Global Concurrency Control using Messaging Ordering in Multidatabase System (멀티데이터베이스 시스템에서는 메시징 순서를 적용한 전역 동시성 제어 기법)

  • 멀티데이터베이스 시스템이란 기존에 독자적으로 개발되어 사용되고 있는 서로 다른 지역 데이터베이스 시스템들을 논리적으로 통합하기 위해 제안된 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 논리적인 통합 인터페이스로 메시징 소프트웨어를 이용하고 메시징 순서 기능을 적용한 전역 동시성 제어 기법을 제안한다. 전역 직렬성을 보장하기 위하여 전역 트랜잭션의 서브 트랜잭션이 실행되는 모든 LDBS에서 같은 순서로 직렬화 되어야 한다. 메시징 순서 기능은 하의 노드가 여러 개 메시기를 송신하는 경우, 모든 노드는 송신한 순서에 따라 메시지를 수신함을 보장하는 것으로 이를 이용하여 전역 트랜잭션의 서브 트랜잭션들을 실행 노드에 같은 순서로 전송하고 실행 LDBS는 해당 순서대로 직렬화한다면 전역 직렬성을 보장할 수 있다. 그 결과 제안된 기법은 LDBS의 실행 정보 없이 전역 트랜잭션의 상대적인 실행 순서를 결정할 수 있기 때문에 지역 자치성을 보장한다.

  • SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)는 사용자간에 멀티미디어 세션을 생성, 수정, 종료를 위한 응용계층의 시그널링 프로토콜로써 확장성이 뛰어나 여러 인터넷 응용분야에 적용이 가능하다. SIP를 이용한 확장 서비스의 하나인 Presence 서비스는 사용자들간에 현재 위치의 변화에 따른 최신 정보를 제공함으로써 VoIP(Voice over IP), 인스턴트 메시징(Instant Messaging) 등 Presence 정보를 기반으로 하는 여러 응용 서비스와 연계하여 활용이 가능하다. Presence 서비스에서의 Watcher 정보는 특정한 자원(resource)에 대한 모든 등록(subscription) 상태를 의미하며 이 상태는 동적(dynamic)으로 변화하게 된다. 따라서 사용자는 이러한 변화되는 상태를 알기 위하여 watcher 정보에 등록할 필요가 생긴다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 SIP 기반의 Presence 시스템에서 동적으로 변화하는 사용자들의 등록 상태를 알려주는 Watcher 정보 서비스를 구현하였다.

  • Event notification service is a event-based messaging middle ware service needed for various vertical domains, such as, business applications, distributed system management, and web service integration. In this paper, we investigate the architecture of an event notification service that includes a subject-based event dissemination service and a flexible message communication service. The event dissemination service is in charge of transferring events asynchronously but speedy according to the subjects of events and their environmental knowledge. It also includes content-based message filtering. The message communication service provides a common communication infrastructure supporting variety types of messages and variety of protocols. Depending on application domains and situation, we can re-configurate the communication infrastructure in order to optimize the efficiency and usability. This paper shows the performance analysis of our event notification service with various types of message formats and protocols.

  • 인터넷 서비스의 발전으로 프로젝트의 규모가 커짐에 따라 발생하는 문제를 해결하기 위해 프로젝트의 구조가 Monolith 구조에서 Micro Service 구조로 변하는 중이다. Micro Service 구조는 각각 독립된 데이터베이스를 가지기 때문에 각 서비스들 간에 데이터를 공유하고 관리하는 것에 어려움이 있다. Apache Kafka와 같은 분산 메시징 시스템은 여러 개로 분산된 서비스 간에 메시지를 전송 및 수신하여 데이터의 통신과 교환을 가능하게 한다. 본 논문에서는 분산 메시징 시스템에서 지원하는 압축 방식 별로 성능을 측정하고 분석하고자 한다.

  • Internet telephony is an Internet service which supports voice telephone using VoIP technology on the IP-based Internet. It has some advantages in that voice telephone services can be accompanied with multimedia services such as video communication and messaging services. In this paper we suggested an Asterisk-based Internet telephony system which can be easily scalable. Most current systems use text files to manage their configuration: SIP users, dialplans, IVR service and etc. But we designed the management system which introduces database tables for efficiency and scalability. It also supports web-based functions developed by using Asterisk, Apache, MySQL, jQuery, PHP and open source softwares.

