고용주의 정신장애인에 대한 태도조사 (Employers Attitude for Mentally Disabled People)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate employer's attitude towards mentally disabled people. Methods: The Lee (1996)'s questionnaire of community people's attitude on perception for mentally disabled people was used to collect data from 208 employers in Busan City. ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test were used to explore related factors of employer's attitude. Results: Employers having experience of hiring physically or mentally disabled people showed higher CAMI scores (p=.002). Especially, employers having experience of hiring mentally disabled people showed higher scores in four components of authoritarianism, benevolence, social restrictiveness, and community mental health ideology than any other groups. In addition, we found differences in employers' attitude on authoritarianism and benevolence according to types of industries and the number of employees. Conclusion: We could suggest that employers experience of employing disabled and mentally disabled people could improve their positive attitude. Therefore, we call for various efforts and programs development to encourage employers to hire mentally disabled people.

정신장애인 고용경험이 있는 고용주의 정신장애인 재고용 의사에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Influencing Factors on Rehiring Intentions for Mentally Disabled of Employer with Employment Experience)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence employer to rehire the mentally disabled. The participants of survey were 121 of employers' in Busan. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test and logistic regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 18.0. According to this analysis, the results show that employer's rehiring intentions for the mentally disabled is a significantly related to gender, relationship with mental disabled person, industrial classification, experience of disabled employees, period of employment with mentally disabled people, subsidy for employment promotion, employment quota system, benevolence, community mental health ideology. Logistic regression analysis showed that relationship with mental disabled person, industrial classification, experience of disabled employees, period of employment with mentally disabled people, subsidy for employment promotion, employment quota system and benevolence. On the basis of results, program for encouraging employer's intention of rehiring the mentally disabled should be development and establish mediate strategies.

성인 정신적 장애인의 영양소와 카로티노이드 섭취 수준 및 식습관에 대한 연구 (Nutrient and Carotenoid Intakes and Dietary Habits in Mentally Disabled Adults)

  • Objectives: According to preceding studies, many people with mental disability have unbalanced dietary habits or excessive intake of calories. Most of them are overweight or obese due to lack of self-control for food consumption, swallowing with inadequate chewing and physical inactivity. Therefore, this study aimed to assess the nutritional intake, including carotenoid, in mentally disabled people and find out a possible solution for nutritional improvement. Methods: People with intellectual disability (N=28), emotional disability (N=44) participated in this study. The disorder grades were from I to III and ages were between 20 and 65 years. Assessments included anthropometry, daily intake of nutrients, including carotenoid, ROMA III questionnaire for assessing bowel movement. Results: The average BMI of intellectually disabled people and emotionally disabled people was in the range of overweight and obesity respectively ($23.7{\pm}6.3kg/m^2$, $25.8{\pm}4.1kg/m^2$). Overall, the frequencies of vegetable and dairy product intakes were lower in this population. When compared with Recommended Nutrient Intake (RNI) from Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans 2010, the intakes of vitamin $B_1$, vitamin $B_2$ and calcium were insufficient in both groups. Also, lycopene intakes of carotenoid were low, compared with traditional Korean diet of the non-disabled people from the second year 2008 of the 4th National Health and Nutrition Survey. In addition, emotionally disabled people also had lower intake of cryptoxanthin. Conclusions: The mentally disabled people in this study showed lower intakes of vitamin $B_1$, vitamin $B_2$, calcium and carotenoids. Based on these findings, we recommend that it is important to encourage mentally disabled people to consume sufficient amounts of such nutrients in order to promote nutritional status.

  • In recent years, the growing needs and the interest of the welfare for the disabled people has ignited the educational facilities for the disabled in Korea. This special schools are to be provide the disabled people with proper facilities to provide opportunities to participate in social life and to maximize the educational efficiency. However many special schools are not properly designed to educate the disabled because their design guidelines including legal planning standards. It is also true that these standards are not specifically categorized and specialized according to the kinds of disability. This study, therefore aims to suggest measures of the special school design guidelines especially for the mentally disabled people. The study first looks after the characteristics of the mental disability and the current situations of special schools in Gwangju. It, then examines the behavilr of the mentally disabled students in some of special schools in Gwnagju through observation and interview. The interview has done with the staff in the facilities regarding the usage patterns and behavioral characteristics of the mentally disabled students especially in convenience facilities in schools.

일부 정신지체 장애인의 구강건강에 관한 연구 (A study on the oral health of some disabled people with mental retardation)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the oral health state of disabled people with mental retardation in an attempt to pave the way for oral health care planning geared toward the disabled. Subjects and Method : The subjects in this study were 46 mentally retarded people who attended rehabilitation centers for the disabled in the city of Wonju, Gangwon Province. After a survey was conducted, the collected data were analyzed with SPSS 13.0 program, and frequency analysis, percentage, ANOVA and t-test were utilized. Results : The findings of the study were as follows: 1. The simplified oral hygiene index of the mentally retarded people was 1.32, which was on the average. 2. The decayed teeth index and decayed teeth rate of the mentally retarded people were respectively 13.48 and 48.13 percent, which were above the average. 3. The decayed surface index and decayed surface rate of the mentally retarded people were respectively 27.17 and 17.39 percent. 4. The simplified debris index of the mentally retarded people significantly varied with gender(p<.01), and missing teeth index(p<.05) and missing surface index differed significantly with age. Filled surface index was significantly different according to the region. Conclusion : The findings of the study illustrated that their indexes related dental caries experience were high. In order to promote the oral health of the disabled with mental retardation, prolonged research should be implemented, and a dental checkup should be carried out on a regular basis by specialists. Preventive care and early treatment should be provided, and the development of customized oral health education programs tailored to different sorts of disabilities and oral health control methods is required.

