In this paper, two types of assemblies using CNT-filled SACAs (with 0.03 wt% CNTs and without CNT) were prepared to investigate the influence of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on the reliability properties of solderable anisotropic conductive adhesives (SACAs) with a low-melting-point alloy (LMPA). Two types of reliability test including thermal shock (TS: -55 to $125^{\circ}C$, 1000 cycles) and high-temperature and high-humidity (HTHH: $85^{\circ}C$, 85% RH, 1000 h) tests were conducted. The SACA assemblies with and without CNTs showed stable electrical reliability properties due to the formation of wide and stable metallurgical interconnection between corresponding metallizations by the molten LMPA fillers. Although the mechanical pull strength of CNT-filled SACA assemblies was decreased after thermal aging (because of the excessive layer growth and planarization of the IMCs), the CNT-filled SACA with 0.03wt% CNTs showed enhanced mechanical reliability properties compared with the SACA assemblies no CNTs. This enhancement in mechanical performance was due to the reinforcement effect of the CNTs. These results demonstrate that CNTs within the CNT-filled SACAs can improve the reliability properties of CNT-filled SACAs joints due to their superior physical properties.

Recently, experimental studies to prevent explosive spalling based on spalling mechanism and addition of Polypropylene fiber in high strength concrete (HSC) are performed actively. However, with respect to ultra high strength concrete (UHSC), its compact internal structure is more difficult release vapor pressure at rapid rising temperature compared to HSC. Therefore, in this study, an experiment was conducted to evaluate spalling properties of UHSC using ${\Box}$$100mm{\times}100{\times}H200mm$ rectangular specimen according to ISO-834 standard fire curve. With respect melting point of fiber, three fiber types of Polyethylene, Polypropylene, and Nylon fibers with melting temperature of $110^{\circ}C$, $165^{\circ}C$, and $225^{\circ}C$, respectively, were considered. Mixed fiber of 0.15% and 0.25% of concrete volume was used to consider spalling properties based on water vapor pressure release. Then, TGDTA test on fiber and FEM analysis were performed. The results showed that it is difficult to prevent initial spalling without loss of fiber mass even if fiber melting temperature is low. Also, in preventing thermal spalling, fiber that melts to rapidly create porosity within 10 minutes of fire is more effective than that of low melting temperature property of fiber.
In this study, the glass melting properties are evaluated to examine the possibility of using refused coal ore as replacement for ceramic materials. To fabricate the glass, refused coal ore with calcium carbonate and sodium carbonate in it (which are added as supplementary materials) is put into an alumina crucible, melted at $1,200{\sim}1,500^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr, and then annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs. We fabricate a black colored glass. The properties of the glass are measured by XRD (X-ray diffractometry) and TG-DTA (thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis). Glass samples manufactured at more than $1,300^{\circ}C$ with more than 60 % of refused coal ore are found by XRD to be non-crystalline in nature. In the case of the glass sample with 40 % of refused coal ore, from the sample melted at $1,200^{\circ}C$, a sodium aluminum phosphate peak, a disodium calcium silicate peak, and an unknown peak are observed. On the other hand, in the sample melted at $1,300^{\circ}C$, only the sodium aluminum phosphate peak and unknown peak are observed. And, peak changes that affect crystallization of the glass according to melting temperature are found. Therefore, it is concluded that glass with refused coal ore has good melting conditions at more than $1,200^{\circ}C$ and so can be applied to the construction field for materials such as glass tile, foamed glass panels, etc.

In this study, tin phosphate glass system($SnO_2-(1-x)P_2O_5-xB_2O_3$) that occur during the melting of the metal oxide inhibition of the oxidation reaction, and to reduce oxides of high melting temperature in the following three methods were melting. The first is the general way in the atmosphere, and the second by injecting $N_2$ gas under a neutral atmosphere, and finally in the air were melted by the addition of a reducing agent Melt in the atmosphere when the oxidation of the metal oxide is inhibited by low temperatures were melting. In addition, the deposition of crystals within glassy or inhibit devitrification phenomenon is also improved over 80% transmittance. This phenomenon, when the melting of glass, many of $Sn^{4+}$ ions are reduced to the $Sn^{2+}$ was forming oxides SnO, because it acts as a modifier oxide.

