  • The external treatment of internal diseases was first recorded in Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經), and two hundred and fifty odd cases were found in the Bonchogangmok(本草綱目) and Oechisusebang(外治壽世方). Bonchogangmok(本草綱目) is a technical book devoted to explaining materia media as well as the external treatment of internal diseases. Oechisusebang(外治壽世方) is also a technical book, which make 36 references to the disease patterns of internal medicine. The medicinals employed as external treatment of internal diseases are grouped into 300 classes. These medicinals do not set limits to trees and plants but also uses birds and beasts, reptiles, grains, feces and urine, soil, stone etc., applied to various disease patterns. This study researched the medical texts in order to treat the disease patterns of internal medicine.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to use the theory of planned behavior, past habit and moral obligation to better understand the behavior of physical therapists (PTs) and occupational therapists (OTs) in protecting the medical information of patients. Methods: We conducted a survey using self-writting questionnaires structured within the framework of the theory of planned behavior to understand to analyze information from 103 clinical PTs and OTs in their efforts to protect patient medical information. Results: The PTs and OTs' medical information protecting behavior was 2.85 mean points. That point failed to reach 1.0 points. Behavior intention was 3.83 mean points. That was judged to be improved. Behavioral intention was closely correlated with behavior, behavioral attitude, subjective norms, behavior control, and past habit. Variables related to the theory of planned behavior, attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control all explained 50% of the behavioral intention of PTs and OTs regarding future divulgence of patient information. The past habits of PTs and OTs were also a significant predictor in explaining the behavioral intention to protect a patient's medical information (p<0.01). Conclusion: Revising the behavioral attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, and past habits of PTs and OTs helped improve their behavior regarding protection of the medical information of patents.

  • In this paper, we proposed an algorithm for arrhythmia classification, which is associated with the reduction of feature dimensions by linear discriminant analysis (LDA) and a support vector machine (SVM) based classifier. Seventeen original input features were extracted from preprocessed signals by wavelet transform, and attempts were then made to reduce these to 4 features, the linear combination of original features, by LDA. The performance of the SVM classifier with reduced features by LDA showed higher than with that by principal component analysis (PCA) and even with original features. For a cross-validation procedure, this SVM classifier was compared with Multilayer Perceptrons (MLP) and Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) classifiers. When all classifiers used the same reduced features, the overall performance of the SVM classifier was comprehensively superior to all others. Especially, the accuracy of discrimination of normal sinus rhythm (NSR), arterial premature contraction (APC), supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), premature ventricular contraction (PVC), ventricular tachycardia (VT) and ventricular fibrillation (VF) were $99.307\%,\;99.274\%,\;99.854\%,\;98.344\%,\;99.441\%\;and\;99.883\%$, respectively. And, even with smaller learning data, the SVM classifier offered better performance than the MLP classifier.

  • A symptoms of Diabetic is finded in many recordes, that is said to Diabetic or dryness or migratory arthralgia or flaccid paralysis of limb or abscess or arthralgia, but Diabetic is most closely symptom. So, study the 3-symptoms of Diabetes mellituscause, thses are polyuria and polyphasia and thirst, and this is similar symptoms of So-gal. So, bibliographic study or pathological approach of symptoms of So-gal, and So-gal in oriental medicine has come to the following conclution. The symptoms of So-gal is polyuria and polyphasia and thirst, is due to Simsinbulgyo, that is mean to breakdown of the normal physiological coordination between the heart and the kidney. A thirst is due to heat-transformation have an effect to the upper energizer and the heart and the lung and the stomach in Simsinbulgyo. A polyuria is due to failure of the kidneys Yang, that is due to failure of Yang of the heart in Simsinbulgyo.
