The purpose of this paper is to provide two levels of conceptualization of a category such as an absolute category in semantic level and a relative category in pragmatic level on the basis of Aristotelian category theory and prototype category theory. I do not intend to criticize classical category theory and prototype category theory but to show that these two types of category are applied to the different world. Aristotelian categorization is an absolute category because it is based on the possible world called the meta-world and it has an absolute truth value. The members of an absolute category is presented as a set. There is a clear boundary between members and non-members because they are distinguished by the absolute criteria An absolute category is semantic conceptualization. This absolute category is changed into a relative category when it is applied in the real world. A relative category which corresponds to a prototype category is based on the real world called the object world and it has a relative truth value. Here individuals are categorized by the cognition and perception of human beings. A relative category is pragmatic conceptualization. In conclusion, while classical categories which are called absolute categories represent sentence meaning, prototype categories which are called relative categories represent utterance meaning.

Light is the essential and symbolical entity In architecture. But the meaning of light has been changed as time has passed, and today it has plural meaning and more sophisticated role. Since 1960's 'Light and Space Art' has accomplished many successful experiments through light and space as artistic media, and they have changed the understanding of light from the electrical source to the phenomenological energy and sensual medium. And also the role of space in their works takes the more human-oriented field constituted from the coherent relationship of internal parts including human being. Light could be 'an object' and 'material' under 'Light and Space Art' artists' persistent efforts. They revealed another realm of spatial experiences such as extension-the metaphysical space, heterogeneous relationship-the complex space, and dematerialization-the illusionary space. The secondary and inclusive effects by 'Light and Space Art' can be found In the phenomenological architecture, the post-modern architecture, and the immaterial tendency of contemporary architecture. However, the more close connections between 'Light and Space Art' and the specific architectures are still left as a portion aside for the further research.

In late Victorian England, a "pervert" meant two things. One meaning designated a person who "turned" or converted from one sect of Christianity to another. In Wilde's time this referred specifically to converts from the established state Church of England to the transnational Roman Catholic Church. The other, newer meaning designated someone who turned from conventional heterosexual relations to a (as yet unnamed) homosexual orientation. In the context of the late Victorian empire, both were considered dangerous. The rising social and political influence of Roman Catholicism appeared threatening as a transnational Church invading a national one. For the Anglican Church of England, this crisis was played out what came to be known as the Oxford Movement, still influential during Wilde's time as a student there from 1874 to 1878. What is interesting in Wilde's life, as in his work, is the way he himself played with the dangerous transgressions inherent in being a "pervert." Sexually, he was converted to same-sex love while still a married man. In terms of religion, he remained fascinated with Catholicism, allegedly converting on his death-bed. But what is provocative is way that Wilde used one "perversion" to play into another: so that in such works as The Picture of Dorian Gray and Salome, his version of a kind of anti-Catholic Catholicism becomes a site of sexual desire, and sexual desire expression for that kind of spirituality, which, as unrequited longing, can ultimately n find no object adequate to its imagination.

영어의 부정 스트리핑 구문은 접속사 but, 부사 not, 그리고 하나의 구성성분 NP로 구성되어있다. 해당 구문은 통사적으로는 불완전한 문장처럼 보이지만 의미적으로는 완전한 해석을 전달하며 특히, 이 구문은 중의적인 해석을 가질 수도 있기 때문에 적절한 접근방법으로 의미부를 분석하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 부정 스트리핑 구문의 통사적 구문생성과 중의성 해소를 위해 직접 해석 접근법(Direct Interpretation Approach)을 기반으로 한 구문 규칙을 제안하고자 한다. 이 규칙은 이전의 연구들이 해결하지 못하는 문제점을 설명할 수 있으며, 통사, 의미, 화용론 등 다양한 특성을 설명해준다.

This study examines the morphological and expressive aspects of fashion and its connection to music at Korean music festivals. The research involves a theoretical review and a case study analyzing fashion and music at rock, EDM, hip-hop, and jazz festivals in Korea from 2019 to 2023. The process of selecting fashion cases was reviewed by experts in the field of fashion, and expert focus group interviews were used. The study found that while fashion and music differ in terms of their fundamental morphological components of sensory media, they share features in terms of sensory harmony between their components. In terms of expressive aspects of fashion, it was found that the subject and object of expression are the same for the artist and for the audience. Both music and fashion have sensory transmission and communication between the subject and the audience, and both transmit personal and social meaning. Using these commonalities as indicators of relevance, a relevance evaluation was conducted. As a result of the evaluation, popular music festival fashion and music were interpreted as having a high degree of relevance in terms of expressing emotions and tastes, providing a sense of belonging to a community, and conveying cultural meaning.

