The compaction control method of national road substructure is using field density test to determine the relative compaction and plate bearing test to check the load bearing capacity. However, these two tests digitize a construction site manager's judgment based on his experience, so mechanical basis is weak. Resilient modulus method, which is recently being used to resolve such problem, is evaluated as a rational design method of pavement structure that can rationally reflect the stress-strain state of pavement materials that is caused by the condition of load repetition of vehicle load. However, the method of measuring the resilient modulus is difficult and lengthy, and it has many problems. To replace it, light falling weight test is recently being proposed as a simple test method. Therefore, this research uses dynamic plate loading test, which quickly and simply measures the elastic modulus of the subgrade and sub-base construction and site of maintenance, to judge the possibility of compaction control of the stratum under the road, and it proposes relation formula by analyzing the result of static load test.
In the present study, numerical analysis was performed for hydrodynamic motion and structural performance on four different concrete floating structures, which have same cross-section but different length. The hydrodynamic analysis of floating structures is carried out using ANSYS AQWA with the different 34 wave load on regular wave period from three seconds to ten seconds in 35 m water depth. In order to evaluate structural performance of floating structures under the critical wave load which obtained from hydrodynamic analysis. The integrated analysis is also carried out through the mapping method, which can directly connect the wave-induced hydraulic pressure obtained form ANSYS AQWA to Finite Element Model in ANSYS Mechanical. As a results of this study, the hydrodynamic motion of floating structures is decreased as the length of structure increased. It means that the effect of wave-structure interaction is strongly dependent on the relationship between a wave period and a length of structure. Moreover, it is found that tension stress on bottom slab of floating structure is occurred by the critical wave load, the sectional force is not influenced by length of a structure.
This study fabricated a low-voltage 10 circuit distribution board based on the KEMC (Korea Electrical Manufacturers Cooperative) 2102-610 standard and performed a characteristics assessment of the developed 10 circuit distribution board to secure product stability. The developed 10 circuit distribution board is designed to have the characteristics of insulation materials, as well as resistance to corrosion ultraviolet radiation and mechanical impact. The developed distribution board is fabricated to have an appropriate protection class of enclosure, electric shock prevention and protection circuits, switchgear and its components, internal electrical circuits and connectors, external conduct terminal, insulation characteristics, temperature rise test, heat resistance, etc. The developed 10 circuit distribution board consists of a single phase circuit and 3-phase circuits. It is possible to measure in real time the leakage current generated from the load distribution line by installing a sensor module at the load side of each of the branched switchgears. In addition, it is possible to increase a circuit according to the use and purpose of the load and to also manage and check the load in real time. Temperature rise tests were performed on the developed 10 circuit distribution board at 18 places including the inlet connection, main circuit and distribution circuit bus bars and bus bar supports, etc. The highest temperature of $65.3^{\circ}C$ was measured at the R-Phase of the connection of the MCCB power supply for the branch circuit bus bar and a temperature rise of $61.6^{\circ}C$ was measured at the T-Phase of the load side. When applying thermal stress to an MCCB for 6 hours at $180^{\circ}C$ using a heat resistant experimental device, it was found that the actuator lever was transformed and moved in the tripped state.

Rock composition of the Hwangsang-dong Granite Standing Sculptured Buddha (Treasure No. 1122) in the Kumi City is biotite-hornblende granodiorite which consists of about 30 pieces of individual rock blocks of same compositions. However, the cap rocks is pebble-bearing coarse sandstone. Rock blocks of the Standing Buddha and surrounding out crops occur well developed several joint systems of $N25^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}W$ strike and nearly vertical (70 to $85^{\circ}SE$) dipping. Rock blocks of the Standing Buddha showed vertical, horizontal and oblique joints, and those blocks are well supported by individual blocks. However, the junction part of the blocks are under dangerous situation due 10 seriously mechanical and chemical weathering. Host rock of the Standing Buddha belongs to the HW grade, therefore mostly rock-forming minerals of the granodiorite Standing Buddha altered with clay and iron hydroxide minerals by mineralogical and chemical weathering. Near surface of the Standing Buddha show spore and mycelium of green algaes, and a joint plane alive with weeds. We suggest that if structural stability for the Standing Buddha remove essentially a unstable rock blocks from the main body, and the main body necessitate supporting by rock bolting method because of repeated unstability and minimizing stress to the rock blocks. For the opened joint planes, fractured surface and alive weeds will attempt to fill in a petro-epoxy, petro-filler and biochemical treatments for the algaes, and ground water curtain and wall seems to be necessary for water flow and diminishing humidity of the Standing Buddha.
