A bone metastasis is an important factor for prognosis and treatment of breast or prostate cancer patients. [$^{18}F$]Sodium fluoride ([$^{18}F$]NaF) is a PET radiopharmaceutical that can detect bone metastasis. Conventional [$^{18}F$]NaF production process included radioactive metal impurities because the product was prepared by adding saline after beam irradiation to $[^{18}O]H_2O$. In this study, we apply the method of removing radionuclidic impurities. To meet the criteria prescribed by GMP in quality control, we designed the custom-made [$^{18}F$]NaF automatic module. The mean radiochemical yield was $82.1{\pm}4.4%$ (n = 32) productions for 3 years) and the total preparation time was 4 min. The final produced [$^{18}F$]NaF solution meets the USP criteria for quality control. Thus, this fully automated system is validated for clinical use.

The effects of phosphate coating have been studied on physical properties and corrosion resistance of painted aluminum alloy sheet for automobile body. The physical properties (surface roughness, paint adhesion, impact resistance and pencil hardness) and corrosion resistance(cyclic corrosion and filiform corrosion) were investigated. Phosphate coatings enhanced the physical properties of painted Al alloy sheet, especially paint adhesion after the 240hours water immersion test. Phosphate coating also markedly improved the resistance for cyclic corrosion and filiform corrosion of painted cold rolled steel and Zn-Ni plated steel sheet as well as painted Al alloy sheet. The corrosion resistance of painted Al sheets was varied with the concentration of free fluoride ion and metal additives like Ni and Mn in the phosphating bath. A maximum corrosion resistance was obtained at about 300ppm of fluoride ion and additives of Ni and Mn obviously increased the corrosion resistance of painted specimens.

We synthesized a poly[2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl) benzoxazole] under the two step procedures of Suzuki coupling polymerization with corresponding monomers followed by the deprotection of benzyl group. The polymer in DMF solution is applicable to colorimetric sensing fluoride anion, which shows a color change from colorless to yellow. High sensitivity to fluoride anion compared to other anions such as phosphate, chloride, and sulfate is ascribed to the high coordination ability of the 2-(2'-hydroxy phenyl)benzoxazole moiety in the polymer chain. Emission shift by metal cations, which can be applied to fluorescent sensing w as also observed in the polymer solution.
A new technology to make fluoride gas such as NF$_3$contained in the exhaust gas from semiconductor manufacturing plants convert directly into a harmless substance have been established and new concept on the disposal treatment of global warming gases were presented. Experimental results verify that the chemical reactions can be take place at substantially lower temperature of 80-40$0^{\circ}C$ as compared with the combustion treatment method. Reaction product is mainly metal fluoride which is a harmless and a valuable chemical material as one of new resources. The other favorable characteristics are that the continuous treatment is possible at a low temperature under atmospheric pressure. Furthermore this process is compact, easily controllable and safely operable at low running cost. This paper concerns with a new harmless disposal treatment of toxic global warming gas.

There are some methods that have been used to manage a degasing process in recent years, such as an injection method that uses aluminum molten metal powder and chemicals supplier and input method that supplies argon and nitrogen, or chlorine gas by using a gas blow-tube. However, these methods show some problems, and it shows that it is a difficult process to handle, pollution due to producing a lot of toxic gases like chlorine and fluoride gas, irregular effects, and lowering work efficiency due to the excessive processing time. The problems that are the most fatal are the producing a lot of sludge due to the reaction of aluminum molten metal with chemicals, loss of metals, and decreasing the life of refractory materials. In order to solve these problems, this paper develops a technology that is related to aluminum continuous casting molten metal and monolithic degasing apparatus. A degasing apparatus developed in this study improved the existing methods and prevented environmental pollution with smokeless, odorless, and harmlessness by using a new method that applies argon and nitrogen gas in which the methods used in the West and Japan are eliminated. The method developed in this study decreases the molten metal processing and settling time compared to the existing methods and improves the workers' health, safety, and environment because there is no pollution in processes.

The article presents the recent research development in polymer ferroelectric non-volatile memory. A brief overview is given of the history of ferroelectric memory and device architectures based on inorganic ferroelectric materials. Particular emphasis is made on device elements such as metal/ferroelectric/metal type capacitor, metal-ferroelectric-insulator-semiconductor (MFIS) and ferroelectric field effect transistor (FeFET) with ferroelectric poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) and its copolymers with trifluoroethylene (TrFE). In addition, various material and process issues for realization of polymer ferroelectric non-volatile memory are discussed, including the control of crystal polymorphs, film thickness, crystallization and crystal orientation and the unconventional patterning techniques.

