  • In this paper, power distribution module for car relay control with Control area network is developed. This module is called Intelligent power distribution module because it has microprossor which can communicate with other electric module such as ECU and Body control module and also has self-diagonasis function. The developed IPDM module is tested on vehicle and the good performance has been achieved.

  • In this paper, we design and implement the DC characteristic measurement system for semiconductor devices. The proposed system is composed of 4 SMU(Source and Measure Unit) channels. Various efforts in hardware and software have been made to reduce the measurement errors. Internal and external sources of errors in measurement system especially in pA range measurement have been identified and removed. Also, various digital signal processing techniques are developed. Calibration is executed under the control of microprocessor periodically. Experimental results show that the implemented system can measure the DC characteristic of semiconductor devices with less than 0.2% error in various voltage and current source/measurement range.

  • Inspection and shape measurement of three-dimensional objects are widely needed in industries for quality monitoring and control. Recently the shape measurement using interferometric principle is found to be a successful methodology among other visual or optical technologies. Especially, the measuring method using wavelength scanning interferometer(WSI) has a great advantage in comparison with other conventional jnterferometric methods in that the absolute distance from the reference surface can be directly obtained from the amount of jnterferometric phase change. However, the measurement methods using WSI proposed by other researchers have low measurement resolution so far because they can't measure fractional phase change. To avoid this shortcoming we propose a new algorithm in this paper, which can obtain a small amount of even fractional phase change by sinusoidal function fitting. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed sinusoidal function fitting algorithm, a series of measuring experiments are conducted for discontinuously shaped specimens which have various height. The proposed algorithm shows much more enhanced measurement resolution than other existing conventional algorithms such as zero crossing algorithm and Fourier transform algorithm.

조명제어시스템 경제적인 실적확인 기법 연구 (Study on Economical M&V Methoodology for the Lighting Control System)

  • Although the domestic electric power consumption of lighting have shared 20${\sim}$30 % of the national electric power consumption, the spread of lighting control system which can reduce the electric power consumption have been insignificant. The government have set the demonstration project and given the incentive to promote the spread of lighting control system since 2008. The M&V (Measurement and Verification) methodology for lighting control system have not been set yet in our country, but the direct measurement was suggested in US. The direct measurement methodology can increase the accuracy of measurement, but it cost much money to burden a customer. This study have suggested a new M&V methodology which cost low and is simple relatively. I had measured the amount of electric consumption through both the direct measurement and the new M&V program computation, and have analyzed the deviation. The amount of electric consumption measured by the new M&V program computation have agreed with one by the direct measurement within the error range of the instrumentation in case of lab scale test, and the 4${\sim}$8 % deviation have existed in case of field evaluation.

Distance Measurement System using A Stereo Camera and Radial Pattern Target for Automatic Berthing Control

  • In this paper, we propose a distance measurement system for automatic berthing control using a stereo camera mounted on a rotation control device, and a radial pattern target. Automatically controlling the position and attitude of a ship aims to prevent maritime accidents due to human error. Our goal is to measure the relative distance between a ship and an onshore or offshore target for berthing. Therefore, the distance should be continuously measured while tracking a fixed point on a target. To this end, we developed a stereo camerabased distance measurement system that satisfied these requirements. This paper describes the structure and principle of the measurement system. We validate the distance error for target incline due to the relative position and attitude between a camera and a target in miniature scale. In addition, the findings of an experiment in an outdoor environment demonstrate that the proposed measurement system has accuracy within 1 m at a range of 20-100 m which is the acceptable accuracy for automatic berthing.

