자동차용 차동 베벨기어의 최적 예비성형체 설계 (The Optimal Preform Design for Automotive Differential Bevel Gear)

  • In this paper, the warm forging process sequence has been determined to manufacture the warm forged product for the precision bevel gear used as the differential gear unit of a commercial automobile. The preform shape of bevel gear influences the dimensional accuracy and stiffness of final product. The aspect ratio and chamfer length are considered as design parameters to achieve adequate metal distribution in the finish forging operation. Then the optimal conditions of design parameters have been selected by artificial neural network (ANN). Finally, to verify the optimal preform shape, the experiments of the warm forging of the bevel gear have been executed. The proposed method can give more systematic and economically feasible means for designing the preform shape in metal forming process.

  • The term 'High Speed Machining' has been used for many years to describe end milling with small diameter tools at high rotational speeds, typically 10,000-100,000rpm. The process was applied in the aerospace industry for the machining of light alloys, notably aluminum. In recent year, however, the mold and die industry has begun to use the technology for the production of components, including those manufactured from hardened tool steels. With increasing cutting speed used in modern machining operation, the thermal aspects of cutting become more and mole Important. It not only directly influences in rate of tool weal, but also affects machining precision recognized as thermal expansion and the roughness of the surface finish. Hence, one needs to accurately evaluate the rate of cutting heat generation and temperature distributions on the machining surface. To overcome the heat generation, we used to cutting fluid. Cutting fluid plays a roles in metal cutting process. Mechanically coupled effectiveness of cutting fluids affect to friction coefficient at tool-workpiece interface and cutting temperature and chip control, surface finish, tool wear and form accuracy. Through this study, we examined the behavior of heat generation in high-speed machining and the cooling performance of various cooling methods.

금속코핑 설계에 따른 Collarless Metal Ceramic Crown의 파절강도에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON FRACTURE STRENGTH OF COLLARLESS METAL CERAMIC CROWN WITH DIFFERENT METAL COPING DESIGN)

  • The metal ceramic crown is currently the most popular complete veneer restoration in dentistry, but in many cases, the metal cervical collar at the facial margin is unesthetic and unacceptable. Facial porcelain margin has been used in place of it. But this dose not solve the problems, such as dark gingival discoloration and cervical opaque reflection of porcelain veneer. Recently, metal copings which were designed to terminate its labio-cervical end on the axial walls coronal to the shoulder have been clinically used to solve the esthetic problem of metal ceramic crown. But in this design, porcelain veneer of labio-cervical area which is not supported by metal may not be able to resist the stress during cementation and mastication. The purpose of this study was to evaluate fracture strength and fractured appearance of crowns according to different coping designs. A resin maxillary left central incisor analogue was prepared for a metal ceramic crown, and metal dies were made with duplication mold. Metal copings were made and assigned to one of four groups based on facial framework designs: group 1, coping with 0.5mm metal collar; group 2, metal extended to the shoulder; group 3, metal extended to 1mm coronal tn the shoulder: group 4, metal extended to 2mm coronal to the shoulder. Copings and crowns were adjusted to be same size and thickness, and cemented to metal dies with zinc phosphate cement by finger pressure. Fracture strength was measured with Instron Universal Testing Machine. Metal dies were anchored in Three-way-vice at 3mm below finish line and at $130^{\circ}$ inclined to the long axis of the crown. Load was directed lingually at 2mm below midincisal edge. Load value at initial crack and at catastrophic fracture was recorded. The results obtained were as follows : 1. Fracture strength values at initial crack were higher in groups 1, 2 than in groups 3, 4 but this difference was not statistically significant(P<0.05). 2. Conventional metal collared crown had greater catastrophic fracture strength than any other collarless crowns. 3. The greater the labial metal coping reduction, the lower the catastrophic fracture strength of crowns but when more than 1mm of labial metal reduction was done, the difference in strengths was not statistically significant(p<0.05). 4. The strongest collarless coping design was group 2.