Nanoporous or nanotubular metal oxide can be fabricated by anodization of metal substrate in fluoride contained electrolytes. The approach allows various transition metals such as Zr, Hf, Nb, Ta to form highly ordered oxide nanostructures. These oxide nanostructures have various advantages such as high surface area, fast electron transport rate and slow recombination in semiconductive materials. Recently, vanadium oxide nanostructures have been drawn attentions due to their superior electronic, catalytic and ion insertion properties. However, anodization of vanadium metal to form oxide layers is relatively difficult due to ease formation of highly soluble complex in water contained electrolyte during anodization. Yang et al. reported $[TiF_6]^{2-}$ or $[BF_4]^-$ in electrolyte helps to formation of stable oxide layer [1, 2]. However, the reported approaches are very sensitive in other parameters. In this presentation, we deal with the other important key parameters to form ordered anodic vanadium oxide such as pH, temperatures and applied potential.

With increasing interest in fluorinated compounds, nucleophilic fluorination reaction has been generally used for synthesizing fluorine-containing chemicals. However, alkali metal fluorides (MFs) generally have low solubility and reactivity in organic solvent. To overcome these problems, various phase transfer catalysts (PTCs) have been investigated. Calix-arene is known as to capture the metal cation(M+), and therefore in this review, we would like to introduce several kinds of calix-arene based PTCs, such as bis-tert-alcohol-functionalized crown-6-calix[4]arene (BACCA), oligo-ethylene glycol linked bis-triethyleneglycol crown-5-calix[4]arene (BTC5A), and ionic liquid functionalized calix-arene based catalyst, as well as ion-pair receptor crown-6-calix[4]arene-capped calix[4]pyrrole.
The purpose of this study is to observe the corrosion characteristics of five dental amalgams(CAULK FINE CUT, OPTALLOY II, DISPERSALLOY, TYTIN, and VALIANT) in the solutions with fluoride compound through the anodic polarization curve obtained by using a potentiostat. After each amalgam alloy and Hg being triturated, the triturated mass was inserted into the cylindrical metal mold, and condensed by hydraulic pressure(160 kg/$cm^2$). Each specimen was removed from the metal mold. Specimens were polished with the silicone carbide grinding paper 24 hours after condensation and stored at room temperature for 1 week. The anodic polarization curves were employed to compare the corrosion behaviours of the amalgams in 0.9 % saline solution and in the saline solutions with 2.2 ppm, 0.05 %, 2 % NaF, and 8 % $SnF_2$ at $37^{\circ}C$ with 3-electrode potentiostat. After the immersion of specimen in electrolyte for 30 minutes, the potential scan was begun. The potential scan range was -1500m V to + 800m V(vs. S.C.E.) in the working electrode and the scan rate was 50 mV/sec. The results were as follows, 1. The corrosion potential, the potential of anodic current peak, and transpassive potential in the saline solutions with NaF shifted to lower direction than those in normal saline solution, and the current density in the saline solutions with NaF was higher than that in normal saline solution. The differences were increased as the concentrations of NaF became higher. 2. The corrosion potential and transpassive potential in the saline solution with $SnF_2$ shifted to higher direction than those in normal saline solution, and the current density in the saline solution with $SnF_2$ was higher than that in normal saline solution after the corrosion potential. The anodic polarization curves in the saline solution with $SnF_2$ had no outstanding anodic current peak. 3. The corrosion potentials for high-copper amalgams were much higher than those for CAULK FINE CUT and OPTALLOY II in normal saline solution, but, as the concentrations of fluoride compound became higher, the differences in corrosion potentials between them were decreased. The corrosion potentials had the similarity in the saline solution with 2% NaF or 8% $SnF_2$. 4. The current density for TYTIN was the lowest among the others in normal saline solution and in the saline solution with 2.2 ppm or 0.05 % NaF. 5. There was no significant difference in current density between Pd-enriched VALIANT and other high-copper amalgams.

Fluosilicic acid ($H_2SiF_6$) is recovered as aqueous solution which absorbs $SiF_4$ produced from the manufacturing of industrial-graded $H_3PO_4$ or HF. Generally, fluosilicate salts prepared by the reaction between $H_2SiF_6$ and metal salts. Addition of fluosilicate salts to cement endows odd properties through unique chemical reaction with the fresh and hardened cement. In this study, two-component fluosilicate salt based chemical admixtures (MZ) of $4\%,\;6\%$, and $8\%$ concentration were prepared by the reaction of $H_2SiF_6$ ($25\pm2\%$) and metal salts. The effect of concentration of MZ at a constant adding ratio on the hydration and watertightness of cement were investigated respectively. In a cement containing MZ, metal fluorides such as $CaF_2$ and soluble silica by hydrolysis were newly formed during hydration. The total porosity of the hardened cement was lower in the presence of U because of packing role of metal fluoride and pozzolanic reaction of soluble $SiO_2$. Consequently, the watertightness of the hardened paste containing MZ was more improved than non-added (plain) due to an odd hydration between cement and MZ.