  • The almost of Web page has been gathered the personal information(Korean resident registration number, name, cell-phone number, home telephone number, E-mail address, home address, etc.) using the membership and log-in. The all most user of Web page are concerned for gathering of the personal information. I-pin is the alternative means of resident registration number and has been used during the last ten-year period in the internet. The accident of I-pin mass illegal issue was happened by hacker at February, 2015. In this paper, we analysis the problems of I-pin system about I-pin mass illegal issue accident and propose a improvement method of it. First, I-pin issue must be processed by the off-line of face certification in spite of user's inconvenience. Second, I-pin use must be made up through second certification of password or OTP. The third, the notification of I-pin use must be sent to the user by the text messaging service of cell-phone or the E-mail. The forth, I-pin must be used an alternative means of Korean resident registration number in Internet. The methods can reduce the problems of I-pin system.

  • The development of mobile applications is fast in recent years. However, nearly all applications are for messaging, financial, locating services based on simple interactions with mobile users because of the limited screen size, narrow network bandwidth, and low computing power. Processing an algorithm for supporting a group decision process on mobile devices becomes impossible. In this paper, we introduce the mobile-oriented simple interactive procedure for support a group decision making process. The interactive procedure is developed for multiple objective linear programming problems to help the group select a compromising solution in the mobile Internet environment. Our procedure lessens the burden of group decision makers, which is one of necessary conditions of the mobile environment. Only the partial weak order preferences of variables and objectives from group decision makers are enough for searching the best compromising solution. The methodology is designed to avoid any assumption about the shape or existence of the decision makers's utility function. For the purpose of the experimental study of the procedure, we developed a group decision support system in the mobile Internet environment, MOBIGSS and applied to an allocation problem of investor assets.

  • As the elderly population is becoming an aging society, the elderly are experiencing many problems. Social security costs for the elderly are increasing and the un-linked social phenomenon is emerging. Thus, the social infrastructure and welfare system established in the past economic growth period are in danger of not functioning properly. People socially isolated or with chronic diseases among the elderly are exposed to various accidents. Thus, an active healthcare management service is imperative. Additionally, in the event of a dangerous situation, the system must have ways to notify guardians (family or medical personnel) regarding appropriate action. Thus, in this paper, we propose the smartphone-based healthcare and emergency response service platform. The proposed service platform aggregates movement of relevant data in real-time using a smartphone. Based on aggregated data, it will always recognize the user's movements and current state using the human motion recognition mechanism. Thus, the proposed service platform provides real-time status monitoring, activity reports, a health calendar, location-based hospital information, emergency situation detection, and cloud messaging server-based efficient notification to several subscribers such as family, guardians, and medical personnel. Through this service, users or guardians can augment the level of care for the elderly through the reports. Also, if an emergency situation is detected, the system immediately informs guardians so as to minimize the risk through immediate response.

  • The rapid growth of sense-and-respond applications and the emerging cloud computing model present a new challenge: providing publish/subscribe middleware as a scalable and elastic cloud service. The publish/subscribe interaction model is a promising solution for scalable data dissemination over wide-area networks. In addition, there have been some work on the publish/subscribe messaging paradigm that guarantees reliability and availability in the face of node and link failures. These publish/subscribe systems are commonly used in information-centric networks and edge-fog-cloud infrastructures for IoT. The IoT has an edge-fog cloud infrastructure to efficiently process massive amounts of sensing data collected from the surrounding environment. In this paper. we propose a quorum-based hierarchical fault-tolerant publish/subscribe systems (QHFPS) to enable reliable delivery of messages in the presence of link and node failures. The QHFPS efficiently distributes IoT messages to the publish/subscribe brokers in fog overlay layers on the basis of proposing extended stepped grid (xS-grid) quorum for providing tolerance when faced with node failures and network partitions. We evaluate the performance of QHFPS in three aspects: number of transmitted Pub/Sub messages, average subscription delay, and subscritpion delivery rate with an analytical model.

  • Internet of Things(IoT) has become a key available technology for efficiently implementing device to device(D2D) services in various domains such as smart home, healthcare, smart city, agriculture, energy, logistics, and transportation. A lightweight publish/subscribe(Pub/Sub) messaging protocol not only establishes data dissemination pattern but also supports connectivity between IoT devices and their applications. Also, a Pub/Sub broker is deployed to facilitate data exchange among IoT devices. A scalable edge-based publish/subscribe (Pub/Sub) broker overlay networks support latency-sensitive IoT applications. In this paper, we design a hypercube grid quorum(HGQ) for distributed Pub/Sub systems based IoT applications. In designing HGQ, the network of hypercube structures suitable for the publish/subscribe model is built in the edge layer, and the proposed HGQ is designed by embedding a mesh overlay network in the hypercube. As their applications, we propose an HGQ-based mechansim for dissemination of the data of sensors or the message/event of IoT devices in IoT environments. The performance of HGQ is evaluated by analytical models. As the results, the latency and load balancing of applications based on the distributed Pub/Sub system using HGQ are improved.
