현재의 지식기반 사회에서 교사의 전문성 신장은 끊임없이 요구되고 있는 바 이는 임용전의 교육만이 아니라 임용 후 현직 교육의 중요성을 대두시킨다. 이러한 중요성 때문에 많은 현직 교육에 대한 연구가 있어왔지만 대부분의 연구가 설문지 분석을 통한 양적 연구에 머물고, 특히 수학과 교과직무연수만의 문제점을 찾으려는 시도는 미약하였다. 이에 이 연구에서는 질적 연구 방법인 심층 면담을 통하여 ,수학과 교과직무연수의 실태를 알아보고 문제점과 개선 방향을 찾아보고자 하였다. 그 결과 수학과 교과직무연수의 호응도가 낮은 것을 발견하고 그 이유를 분석하였으며 더불어 연수 결과의 현장 적용 실태와 문제점 및 이러한 문제점들의 개선방향을 모색하여 제시하였다.

The mathematics education community is seeking to change a teacher-centered class-room culture to a student-centered culture. However, the real transition is not easy, even for teachers who are eager and willing to teach differently. The challenge for teachers is to use the social structure of the classrooms to nurture students' development toward mathematical ways of thinking and communicating as well as their under-standing of mathematical concepts and processes. By introducing an elementary teacher's teaching practice and professional develop-ment along with her classroom episodes, this paper is to make strides toward an enriched understanding of the culture of the elementary mathematics classrooms in which students may have a lot of opportunities to develop conceptual under standing and math-ematical disposition. This paper first provides a detailed description of the classroom flow in terms of general social norms and sociomathematical norms in order to explore how the teacher and the students have established such a student-centered math-ematics microculture. This paper then analyzes the teacher's teaching approach and professional development.

Teaching and learning mathematics in a classroom setting is based on the interactions between the teacher and her students. Using classroom observations and interviews of students and the teacher, this research examines a first-year teacher and her students' interactions in the mathematics classroom. In this mathematics classroom, teacher and students interaction had inconsistency between mathematical topics and non-mathematical topics. For non-mathematical topics, their interactions were very active but for mathematical topics their interactions were very limited. This paper ends with raising questions for future research and calling for the opportunities for first-year teachers to reflect on their interactions with their students, in particular about mathematical topics.

The article aims to present findings of a study which has examined the ability of elementary school mathematics teachers and of teacher-trainees in other disciplines to solve irregular challenging problems of sequences in general rather than numerical sequences only. The findings show that mathematics teachers succeed to cope with unusual assignments when the requirements of the problems presented to them are analogous to irregular problems. However, when the problems require a change in the thinking procedure in the direction of creative thinking, there is a considerable decrease in performance. Another finding shows that, although teacher-trainees succeed less in solving the presented problems, they give incorrect solutions which do indicate creative thinking. An inevitable conclusion based on the research findings is that teacher training institutions should enhance and reinforce multi-directional. branching out and creative thinking competences.

The main purpose of this work is to propose programs of mathematics education and mathematics history courses for the department of mathematics education of teacher training universities. Foundation of Mathematics Education, Mathematics Teaching and Learning Theories, Mathematics Problem Solving, Analysis and Evaluation of Mathematics Teaching Materials and Mathematics History are discussed in this article.

In this study, we introduced the concept of ‘case-method’ which is the method to discuss about actual education with a concrete case. And we suggested that case-method need to be applied a program for mathematics teacher professional development. To assist this suggestion, we attempted to examine recent mathematics educational studies that is written by case-study and topics that is included in mathematics teacher educational program. After these examination, we pointed out that case-method with a educational case have not applied in teacher education program in korea. According to the suggestion in this study, we showed a concrete example of case-method. In this example, we set up three perspectives(on general theory of mathematics education, on contents of given case, on application given case to own class) to analysis given case and revealed several disscussion topics each perspective. Finally, we referred to the following research of this paper.

이 연구는 중학교 수학 교사의 수업 활동에 나타나는 교수법적 내용 지식이 어떻게 구성되어 있는지 알아보기 위한 것으로, 미국의 8학년 수학 교사의 수업 활동과 면담을 수집하고 분석한 사례 연구이다. 참여자인 수학 교사의 교수법적 내용 지식은 첫째, 각 개념과 주제들 간의 연계성, 다양한 형태의 문제 해결력, 그리고 교과서에 대한 이해 등을 포함한 수학 교과 내용 지식, 둘째, 수학의 특정 개념과 주제에 대한 학생들의 잘못된 생각과 일반적인 오류, 학생들이 느끼는 어려움과 혼동을 이해하는 학생들의 학습 과정에 대한 지식, 그리고 마지막으로 학생들의 동기 유발과 실제 상황에의 적용을 중시하는 교수학적 지식으로 이루어진 것으로 나타났다.

본 논문의 목적은 학습자 중심의 수학 수업에서에서의 교사의 발문에 대하여 분석을 하고 이런 발문이 학습자의 지식 구성에 어떤 영향을 주게 되는지를 알아보는데 있다. 이 연구를 위하여 의도된 학습자 중심의 초등학교의 나눗셈 관련 주제의 3차시수업을 계획하고 이 수업의 과정을 전사하여 수업 중에 나타나는 교사의 발문의 특성 및 학습자의 지식 구성에 주는 영향에 관하여 분석을 하였다. 연구의 결과 학습자 중심의 수학 수업에서의 교사의 발문은 학습자의 비형식적인 수학적 사고의 존중, 확산적 사고를 위한 열린 발문, 여러 단계의 집단에서의 활발한 토론을 위한 적절한 발문, 학급의 규범을 존중하는 발문을 하는 특성이 있었다. 수학 수업에서 교사의 발문은 학습자 중심의 수업에서 학습자의 수학적 사고력 촉진 및 수학에 대한 태도에도 영향을 주게 된다.

To develop the content and form of the teacher education program for mathematical excellence, we reviewed several teacher education programs. CGI is an excellent model for teacher education program for mathematical excellence. We developed the 12 teacher education programs based on mathematical tasks developed for the gifted children and have applied them to teacher education. It is not so difficult to develop more programs, because we have made a lot of tasks for the gifted in mathematics for 8 years. Wooden Die for Drinking Game which is one of 12 programs is introduced in this article.