During the compression molding process of the continuous fiber-reinforced polymeric composites, two main problems such as fiber-matrix separation and fiber orientation are produced by the difference of flow velocity. Molded parts are lead to be nonhomogeneous and anisotropic. As the mechanical property of the products are dependent on the separation and orientation, it is important to research the fiber mat structure and molding condition. If the fiber mat structure is changed by the increment of needling, the separation decreases and after compression molding the orientation is easily aligned. As it were, the compression moldability is good. But the defects as tears, thin thickness are produced in the products. Therefore, it is important to clarify the moldability in relation to the usage of products and the expenses of produce on the actual process. Therefore we must make the measurement methods that can define the moldability of products. In this research, the effects of the fiber mat structure(NP = 0, 5, 10, 25, 50 punches/$cm^2$) and the mold geometry($r_p$ = 1, 25, 50 mm) on the moldability of products were discussed. We investigated the case of one-dimensional flow in order to obtain the degree of nonhomogeneity and the fiber orientation function. In result, we could gain the correlation coefficient of the continuous fiber-reinforced polymeric composites. Also we experimented on the cup-type compression molding which was appeared the wrinkle on the flange part by the complex stress condition in order to gain the degree of nonhomogeneity and area ratio. In result, the moldability of products was expressed as the correlation coefficient and area ratio.
Distraction osteogenesis is a technique of lengthening bone including soft tissue by gradual separation of surgically divided bone surfaces. Although the biomechanical, histological, and ultrastructural changes associated with distraction osteogenesis have been widely described, the molecular mechanisms governing the formation of new bone in distracted bone segments remain largely unclear. However, such information has significant clinical implications because it may enable targeted therapeutic manipulations designed to accelerate osseous regeneration. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the expression of TGF-$\beta$1, IGF-I and bFGF in distraction osteogenesis according to different distraction rates in a rabbit's mandible. When twenty-four adult rabbits underwent open osteotomy between the premolar and mental foramen, an external bilateral distraction device was applied. Latency was allowed for five days before distraction. Three different distraction rates were 0.7 mm/day (A, n=8), 1.4 mm/day (B, n=8) and 2.4 mm/day (C, n=8). The distraction device was activated with the same distraction rhythms of twice a day until 4.9 mm (A & B group) and 8.4 mm (C group) length gains was achieved. The animals were sacrificed at postoperative 3, 7, 14 and 28 days. The bony specimens were stained with H&E for histologic examination, and RT-PCR analysis was done for the identification of the expression of TGF-$\beta$1, IGF-I and bFGF. The results obtained from this study were as follows : The 0.7 mm/day and 1.4 mm/day distraction rate groups were shown to improve regenerative bone formation on radiographic and histologic examination. Also, TGF-$\beta$1, IGF-I and bFGF expression increased in the 0.7 mm/day and 1.4 mm/day distraction rate groups. But the 2.4 mm/day distraction rate group specimen was different with adjacent normal bone and hardly expressed of growth factors. These findings suggest that improved new bone formation in the 0.7 mm/day and 1.4 mm/day distraction rates is associated with enhanced expression of TGF-$\beta$1, IGF-I and bFGF by mechanical tension stress. Additionally, the 0.7 mm/day and 1.4 mm/day distraction rate groups were significantly different from the 2.4 mm/day distraction rate group in the expression of growth factors. According to the above results, it seems possible to apply a distraction rate of up to 1.4 mm/day a day in rabbit's mandible. And further studies are needed to evaluate growth factors of TGF-$\beta$1 and IGF-I, which are excellent in expression.