본 연구에서는 조선후기 한양의 세시풍습과 명승을 기록한 "경도잡지(京都雜誌)"에 꽃놀이 명소로 등장하는 네 곳-필운대(弼雲臺), 북둔(北屯), 동대문 밖, 서대문의 천연정(天然亭) 등-을 대상으로 한다. 관련 문헌기록을 통해 각 명소들이 구체적으로 어떠한 경관요소들로 구성되고 방문객에게 어떻게 체험되었는지를 살펴보았다. 경관특성은 물경(物境), 정경(情境), 체험행위로 세분하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 대표적인 물경은 꽃이었으며, 꽃과 함께 술, 술잔, 술병 등의 음주와 관련된 물리적인 요소와 시 짓는 모임인 시회를 즐기는 장면도 등장하였다. 또한 이용 주체들이 물경에 의미를 부여한 정경의 도출을 통해 주체들이 공간에 성대해 갖는 의미를 해석하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 본 꽃놀이 명소의 의미로는 첫째, 풍류를 향유하기 위한 공간이라는 점이다. 문인들이 모여 꽃을 구경하고 술을 마시며 시회를 여는 등 각 공간들을 문화 창작의 거점으로 활용되었다. 둘째, 주체들이 각 장소에서 묘사한 정경에서 나타나듯, 방문객들은 공감각적인 완상을 통해 경관을 즐기는 것을 확인하였다. 이로써 꽃놀이 명소는 단지 꽃을 감상하는 것 이상의 감각적 체험의 장이었음을 확인하였다. 전통적인 꽃놀이 명소의 경관특성을 도출한 본 연구는 우리 선조들이 여가의 한 형태로 즐긴 꽃놀이와 그 공간이 갖는 의미를 추적하고 한국적인 꽃놀이 명소를 계획함에 있어 기초적인 자료가 될 것이라 판단한다.

멀티미디어 데이터의 활용가치가 높아짐에 따라 멀티미디어 정보의 의미적인 인식과 검색 방법에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 비디오 내 이벤트에 대한 객체 움직임 요소간의 의미표현을 위해 모션 온톨로지(Motion Ontology)를 구축하고 적용한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 워드넷(WordNet)내 동사어휘들 중 장소 이동이나 방향등과 같이 움직임을 잘 표현하는 동사들에 대해 분류하여 계층구조로 표현하고, 또한 이를 OWL/RDF(S)로 작성한다. 이는 온톨로지(Ontology)의 IS-A관계와 동의어관계가 가진 특징을 이용한 추론을 위함이며, 온톨로지(Ontology)에 기반하여 비디오 데이터를 인덱싱함으로써, 의미적 표현을 가능하게 한다. 본 연구에서 비디오 데이터에 대하여 의미적 검색을 수행한 결과, 기존 키워드 기반 검색에 비해 정확률 측면에서 약 10% 정도 향상되었다.

Exaggeration is to express an object or a situation in an excessive way. As the desire for aesthetic expression grows greater today, we tended to focus on the exaggerative expression as a means to acquire other's attention and praise. Also people more actively express their own intention or opinion in an exaggerated manner. The purpose of this study is to identify the social and cultural functions of modern fashion via exaggerative expression, one of the formative characteristics, and its meaning. To do so, the exaggerative features of modern fashion have been analyzed, and the social and cultural meaning of those have been examined through the background of the times and aesthetic sense. The formative form in the exaggerative expression shown in the modern fashion was classified into a body priority type emphasizing woman's body contour, a body disregarded type shown oversized silhouette regardless of body contour and a body distorted type expressing free and diverse form in various shapes of asymmetry and imbalance. The symbolic meanings of those include the changing of the body consciousness and the notions of feminity, and the desire fur formative and playable expression. The exaggeration of the costume in history meant aesthetic value of the woman's body in the society led by men. However, the exaggerative expression shown in the modern fashion is a method to express more actively, as compared with the costume in the past.

The objective of this article is to examine the possibility of 'story-telling' as united concept of causality and subjectivity through sequence combination, and the 'similarity' between object and image in fashion photographs making diversity of meanings. To analyze and investigate the research, as evidential data this paper used the photos of Steven Meisel from 2002 till 2007 Vogue published in Korea, U.S, and Italy, as well as other visual data like graphic collections, catalogs, art-related data and internet data. This research runs both theoretical and positive investigations to suggest the function of story-telling in the Process of opened-communicative roles of fashion photos. Thus this paper investigated Steven Meisel's storytelling in his fashion photos; short moment of event, continuity of time, compound of sequence, and complexity of viewpoint. This paper also studied the aesthetic characteristics of Steven Meisel's fashion photos as categories of overlapped meaning, arbitrariness of interpretation, exclusivity of message, and decoding. The research result suggests that clothing not only includes current age's value but also among social constitutions it includes multilateral characteristics. Ultimately this paper is also making meaning alive by cutting off the chain of 'firm' meanings of fashion photo. That seems like opening the opportunity for correctly understanding fashion's meaning which has the aspects of ambivalence of changing meanings and values by the motivation of context and text.

Most of the furniture in the past was dedicated to its original use such as storage and accommodation of articles or sitting tools, but the concept of furniture in contemporary indoor spaces is gradually increasing in its meaning while exchanging close impacts with other spatial components. Indeed, in contemporary furniture, a component other than furniture constituting a space would sometimes serve the common roles of furniture or sometimes furniture would include all indoor objects used to make people's living more convenient. This study reviewed the meaning of furniture and changes in its roles in contemporary indoor spaces and summarized the characteristics presenting a few examples. First, in contemporary indoor spaces, furniture as an independent object does not having a meaning any more. The fusion of functions with other components constituting indoor spaces is the most important characteristics in contemporary furniture and it has been already attempted in diverse ways through fusion with buildings surpassing fusion with other pieces of furniture or electric home appliances. Second, the arrangement conforming to the roles required by spaces and diverse forms of attempts are essential. Since furniture is an item the most closely related to human residential life, studies on human behaviors in spaces must precede. The efforts to enhance work efficiencies and used limited spaces more efficiently will be continued and explorations of new forms should be also continued. Third, with regards to manufacturing methods, new technologies should be applied more widely and furniture materials must be diversified through the use of new materials including not only cutting-edge new materials but also all the materials that can be applied to furniture such as conventional natural materials and environment friendly materials that can be recycled.