고용주의 정신장애인 고용경험에 관한 연구 (The Lived Experiences of Employers among Employment of the Mentally Disabled People)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 정신장애인 고용경험이 있는 고용주의 고용경험을 깊이 있게 연구하고자 현상학적 연구를 활용하였다. 본 연구 참여자는 고용주 9명이며, 자료수집기간은 2017년 3월부터 2018년 9월까지 심층인터뷰를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 모든 자료는 녹음하였으며, 자료는 Braun과 Clarke의 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석결과 6개의 주제모음, 12개의 하위주제가 도출되었으며, 다음과 같다. 1) 막연한 걱정에 부딪침, 2) 계속되는 설득으로 혼란스러움, 3) 내 업무의 경계가 흔들림, 4) 팀의 일원이 되어감, 5) 더 나은 정신장애인 근로자를 기대함, 6) 사업체가 단결되어 나아감으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 정신장애인 근로자의 고용확대의 필요성을 제기하였다. 이와 더불어, 정신건강분야는 정신장애인을 고용하는 고용주에게 적절한 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 전문가의 지원이 필요하다.

정신장애인 동료지원활동의 고용 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Promotion of Employment for Peer Support Activities of People with Mentally Disabled)

  • 본 연구는 정신장애인 동료지원활동의 보다 발전적인 고용 활성화 방안을 모색하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 그리하여 정신장애인 동료지원활동 리더양성 일자리 지원사업을 담당하고 있는 직업재활실무자들을 대상으로 초점집단인터뷰(FGI)를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 연구참여자들은 본 사업을 통해 역량강화에 대한 기대를 갖고 있었고, 동료지원활동가의 역할에 대해 동료들에 대한 정서적 지원, 프로그램 계획 및 진행, 자조모임 운영, 사업 및 시설홍보, 직원 보조지원의 역할 등으로 인식하고 있었다. 또한 금전적인 보상과 의미있는 역할 수행이 된다면 보다 동기부여 될 수 있다고 보았으며, 사업참여를 통해 힘들지만 보람을 느끼며, 전문성 향상을 위해 스스로 노력하는 모습을 보였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 정신장애인 동료지원 활동 고용 활성화를 위한 논의 및 실제적인 제언을 하였다.

Analysis of workers's perception for vocational rehabilitation of the mentally disabled

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정신건강서비스 기관 종사자의 정신장애인 직업재활에 대한 인식을 확인하기 위한 서술적 조사하는 것이다. D광역시의 정신건강서비스 기관인 정신건강복지센터와 정신재활시설의 종사자 132명을 대상으로 정신장애인 직업재활, 가족지지, 종사자 역량, 종사자 욕구로 구성된 설문지를 이용하여 측정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계분석, 독립된 t 검정, 분산분석, 피어슨 상관관계 분석, 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구결과 정신건강서비스 기관 종사자의 정신장애인 직업재활에 대한 종사자 욕구는 정신재활시설이 정신건강복지센터보다 높게 나타났고, 종사자의 역량이 정신장애인 직업능력이나 가족지지에 비해 유의하게 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 향후 정신건강서비스 기관 종사자의 정신장애인 직업재활에 대한 역량을 강화시킴으로써 궁극적으로 정신장애인 직업재활의 활성화를 도모할 수 있을 것이다.

제조업에 종사하는 정신장애인 근로자의 이직의도 관련요인 (Factors Affecting Turnover Intention of People with Mentally Disabilities Working in Manufacturing Industry)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify turnover intentions in workers with mentally disabilities working in manufacturing industry. Methods: Participants were 147 workers with mentally disabled living in B-city and Y-city. The data were collected from September 1st to November 30th, 2011 using self-report questionnaires including measurements of turnover intentions, family support, work volition, working environment, job satisfaction and internalized stigma. Data analysis was done using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The average score for turnover intention was $2.9{\pm}0.7$. Turnover intention was related to job satisfaction, working environment, family support and internalized stigma. The predicting factors for turnover intention were job satisfaction, internalized stigma and gender. Those factors accounted for 41.9% of turnover intention. Conclusion: The results imply that workers with mentally disabled need to reduce internalized stigma as well as to increase job satisfaction in order to decrease turnover intention.

한국형 실천관계 척도 정신장애인 용 개발 연구 (Development and Validation Study of the Korean Version of Working Relationship Scale)

  • 본 연구는 정신장애인과 사례관리자간의 '실천관계(Working Relationship)'를 측정하는 한국형 실천관계 척도 정신장애인 용의 개발 및 타당화를 위해 진행되었다. 척도개발을 위해 첫째, 문헌연구와 정신장애인을 대상으로 3회의 포커스면접을 통해 실천관계척도의 예비문항을 구성하였다. 둘째, 정신장애인과 정신보건사회복지전공 사회복지학과 교수 2인 및 1급 정신보건사회복지사인 실무자 2인의 검토를 통해 최종 예비문항을 선정하였다. 셋째, 최종 선정된 예비문항을 569명의 정신장애인 대상의 실증조사연구를 통해 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였다. 수집된 자료를 무선 분할하여 먼저 탐색적 요인분석(exploratory factor analysis)을 실시한 결과, 3개의 요인구조를 확인하였다. 요인 1은 사례관리자의 전문적 실천과 관련된 '전문가 기여', 요인 2는 '부정적인 실천관계', 요인 3은 사례관리자와 정신장애인간의 친밀감을 나타내는 '정서적 유대'로 나타났다. 나머지 표본을 가지고 확인적 요인분석(confirmatory factor analysis)을 실시한 결과 모델의 적합도는 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 최종 33문항의 한국형 실천관계 척도 정신장애인 용을 개발 제시하였으며, 본 연구의 사회복지적 함의를 논하였다.