Since ultra-high performance cementitious composites (UHPCC) not only represents high early age shrinkage strain due to its low water-to-binder ratio (W/B) and high fineness admixture usage but also reduces the cross section of structure from the higher mechanical properties, it generally has more shrinkage cracks from the restraints of formwork and reinforcing bars. In this study, free and restrained shrinkage experiments were conducted to evaluate the suitability of incorporating both expansive admixture (EA) and shrinkage reducing agent (SRA). The test results indi-cated that approximately 40~44% of free shrinkage strain was decreased. Also, the results showed that 35% and 47% of residual tensile stresses were relieved by synergetic effect of SRA and EA, respectively. Residual tensile stresses from ringtest were relaxed by approximately 61% and 64% of elastic shrinkage stresses due to SRA and EA, respectively, because of the tensile creep effect. Therefore, the creep effect should be considered to precisely estimate the restrained shrinkage behavior of concrete structures. The degree of restraint of UHPCC was approximately in the range of 0.78~0.85. The addition of combined EA and SRA showed minute influence on the degree of restraint. However, the effect decreased when thicker concrete ring was used. Tensile creep strains were measured and compared to the predicted values from 4-parametric prediction model considering time dependent restrained forces.
This study focuses on the categorization of the phenomenon of vegetative recruitment on riparian channels, so called, the phenomenon from "white river" to "green river", and proposes for the corresponding research direction. According to the literature review and research outputs obtained from the authors' previous research performed in Korea within a limited scope, the necessary and sufficient conditions for the recruitment and retrogression of riparian vegetation may be the mechanical disturbance (riverbed tractive stress), soil moisture (groundwater level, topography, composition of riverbed material, precipitation etc.), period of submergence, extreme weather, and nutrient inflow. In this study, two categories, one for the reduction in spring flood due to the change in spring precipitation pattern in unregulated rivers and the other for the increase in nutrient inflow into streams, both of which were partially proved, have been added in the categorization of the vegetative recruitment and retrogression on the riparian channels. In order to scientifically investigate further the phenomenon of the riparian vegetative recruitment and retrogression and develop the working riparian vegetative models, it is necessary to conduct a systematic nationwide survey on the "white to green" rivers, establishment of the categorization of the vegetation recruitment and retrogression based on the proof of those hypotheses and detailed categorization, development of the working mathematical models for the dynamic riparian vegetative recruitment and retrogression, and adaptive management for the river changes.

Dynamic compressive material properties at high strain rates is essential for improving the reliability of finite element analysis in dynamic environments, such as high-speed collisions and high-speed forming. In general, the dynamic compressive material properties for high strain rates can be obtained through SHPB equipment. In this study, SHPB equipment was used to acquire the dynamic compressive material properties to cope with the collision analysis of Woven tpye CFRP material, which is being recently applied to unmanned aerial vehicles. It is also used as a pulse shaper to secure a constant strain rate for materials with elastic-brittle properties and to improve the reliability of experimental data. In the case of CFRP material, since the anisotropic material has different mechanical properties for each direction, experiments were carried out by fabricating thickness and in-plane specimens. As a result of the SHPB test, in-plane specimens had difficulty in securing data reproducibility and reliability due to fracture of the specimens before reaching a constant strain rate region, whereas in the thickness specimens, the stress consistency of the specimens was excellent. The data reliability is high and a constant strain rate range can be obtained. Through finite element analysis using LS-dyna, it was confirmed that the data measured from the pressure rod were excessively predicted by the deformation of the specimen and the pressure rod.

Full-scale flexural testing of asymmetric H-shape hybrid composite beams was conducted in this study. In fabricating hybrid H-shape sections, high strength steels were utilized for the bottom flange while ordinary strength steels were used for the top flange and web. With adding a fully composite floor slab, a total of 8 hybrid composite beam specimens were tested. The primary objective was to develop the asymmetric hybrid H-shape composite beams with maximized flexural efficiency and investigate their flexural behavior. Not all the hybrid composite specimens tested in this study exhibited the plastic moment and reasonable deformability. In the specimens with high-strength bottom flange, the longitudinal shear crack of the slab along the beam axis often preceded the development of beam plastic moment, although the slab was designed as fully composite. The mechanical reason for this unexpected behavior is discussed. It is emphasized that the longitudinal shear strength of composite slab should be checked in designing hybrid composite beams utilizing high strength steels like in this study.
