If a ship diesel engine is operated by consolidated control with Controllable Pitch Propeller(CPP), the minimum fuel consumption is achieved together with the demanded ship speed. For this, it is necessary that the ship is operated on the ideal operating line which satisfies the minimum fuel consumption and that the pitch angle of CPP and throtle valve angle are controlled simultaneously. In this point of view, this paper presents a controller design method for a ship propulsion system with CPP based on the decoupling control theory. To do this, Linear Matrix Inequality(LMI) approach is introduced for the control system to satisfy the given $H_\infty$ control performance and robust stability in the presence of physical parameter perturbations. The validity and applicability of this approach are illustrated by simulation in the all operating ranges.

In this paper, a saturated LQR controller considering control input's saturation for stable linear time-invariant systems with single control input is studied. Based on Lyapunov stability, two linear matrix inequality sufficient existence conditions for this controller are presented. Through numerical simulations for 2DOF vibrating system, it is confirmed that the saturated LQR controller is stable in the presence of control input's saturation and it is also shown that this controller can be applied to vibrating system practically.
We deal with robust control problem for singularly perturbed linear systems with norm-bounded structured uncertainty under state constraints. We assume that the norm-bounded uncertainty is composed of repeated scalar-block and full-block forms. In the structured uncertainty, repeated scalar block forms account for uncertain physical parameter value and full-block forms may be some unknown nonlinear dynamics. In order deal with uncertainty and state constraints, we use LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality). The original problem is decomposed into two well behaved reduced order problems. Shinc two LMI problems are completely independent, each solution can be computed simultaneously and work in parallel.
The design method of H$\infty$ filter for discrete-time uncertain linear systems with multiple state delays is investigated. The uncertain parameters are assumed to be unknown but belonging to known convex compact set of polytope type less conservative than norm bounded parameter uncertainty. The modified H$\infty$ performance measure is introduced to consider the initial states values which affect the performance of filter. The objective is to design a stable H$\infty$ filter guaranteeing asymptotic stability of filtering error dynamics and minimizing H$\infty$ norm bound. The sufficient condition for the existence of filter and the filter design method are established by LMI (linear matrix inequality) approach.
A gain-scheduled autopilot design for a bank-to-turn (BTT) missile is developed by using the Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) optimization technique and a state-space lineal interpolation method. The missile dynamics are brought to a quasilinear parameter varying (quasi-LPV) form. Robust linear control design method is used to obtain state feedback controllers for the LPV systems with exogenous disturbances at the frozen values of the scheduling parameters. Two gam-scheduled controllers for the pitch axis and the yaw/roll axis are constructed by linearly interpolating the robust state-feedback gains. The designed controller is applied to a nonlinear six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) simulations.

This paper addresses the control problem of cyber-physical systems under controller attack. A novel discontinuous Lyapunov functionals are employed to fully utilize sampled-data pattern which characteristic is commonly appeared in cyber-physical systems. By considering the limited resource of networks, cyber-attacks on the controller are considered randomly occurring and are described as an attack function which is nonlinear but assumed to be satisfying Lipschitz condition. Novel criteria for designing controller with robustness for cyber-attacks are developed in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). Finally, a numerical example is given to prove the usefulness of the proposed method.
Due to the influence of nonlinearity and time-variation, it is difficult to establish an accurate model of concrete frame structures that adopt active controllers. Fuzzy theory is a relatively appropriate method but susceptible to human subjective experience to decrease the performance. This paper proposes a novel artificial intelligence based EBA (Evolved Bat Algorithm) controller with machine learning matched membership functions in the complex nonlinear system. The proposed affine transformed membership functions are adopted and stabilization and performance criterion of the closed-loop fuzzy systems are obtained through a new parametrized linear matrix inequality which is rearranged by machine learning affine matched membership functions. The trajectory of the closed-loop dithered system and that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system can be made as close as desired. This enables us to get a rigorous prediction of stability of the closed-loop dithered system by establishing that of the closed-loop fuzzy relaxed system.
In this research, a neural network (NN) method was developed, which combines H-infinity and fuzzy control for the purpose of stabilization and stability analysis of nonlinear systems. The H-infinity criterion is derived from the Lyapunov fuzzy method, and it is defined as a fuzzy combination of quadratic Lyapunov functions. Based on the stability criterion, the nonlinear system is guaranteed to be stable, so it is transformed to be a linear matrix inequality (LMI) problem. Since the demo active vibration control system to the tuning of the algorithm sequence developed a controller in a manner, it could effectively improve the control performance, by reducing the wind's excitation configuration in response to increase in the cost efficiency, and the control actuator.
Let $\vec{p}{\in}(0,\;1]^n$ be an n-dimensional vector and A a dilation. Let $H^{\vec{p}}_A(\mathbb{R}^n)$ denote the anisotropic mixed-norm Hardy space defined via the radial maximal function. Using the known atomic characterization of $H^{\vec{p}}_A(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and establishing a uniform estimate for corresponding atoms, the authors prove that the Fourier transform of $f{\in}H^{\vec{p}}_A(\mathbb{R}^n)$ coincides with a continuous function F on ℝn in the sense of tempered distributions. Moreover, the function F can be controlled pointwisely by the product of the Hardy space norm of f and a step function with respect to the transpose matrix of A. As applications, the authors obtain a higher order of convergence for the function F at the origin, and an analogue of Hardy-Littlewood inequalities in the present setting of $H^{\vec{p}}_A(\mathbb{R}^n)$.
In our research, we have proposed a solid solution for aviation analysis which can ensure the asymptotic stability of coupled nonlinear plants, according to the theoretical solutions and demonstrated method. Because this solution employed the scheme of specific novel theorem of control, the controllers are artificially combined by the parallel distribution computation to have a feasible solution given the random coupled systems with aviation stability analysis. Therefore, we empathize and manually derive the results which shows the utilized lemma and criterion are believed effective and efficient for aircraft structural analysis of composite and nonlinear scenarios. To be fair, the experiment by numerical computation and calculations were explained the perfectness of the methodology we provided in the research.
