Nonvolatile Ferroelectric Memory Devices Based on Black Phosphorus Nanosheet Field-Effect Transistors

  • Two-dimensional van der Waals (2D vdWs) materials have been extensively studied for future electronics and materials sciences due to their unique properties. Among them, black phosphorous (BP) has shown infinite potential for various device applications because of its high mobility and direct narrow band gap (~0.3 eV). In this work, we demonstrate a few-nm thick BP-based nonvolatile memory devices with an well-known poly(vinylidenefluoride-trifluoroethylene) [P(VDF-TrFE)] ferroelectric polymer gate insulator. Our BP ferroelectric memory devices show the highest linear mobility value of $1159cm^2/Vs$ with a $10^3$ on/off current ratio in our knowledge. Moreover, we successfully fabricate the ferroelectric complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) memory inverter circuits, combined with an n-type $MoS_2$ nanosheet transistor. Our memory CMOS inverter circuits show clear memory properties with a high output voltage memory efficiency of 95%. We thus conclude that the results of our ferroelectric memory devices exhibit promising perspectives for the future of 2D nanoelectronics and material science. 긍정적 감정에 따른 선언적 지식에 관한 비전형적 연상 과정에 대한 인지모델링 (Cognitive Modeling of Unusual Association with Declarative Knowledge by Positive Affect)

  • The aim of this study was to model unusual association with declarative knowledge by positive affect using ACT-R cognitive architecture. Existing research related with cognitive modeling tends to pay a lot of attention to strong and negative cognitive moderator. Mild positive affect, however, has far-reaching effects on problem solving and decision making. Typically, subjects with positive affect were more likely to respond to unusual associates in a word association task than subjects with neutral affect. In this study, a cognitive model using ACT-R cognitive architecture was developed to show the effect of positive affect on the cognitive organization related with memory. First, we organized the memory structure of stimulus word 'palm' based on published results in a word association task. Then, we decreased an ACT-R parameter that reflects the amount of weighting given to the dissimilarity between the stimulus word and the associate word to represent reorganized memory structure of the model by positive affect. As a result, no significant associate probability difference between model prediction and existing empirical data was found. The ACT-R cognitive architecture could be used to model the effect of positive affect on the unusual association by decreasing (manipulating) the weight of the dissimilarity. This study is useful in conducting model-based evaluation of the effects of positive affect in complex tasks involving memory, such as creative problem solving.

  • Although the concept of viewing knowledge as a critical resource has been widely accepted in prior studies, it is not fully understood how to acquire available knowledge in order to improve organizational effectiveness. However, it si sure that organizational knowledge management should pursuit the achievement of the business goal by delivering relevant and useful information to the right person at the right time. Group Support System (GSS) can play an important role to transfer scatter information into meaningful business knowledge for supporting strategic corporate decision-making. This study proposes a fuzzy GSS framework for acquiring workgroup knowledge from individual memory and aggregating workgroup knowledge to organizational knowledge. This study also proposes an architecture to support the fuzzy GSS framework. The architecture consists of user agents, information management agents, and a fuzzy model manager. To illustrate how the fuzzy GSS framework can be used to support the whole process of organization knowledge acquisition, an Internet-based GSS was developed and applied in a marketing decision process. It showed that the framework was effective for acquiring organizational knowledge.

Information, Knowledge, Wisdom: A Progressive a Value Added Chain

  • The paper lists problems in defining information and knowledge and also in differentiating between the two. It separately describes physical, economic and cognitive properties of information and knowledge. A long drawn comparative chart of the nature, characteristics and properties of knowledge and information is given. In addition it explains their relation with wisdom. The paper emphasizes that knowledge is only a human preserve. Also it finds common grounds and mutual dependence between information, knowledge and wisdom. The purpose is to clear confusion between knowledge and information, and find their relation with wisdom and tradition by placing these in value added and evolutionary chain: Signals--data-- Information--Knowledge--Wisdom--Tradition.