다수의 계수구역간의 검사체적을 이용한 소형 세포농도센서 (Micro Cell Counter Using a Fixed Control Volume Between Double Electrical Sensing Zones)

  • We present a novel flow-rate independent cell counter using a fixed control volume between double electrical sensing zones. The previous device based on the single electrical cell sensing in a given flow-rate requires an accurate fluid volume measurement or precision flow rate control. The present cell counter, however, offers the flow-rate independent method for the cell concentration measurement with counting cells in a fixed control volume of $22.9{\pm}0.98{\mu}{\ell}$. In the experimental study, using the RBC (Red Blood Cell), we have compared the measured RBC concentrations from the fabricated devices with those from Hemacytometer. The previous and present devices show the maximum errors of $20.3\%\;and\;16.1\%$, which are in the measurement error range of Hemacytometer (about $20\%$). The present device also shows the flow-rate independent performance at the constant flow-rates ($5{\mu}{\ell}/min$ and $10{\mu}{\ell}/min$) and the varying flow-rate (4, 2, and $4{\mu}{\ell}/min$). Therefore, we demonstrate that the present cell counter is a simple and automated method for the cell concentration measurement without requiring an accurate fluid measurement and precision flow-rate control.

  • This paper deals with the algorithm development that inspects defects such as Bright Defect Dots, Dark Defect Dots, and Line Defect caused by the process of LCD(Liquid Crystal Display). While most of LCD production process is automated, the inspection of LCD panel and its appearance depends on manual process. So, the quality of the inspection is affected by the condition of worker. Especially, the more LCD size increases, the more the worker feels fatigued, which causes the probability of miss judgement. So, the automated inspection is required to manage the consistent quality of the product and reduce the production costs. In this paper, to solve these problems, we developed the imaging processing algorithm to inspect the defects in captured image of LCD. Experimental results reveal that we can recognize various types of defect of LCD with good accuracy and high speed.

  • This paper deals with the algorithm development that inspects defects such as Lens Focus, Focus check, Black Defect, Dark Defect, Dim Defect, Color Defect, and Line Defect, Angle Defect, IrisAgc Defect caused by the process of 2M Class Compact Camera Module (CCM). Domestic market was majorly comprised of VGA(0.3 million pixel) market. But in the middle of year 2004, camera phone with Mega Pixel has appeared, and it is estimated that the camera phone with Mega Pixel will take up to 28% of total phone sales if it is released in the end of year 2004. Since the inspection of finished products is done manually, it is major obstacle in production increment In this paper, to solve these problems, we developed the imaging processing algorithm to inspect the defects in captured image of assembled CCM. The performances of the developed inspection system and we can recognize various types of defect of CCM modules with good accuracy and high speed

실외 주행환경을 고려한 카메라 기반의 RTGC 위치계측시스템 개발 (Development of a Camera-based Position Measurement System for the RTGC with Environment Conditions)

  • This paper describes a camera-based position measurement system for automatic tracking control of a rubber Tired Gantry Crane (RTGC). An automatic tracking control of RTGC depends on the ability to measure its displacement and angle from a guide line that the RTGC has to follow. The measurement system proposed in this paper is composed of a camera and a PC that are mounted on the right upper between front and rear tires of the RTGC's side. The measurement accuracy of the system is affected by disturbances such as cracks and stains of the guide line, shadows, and halation from the light fluctuation. To overcome the disturbances, both side edges of the guide line are detected as two straight lines from an input image taken by the camera, and parameters of the straight lines are determined by using Hough transform. The displacement and angle of the RTGC from the guide line can be obtained from these parameters with the robustness against the disturbances. From the experiments with the disturbances, we found the accurate displacement and the angle from the guide line that have the standard deviations of 0.95 pixels and 0.22 degrees, respectively.

카메라를 이용한 휴대폰 곡면유리의 높이측정 (Height Measurement of Cellphone Curved Glass using Camera)

  • This paper describes the design of a cellphone curved glass measuring device using by camera. The measuring device was composed of two camera, two backlight system, a body and so on, and the program was made for a camera calibration and noise removal, and also the program was made for height measurement of a cellphone curved glass using by subpixel algorism. And then a new technique for measuring the height of the cell phone curved glass was proposed. The characteristics test of height measurement of gage blocks and cell phone curved glasses was carried out, the error of the height measurement of gage block is less than ${\pm}0.005$ and the error of the height measurement of the cell phone curved glasses is less than ${\pm}0.005$. Thus it thought that the designed cellphone curved glass measuring device and the new technique for measuring the height was used to measure the height of the cellphone curved glass.