학교시설 건설공사의 작업분류체계 구축 및 단위작업별 선후행 관계 분석 (Development of Work Breakdown Structure and Analysis of Precedence Relations by Activity in School Facilities Construction Work)

  • The work breakdown structure and the precedence relations by work activity are very important because they are the basic data for estimating the construction duration in the construction work. However, there is no standard to accurately estimate the construction duration since the size of the school facilities construction is smaller than the general construction work. Therefore, some schools are unable to open in March or September and the delay of the construction duration can cause damage to the students. To solve this problem, this study developed a work breakdown structure of school facilities construction work and analyzed the precedence relations by work activities. The work breakdown structure of the school facilities construction is composed of three steps. The operations corresponding to level 1 and level 2 are as follows. (1) 2 preparatory work categories; preparation period and temporary construction. (2) 17 architectural work categories; temporary construction, foundation & pile work, reinforced concrete work, steel roof work, brick work, plaster work, tile work, stone work, waterproof construction, wood work, interior construction, floor work, metal work, roof work, windows construction, glazing work and paint construction. (3) 7 mechanic and fire work categories; outside trunk line work, plumbing work, air-conditioning equipment work, machine room work, city gas plumbing work, sanitation facilities and inspection & test working. (4) 4 civil work categories; wastewater work, drainage work, pavement work and other work. (5) 1 landscaping work categories; planting work. The work breakdown structure was derived from interviews with experts based on the milestones and detailed statements of existing school facilities. The analysis of precedence relations by school facilities work activity utilized PDM(Precedence Diagramming Method)which does not need a dummy and the relations were applied using FS(Finish to Start), FF(Finish to Finish), SS(Start to Start), SF(Start to Finish). The analysis of this study shows that if one work activity is delayed, the entire construction duration may be delayed because the majority of the works are FS relations. Therefore, it is necessary to use the Lag at the appropriate time to estimate the standard construction duration of the school facility construction. Lag is a term used only in the PDM method and it is used to define the relationship between the predecessor and the successor in creating the network milestone. And it means the delay time applied to the two work activities. The results of this study can reasonably estimate the standard construction duration of school facilities and it will contribute to the quality of the school facilities construction.

CAD-CAM을 이용한 3D printing, milling, casting 방법의 비귀금속 코핑의 지대치 변연 적합도 연구 (Influence of finish line design on the marginal fit of nonprecious metal alloy coping fabricated by 3D printing, milling and casting using CAD-CAM)

  • 목적: 본 연구의 목적은 레이져 신터링, 컴퓨터 밀링, 주조의 세 가지 방법으로 제작된 비귀금속 합금 코핑의 변연 형태에 따른 변연 적합도의 변화를 관찰하는 데 있다. 재료 및 방법: 서로 다른 두 개의 변연 형태를 정확히 재현하기 위해 3D Computer-aided Design을 이용하여 지대치 삭제의 원칙에 따라 지대치를 디자인한 다음, 티타늄 블럭을 컴퓨터 밀링하여 주모델을 제작하였다. 각각의 모델에 대하여 위의 3가지 제작 방식으로 비귀금속 합금 코핑을 12개씩 제작하여, 총 72개의 코핑을 제작하였다. 각 코핑은 지대치에 적합시켜서 공초점 레이저 주사 현미경으로 근심, 협측, 원심, 설측 변연의 변연 적합도를 150배율로 측정하였다. 결과: 레이져 신터링으로 제작한 코핑의 평균 변연 오차는 deep chamfer margin에서 11.8 ± 7.4 ㎛, rounded shoulder margin에서 6.3 ± 3.5 ㎛ 였고, 그 차이는 통계적으로 유의했다 (P < .0001). 컴퓨터 밀링으로 제작한 그룹에서는 deep chamfer margin에서 53.9 ± 27.8 ㎛, rounded shoulder margin에서 48.6 ± 30.0 ㎛였고, 변연 형태에 따른 유의한 차이가 없었다 (P = .279). 주조 방법으로 제작한 그룹은 deep chamfer margin에서 18.8 ± 20.2 ㎛, rounded shoulder margin 에서 30 ± 20.5 ㎛ 였고, 그 차이는 통계적으로 유의했다 (P = .0004). 결론: 이번 실험을 통하여, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 변연의 형태에 따른 변연 적합도는 레이져 신터링이나 주조 방법으로 제작된 금속 코핑의 경우 변연 형태에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다. 2. 레이져 신터링으로 제작한 금속 코핑에서 rounded shoulder margin이 deep chamfer margin보다 우수한 변연 적합도를 보였다. 3. 주조 방법으로 제작한 금속 코핑의 경우는 deep chamfer margin이 rounded shoulder margin보다 우수한 변연 적합도를 보였다. 4. 제작 방식에 따른 코핑의 변연 적합도는 레이져 신터링이 가장 양호하였고, 그 다음 주조 방법과 밀링 방법 순으로 변연 적합도 양호하였다. 이번 연구를 통해, 지대치의 변연 형태에 따른 금속 코핑의 변연 적합도의 변화를 관찰하였으며, 레이져 신터링으로 제작하거나 디지털 밀링한 왁스 패턴을 캐스팅한 경우에는 상관 관계가 있음을 확인하였다. 임상에 적용함에 있어 지대치의 변연 형태를 고려하여 제작 방식을 결정하는 것이 추천된다.

