Purpose: To entice new customers, companies attach their products to sports. From a pastime enjoyed by many to a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, the sport has evolved due to the growth in sports marketing spending. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the notion of sports media marketing using the prior textual data. Research design, data and methodology: The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) methodology was conducted to investigate previous literature to achieve the purpose of the study. This method includes searching for information sources, selection of articles, and results extraction relative to the objectives. Results: The findings from prior systematic review indicated that customers and the marketplace can be better understood with the help of well-executed marketing campaigns. Moreover, many different techniques are being utilized to describe sports marketing such as the use of media, advertisement, public relations, and direct sales. Conclusions: All in all, the present study concludes that the notion of associative competitiveness is one of the unique characteristics of the sports sector. As a result, sports leagues and federations must maintain a balance within the league and develop a shared marketing strategy to help promote their respective sports and competitions.

The purpose of this study is to present supporting data that can suggest a direction for sports advertisement strategy on social media by investigating how differences in social media engagement of sports advertisement affect users' product trust and purchase intention. To achieve this purpose, a total of 810 questionnaires, which were completed by sports-related college students engaged in social media activities using a method for writing a self-evaluation report, were collected, and 765 questionnaires were used as final valid samples after excluding 45 insincerely completed copies. For data processing, analyses of frequency, factor, reliability, correlation, and multiple regression were conducted using the Window SPSS (ver. 23.0) statistical program to draw the following conclusions. First, the social media engagement of the sports advertisement had a significant effect on the trust of the advertised products. Second, the social media engagement of the sports advertisement had a significant effect on the purchase intention of the advertised products. Third, the product trust acquired through the sports advertisement had a significant effect on the purchase intention.
Purpose - Media is a significant distributional channel in sport. In terms of determining the influencer in building sport media contents, recent sport media studies have employed agenda-setting theory, assuming media itself as the agenda provider. In a real-world situation, however, sports stars have been deemed key factor determining distribution contents in sport. The starting point of this study is the "tacit premise" of agenda-setting theory. Given the agenda-setting theory, the current study attempted to explore the function of sport stars as an agenda provider, which is a key determinant of sport distribution. Research design, data, and methodology - This study has reviewed articles of Yuna Kim, Sang-hwa Lee, and Hyun-jin Ryu from daily newspapers including as dong-a ilbo and joongang ilbo (2013 to 2017). The study collected data, portable document format (PDF), from the online archive of dong-a ilbo and joongang ilbo. We coded the length of the article, the frequency, the size of the picture, and the structural form of the article. Inter-coder reliability was compared with data previously investigated by the researcher. Inter-coder reliabilities for study 1 and 2 was .89 and .85. To examine hypotheses, descriptive analysis, correlations, and cross-tap analysis were performed. Results - The results partially supported the hypotheses proposing the significant role of sports stars as the agenda setters in distributing sport media contents. In specific, the study found that the number of articles about sports stars prevailed the number of articles about regular athletes. Besides, studies found that the use of photos was more frequent in articles of sports starts than that of regular athletes. In sports newspaper articles, featured story articles were used more than straight-articles for news relating to sports stars. Also, sports newspaper of sports stars contained more information associated within an event rather than outside of an event. Conclusions - In sports journalism, this study challenges the current theory that the media affects the composition and the content of sports coverages. As the principle of the agenda-setting of sports media, the influence of sports stars must be continuously studied along with a follow-up study.

This study tried to identify the influential users of college sports teams' Twitter accounts and categorize them into three groups including an official account, media account, and layperson account. A total of 14 Twitter accounts at NCAA Division 1 universities were selected through convenience sampling method. In men's sports, the greatest number of influential users was layperson account followed by media account and official account. In women's sports, the greatest number of influential users was layperson account followed by official account and media account. The results provided the insight of college sports online social network and will expand the growing literature on social media in sport and offer practical data for marketers to use social media more effectively.
The purpose of the study was to be aware of the types of leisure activity of the college students and to investigate factors for choosing the internet sports, and then to examine the effects of these factors on the consumption of the internet sports. A total of 412 college students participated in this study. The results of this study were as follows: 1) There was difference in the leisure type between male and female college students. 2) The amount of leisure time associated with sports of male college students was statistically greater than one of female college students. 3) The leisure time spent for the sports media of male college students was statistically greater than one of female college students. 4) The leisure time spent for the sports media of college students was prioritized for the TV, followed by the internet, newspapers, and the radio. 5) The results of the factor analysis indicated that the factors influencing choice of the internet sports consisted of the indirect experience, information collection, and accessibility. 6) Only information collection out of these factors positively influenced the increase of consumption of the internet sports. Above results could be evidence for that the internet is very important area for the sports consumption. Therefore, it requires more substantial research and investment of attention for the internet area because the internet is one of rapidly skyrocketing new areas in the leisure industry.
Physically interactive sports games are expanding to be training forms to replace real sports. Previous Physically interactive sports games are mostly technical studies for reality and immersion, and there is a few research related to sports movements for exercise. In this paper, we implement the physically interactive spinning game by applying the functional movement of spinning so that it can't only replace the real spinning but also an individual can play. Sports functional movement is expected to be an appropriate way to create physically interactive sports games.

In today's media environment, TV programmers and advertisers must strive ever harder to attract the attention of audiences. Yet what may be even more crucial is engaging audiences in conversations on social media and nourishing stronger relationships. To provide insights into how to improve audience experiences through social media television coviewing (STVC) behaviors, this study investigates audience motivations for using social networking sites (SNSs) while watching sports program (i.e., social media television coviewing-STVC) and examines relationships between identified motivations and key audience engagement outcomes. The results reveal four motivations for STVC behaviors: sports-related interaction seeking, information seeking, convenience seeking, and socializing. Further, results reveal that sports-related interaction seeking, information seeking, and socializing motivations are significant predictors of satisfaction, investment, and commitment to the program. Audience engagement outcomes are not predicted, however, by convenience seeking or by variables pertaining to SNS-use regarding STVC behaviors.
This study empirically analyzes the effect of a sports club's performance and social media operations on online information search volume, reflecting fan engagement. Additionally, it confirms that such effect can vary depending on the issuance of sports fan tokens. The analysis of the data resulted in the support of all four hypotheses presented in this study. The team's goal differentials during the games exhibited a significant and positive effect on the online information search volume by fans. Furthermore, the quantity of a team's social media posts also showed a significant and positive effect on the online information search volume. The aforementioned effects of the team's game-related performance and social media activity on the online information search volume appeared to be strengthened when the sports fan tokens of the team were issued. This study conducts an empirical analysis of fan engagement in sports clubs and delves into the marketing dimensions of sports fan tokens. By doing so, it broadens the research scope within sports marketing and offers practical insights for the development of marketing strategies by sports clubs.