A proposed way to prepare $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ wires or tapes is that Ag is used as substrate and melting point of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ is decreased to lower than the melting point of silver ($961\;^{\circ}C$). Therefore after the deposition of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ film on Ag substrate, the heat treatment can be carried out below the Ag melting point. Silver (Ag) and Lead oxide(PbO) were selected to be additives for $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$. Different Ag and PbO contents were added in $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, the melting points of which were measured by DTA. In order to guarantee that the superconductivity of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ was not reduced after Ag and PbO added into $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, their superconductivities were measured. It is proved that as additives, both Ag and PbO can reduce the melting point of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$. For Ag doped $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, $T_c$ is about 93K and ${\Delta}Tc$ is $2{\sim}3K$. For PbO doped $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, $T_c$ is $88K{\sim}92K$ and ${\Delta}T_c$ is $11{\sim}12K$. When 10 wt% of Ag and 10 wt% PbO were added in $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$, the melting point of the mixture of $YBa_2Cu_3O_y$ (80 wt%), Ag (10 wt%) and PbO (l0 wt%) is $943^{\circ}C$. The transition temperatures ($T_c$) of the sample is 91.8 K.
The thermal properties of wood flour, Hwangto, and maleated polyethylene (MAPE) reinforced HDPE composites were investigated in this study. The thermal behavior of reinforced wood polymer composites was characterized by means of thermogravimetric (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) analyses. Hwangto and MAPE were used as an inorganic filler and a coupling agent, respectively. According to TGA analysis, the increase of wood flour level increased the thermal degradation of composites in the early stage, but decreased in the late stage. On the other hand, Hwangto reinforced composites showed the higher thermal stability than virgin HDPE, from the determination of differential peak temperature ($DT_p$). Decomposition temperature of wood flour and/or Hwangto reinforced composites increased with increase of heating rate. From DSC analysis, melting temperature of reinforced composites little bit increased with the addition of wood flour or Hwangto. As the loading of wood flour or Hwangto to HDPE increased, overall enthalpy decreased. It showed that wood flour and Hwangto absorbed more heat energy for melting the reinforced composites. Hwangto reinforced composites required more heat energy than wood flour reinforced composites and virgin HDPE. Coupling agent gave no significant effect on the thermal properties of composites. Thermal analyses indicate that composites with Hwangto are more thermally stable than those without Hwangto.
Binary skutterudite $CoSb_3$ compounds were prepared by the encapsulated induction melting (EIM) process, and their thermoelectric, microstructural and mechanical properties were examined. Single-phase ${\delta}-CoSb_3$ was successfully produced by the EIM and subsequent heat treatment at 773 K-873 K for 24 hours in vacuum. Seebeck coefficient increased with increasing heat treatment temperature up to 673 K, showing the positive signs in the range of measuring temperature. However, the samples heat-treated at 773 K-873 K showed negative Seebeck coefficient from room temperature to 400 K, while it showed positive signs above 400 K. Electrical resistivity decreased with increasing temperature, showing typical semiconducting conductivity. Thermal conductivity decreased drastically with increasing heat-treatment temperature. This is closely related with the phase transition to ${\delta}-CoSb_3$.

In this paper, we have investigated thermal properties and Impurities content of specimens showing by changing the content of carbon black that is semiconductive materials for underground power transmission. Specimens were made of sheet form with the three of existing resins and the nine of specimens for measurement. Impurities content of specimens was measured by ICPAES(Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometer). Heat capacity(ΔH) and melting temperature(Tm) were measured by DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimetry). The ranges of measurement temperature were from $0^{\circ}C$ to 20$0^{\circ}C$, and heating temperature was 4$^{\circ}C$/min. And then thermal diffusivity was measured by LFA 447. The measurement temperature was $25^{\circ}C$. Impurities content was highly measured according to increasing the content of carbon black from ICPAES results. And heat capacity and melting temperature from the DSC results were simultaneously decreased according to increasing the content of carbon black, while thermal diffusivity was increased according to increasing the content of carbon black. Because ionic impurities of carbon black containg Fe, Co, Mn, Al, and Zn were rapidly increasing kinetic energy by vibration of ionic impurities through the applied heat energy.
The microstructure, mechanical properties and melting range of Ni-Cr-Mo based alloys were investigated to develop Be-free Ni-Cr-Mo base dental alloys for Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal Firing(PFM). All as-cast alloys showed dendritic structure. Rockwell hardness of 20Cr7Mo was increased with addition of Si and Ti. On the contrary, it was decreased with addition of Co. The duplex alloying elemental addition such as 3Co + xTi, 2Si + xCo and 2Si + xTi to 20Cr7Mo resulted in much increase of hardness. Rockwell hardness and compressive strength for 20Cr3CoSiTi or 17Cr6CoSiTi alloy that add Si-Ti had similar values compared to the commercial alloys. Melting range for 20Cr3CoSiTi and 17Cr6CoSiTi alloy that add Si-Ti showed similar or lower than commercial alloys. In conclusion, 20Cr3CoSiTi and 17Cr6CoSiTi alloys can be applied for commercial use.

(YNdSm)-Ba-Cu-O system high Tc composite superconductors were directionally grown by zone melting process, having large temperature gradient, in air atmosphere. Cylindrical green rods of $(YNdSm)_{1.8}Ba_{2.4}Cu_{3.4}O_x$ [(YNS)1.8]composite oxides by CIP (cold isostatic pressing) method using rubber mold were fabricated. The microstructure and superconducting properties were investigated by XRD, TEM and SQUID magnetometer. The size of nonsuperconducting $(YNdSm)_2BaCuO_5$ inclusions of the melt-textured (YNS)1.8 sample with $CeO_2$ additive were remarkably reduced and uniformly distributed within the superconducting (YNS)1.8 matrix. (YNS)1.8 samples, with / without $CeO_2$ additive, showed an onset $T_c{\geq}90K$ and sharp superconducting transition. The critical current density $J_c$ value of the (YNdSm)1.8 superconductor with $CeO_2$ additive were 840 A, $1.2{\times}104A/cm^2$ in 77 K, 0 Tesla by direct current transport method.