  • For the purpose of building the more efficient knowledge learning system, it is very important to make a good structure of the knowledge system first of all. The well designed knowledge system can make the stored knowledge to be easily accessed for knowledge acquisition and extraction. Expert knowledge can also play a good role for controlling. Accordingly, in this paper we propose the Hierarchical modular system with expert knowledge gating mechanism. This system consists of the mechanisms for knowledge acquisition, constructing the associative memory, knowledge inference and extraction according to the expert knowledge gating mechanism. We applied this system to the medical diagnostic area for classifying Virus(coxackie virus, echovirus, cold), Rhinitis(Nonallergic, allergic) and tested with symptom data

위키방식의 전문지식 협력이 프로젝트 구성원의 성과에 미치는 효과 (Wiki-Based Expert Knowledge Collaboration Effects on Performance of Project Members)

  • The advent of Web2.0 has believed to be the solution against many barriers in information sharing, especially wiki. Information sharing and collaboration are realized voluntarily and unselfishly with wiki. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the benefits and challenges of using wiki as a project management method in an IT/IS project. Wiki-based project management could provide project managers and members with expert knowledge collaboration for better project results. In the research model, we used TMS(Transactive Memory System) theory to define the relation of collaboration and performance of project members. Based on a survey among project members, the interactions between wiki characteristics and performance are examined in an IS project environment. Using Smart PLS 2.0, the data was analyzed to define the interactions by the structural equation modeling. From the empirical data, the mediated effect of expert knowledge collaboration is supported. We also derive the implications of wiki-based method. It is expected to bring new possibilities of Project management performance.

노인 대상 한국무용 교육의 지식경영 프로세스 도입 방안 연구 (The application of knowledge management in teaching Korean traditional dance for elderly people)

  • This paper aims at the application of knowledge management in teaching Korean traditional dance (KTD) for elderly people. KTD has been taught using the traditional method of individual verbal instructions. Applying the traditional method in teaching a group of elderly people has limitations for both instructors and for the elderly people. Because there is no uniform method in teaching KTD, each instructor has to create his or her own teaching plan. Also, due to diminishing memory among the elderly people, it is difficult for them to recall what they were verbally instructed. To overcome these limitations in teaching KTD, we propose the application of knowledge management (KM) process. The KM process will allow collecting, storing, sharing, and optimizing the tacit knowledge of KTD. The findings and implications in this study would provide insights not only for the KTD instructors but for the silver industry as well.

  • 디지털도서관은 그것을 구성하는 다양한 요소들이 상호작용 하는 네트워크로 이해될 필요가 있다. 본 논문은 사회 ${\cdot}$ 문화적 맥락에서 ICT를 연구하는 사회정보학적 관점에서 제안된 STIN모델을 적용하여 LC에서 개발한 디지털도서관인 American Memory를 분석하였다. American Memory의 핵심 이용자로 파악된 미국 초 ${\cdot}$${\cdot}$ 고등학교 교사와 학생들을 디지털도서관으로 끌어들이기 위하여 개발된 참여전략과정은 이용자. 디지털장서, 직원들 간의상호작용을 유도하고, 그들 간 관계와 역할을 변경시키면서 지식작업의 기반에 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 디지털도서관에 대한 분석과 이해에 새로운 방향을 제시해 줄 것이라고 기대한다.

탐구 중심 판토마임 교수에서 곱셈 개념의 기억의 보존 (Memory retention of mathematical concepts in multiplication in the inquiry-based pantomime instruction)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교에서의 탐구 중심 펜토마임 접근법을 이용할 때 곱셈의 개념에 대한 학생들의 기억의 보존에 관하여 조사를 하였다. 사전시험을 실시한 후 전통적으로 지도한 반과 펜토마임 접근법으로 지도한 반을 3개월 후에 어떻게 달라졌는지 알아보았다. 이 연구 결과 펜토마임 접근 방법을 사용한 반이 전통적인지도 방법을 이용한 반보다 곱셈의 개념을 보다 더 잘 기억하였고 수량적/기하적 설명을 하는데 있어서는 전통적인 지도 방법을 이용한 반과 비슷하였다. 이 연구는 특별히 초등학교 수준에서 탐구 지향적인 교수법과 같은 다양한 교수 전략을 사용할 때 수학적 개념의 이해의 유지에 어떤 영향을 주는지에 대한 시사점을 제공하였다.

멀티미디어 선반입에 적용 가능한 파일 액세스 패턴 기반의 선반입 시스템 (Prefetching System based on File Access Pattern Applicable to Multimedia Prefetching Scheme)

  • This paper presents the SIC(Size-Interval-Count) prefetching system that can record the file access patterns of applications within a relatively small space of memory based on the repetitiveness of the file access patterns. The SICPS(SIC Prefetching System) is based on knowledge-based prefetching methods which includes high correctness in predicting future accesses of applications. The proposed system then uses the recorded file access patterns, referred to as "SIC access pattern information", to correctly predict the future accesses of the applications. The proposed prefetching system improved the response time by about 40% compared to the general file system and showed remarkable memory efficiency compared to the previously knowledge-based prefetching methods.