Effect of GLUMA desensitizer on the retention of full metal crowns cemented with Rely X U200 self-adhesive cement

  • PURPOSE. Considering the importance of retention in the success and long-term clinical service of fixed partial dentures (FPDs) as well as the existing controversy regarding the effect of GLUMA desensitizer on the retention of full metal crowns cemented with RelyX U200 self-adhesive cement, this study aimed to assess the effect of GLUMA desensitizer on the retention of full metal crowns cemented using RelyX U200. MATERIALS AND METHODS. In this experimental study, 20 sound human premolars were prepared; a 0.5 mm chamfer finish line was prepared above the cementoenamel junction. The teeth were randomly assigned to two groups: a desensitizer group (n = 10, treated with GLUMA desensitizer) and a control (n = 10, no surface treatment). Full metal crowns were fabricated of base metal alloy and had a ring. All crowns were cemented with RelyX U200 and subjected to retention test by using a universal testing machine. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 20 and independent t-test. RESULTS. The mean tensile bond strength was significantly higher in the GLUMA desensitizer group ($230.63{\pm}63.8N$) compared to the control group ($164.45{\pm}39.3N$) ($P{\leq}.012$). CONCLUSION. GLUMA desensitizer increases the tensile bond strength of RelyX U200 self-adhesive cement to dentin.

Sn계 무연 솔더에 관한 연구

  • Three different kinds of substrate used in this study : bare Cu substrate, Ni-P/Cu substrate with a Ni-P layer thickness of $5\mu\textrm{m},$ and Au/Ni-P/Cu substrate with the Ni-P and Au layers of $0.15\mu\textrm{m}$ and $5\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness respectively. The wettability of various Sn-base solders was affected by the substrate metal finish used, i.e., nickel, gold and copper. On the Au/Ni-F/Cu substrate, Sn-base solders wet better than any of the other substrate metal finishes tested. The interfacial reaction between various substrate and Sn-base solder was investigated at $70^{\circ}C,$ $100^{\circ}C,$ $120^{\circ}C,$ $150^{\circ}C,$ $170^{\circ}C$ and $200^{\circ}C$ for reaction times ranging from 0 day to 60 day. Intermetallic phases was formed along a Sn-base solder/ various substrate interface during solid-state aging. The apparent activation energy for growth of Sn-Ag/Cu, Sn-Ag-Bi/Cu, and Sn-Bi/Cu couples were 65.4, 88.6, and 127.9 Kj/mol, respectively. After isothermal aging, the fracture surface shoved various characteristics depending on aging temperature and time, and the types of BGA pad.

전해 인프로세스 드레싱 연삭에서 AE를 이용한 가공안정성 감시에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Monitoring of Grinding Stability Using AE Sensor in Electrolytic In-Process Dressing Grinding)

  • Electrolytic in-process dressing grinding technique which enables application of metal bond wheels with fine superabrasives in mirror surface grinding operations has developed. It is possible to make efficient precision machining of hard and brittle material such as ceramic and hard metal by the employment of this technique. However, in order to ensure the success of performances such as efficient machining, surface finish, and surface quality, it is important to sustain the insulating layer that has sharply exposed abrasives in wheel surface. Using AE(Acoustic Emission) sensor, this paper will show whether the insulating layer sustains stably or not in real grinding time. And by comparing AErms value and surface roughness their thresholds for stable electrolytic in-process dressing grinding will be determined.
