Using the measured geometric parameters, 3-D engineering constants of metal matrix composites have been determined from the elastic model, which utilizes the coordinate transformation and the averaging of stiffened and compliance constants based upon the volume of each reinforcement and matrix material.
Synthesis of carbon nanotubes and nanofibers on a metal substrate by an ethylene fueled inverse diffusion flame was illustrated. Stainless steel plates were used for the catalytic metal substrate. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes and nanofibers with a diameter range of 30-80nm were found on the substrate. The temperature of the substrate played an important role in the formation of carbon nanotubes and nanofibers. The pathway to the nanotubes and nanofibers could be determined by the temperature history of the substrate.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to observe the change of metal-mold reaction and surface roughness in titanium casting specimens for phosphate-silica alumina bonded investment with mold temperatures. Methods: The metal-phosphate silica alumina bonded mold interface reaction and surface roughness of titanium casting specimens according to mold temperatures were investigated. The Specimens were analysed by scanning electron microscopy and surface roughness tester. Results: The oxidation behavior indicated by the growth of oxide thickness. The titanium-oxide layer were consisted two layer of a porous external and a dense internal one. The reaction layer and surface roughness increased with increasing investment material temperature. Conclusion: In this work, The most suitable mold temperature in casting of pure titanium was $200^{\circ}C$.

Densification behaviors of mixed metal powder under high temperature were investigated. Experimental data of mixed copper and tool steel powder with various volume fractions of Cu powder were obtained under hot isostatic pressing and hot pressing. By mixing the creep potentials of McMeeking and co-workers and of Abouaf and co-workers originally for pure powder, the mixed creep potentials with various volume fractions of Cu powder were employed in the constitutive models. The constitutive equations were implemented into a finite element program (ABAQUS) to compare with experimental data for densification of mixed powder under hot isostatic pressing and hot pressing. Finite element calculations by using the creep potentials of Abouaf and co-workers agreed reasonably well with experimental data, however, those by McMeeking and co-workers underestimate experimental data as observed in the case of pure metal powders.

Recently, the uses of Ceramic/metal bonded joints, resin/metal joints, adhesive joints, composite materials which are composed of dissimiliar materials have increased in various industry fields. Since the ceramic/metal bonded joints material is made at a high temperature, residual stress distributions due to differences in material properties were investigated by varying material parameters. The two dimensional finite element analysis was performed to study residual stress distribution in Si3N4/SM45C bonded joint with a copper interlayer between the silicon nitride(Si3N4) and the structural carbon steel(SM45C) and 4-point bending tests were carried out under room temperature. Fracture surface and crack propagation path were observed using scanning electron microscope and characteristics of its fracture was discussed.

The magnetoresistance (MR) of $La_{1-\chi}S_{\chi}CoO_{3-\delta}$ films prepared by pulsed-laser deposition were investigated in order to clarify the magnetotransport properties around the metal-insulator transition. For the films in the metallic state ($\chi$ > 0.25), the MR(T) manifests a small peak at the Curie temperature due to the spin-disorder scattering. The transition of the film into the insulating state ($\chi\;\leq$ 0.25) is accompanied by an essential growth of the MR and results in a significant increase in the MR(T) with decreasing temperature, due to a phase separation into the ferromagnetic-metal clusters and the insulating matrix.
To remove SO$_2$ from flus gas, cupric oxide, manganese oxide and iron oxide were studied with varying loading value. The experiment was carried out in a flow reactor and the reactants were prepared by impregnation method using alumina. The reaction temperature was varied from 30$0^{\circ}C$ to 45$0^{\circ}C$. Experimental results showed that all of these metal oxides were effective on SO$_2$ removal reaction and cupric oxide was the best reactant. The sample with 10wt% loading value was better reactant than with 20wt% because in case of 20wt% loading, metal dispersion on the alumina surface was not uniform. And the SO$_2$ removal efficiency was increased with the reaction temperature.
