In this paper, we present the environment interface as a method of bringing the virtual environment in the interface to reality, and explain the experience of the virtual that can be sensed in the real environment. Expanded experience by discussing the transparency of the interface and interactivity that expands synesthesia as a condition for an interface to express virtual without distinction from the real environment, and establishing a discussion on the composition and inevitability of an environment interface that satisfies these conditions The environment interface is discussed as a tool for realizing the interface that extends from the real environment, the expansion of cognition into the environment by interaction, and the virtual for immersion into the environment due to these conditions.

웹에서 XML 데이터의 양이 많아짐에 따라 XML 질의 처리를 신속하게 해주는 기술이 필요하게 되었다. 이를 가능하게 해주는 것이 XML 질의 캐슁이다. 자주 제기되는 질의에 대하여 질의 결과를 캐쉬한 후 동일 질의에 재사용 함으로써 빠른 응답속도를 보장할 수 있다. 본 논문은 XML질의 캐슁 기법 중 캐쉬되는 데이터의 공간 부담을 줄일 수 있는 XML 뷰 인덱싱 기법에 관한 것으로, 뷰 인덱스의 생성 및 실체화 기법을 제안하고 구현 및 실험을 통한 성능 평가 결과를 기술한다.

The 1960s is a transitional era in the history of architecture. The Byker housing redevelopment project well reflects this situation, and is a good example of materialization of social pluralism and expressional needs of a community. Therefore it was investigated in order to see its meanings in the history of mass housing in the Western countries. The conclusions are as follows: It is the first large-scale project where the concept of user participation was sucessfully realized; It suggested various tools of desirable design methodology; It made a paradigmatic change from modernism to post-modernism in the history of contemporary mass housing projects.

웹 상의 데이터 교환 표준으로 XML이 등장한 이래 XML 데이터를 관계 DBMS에 저장하고 질의 처리를 수행하는 기법에 관한 연구가 활발히 수행되고 있다. 전통적인 데이터베이스에서처럼 단일 또는 복수개의 XML문서에 대한 XML 질의를 통해 XML 뷰를 정의할 수 있고 이는 질의 처리 성능 향상을 위해 웹 환경에서 실체화될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML 데이터를 관계 DBMS에 저장하였을 때 XML 질의의 결과를 실체뷰로 캐쉬하였다가 동일 질의가 반복될 때 캐쉬를 이용한 응답을 수행하기 위한 XML 뷰 실체화 모델을 세 가지 제시하고 비교, 평가한다.

현재의 정보검색 시스템에서 사용자는 관련 분야의 지식을 가지고 정확한 질의를 작성해야만 원하는 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 본 논문에서는 객체지향 시소러스에서의 참조 질의 조건 완화를 이용한 지능적인 질의 처리 기법을 제안한다. 참조 질의 조건 완화 기법은 객체지향 시소러스의 구조적인 특징을 이용하여 질의 조건을 일반화시킨다. 따라서 사용자는 정확한 질의를 제공하지 않아도 정확한 결과뿐만 아니라 유사하거나 관련 있는 정보를 얻을 수 있다.

In response to national and international regulations for resource circulation and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the automotive industry has tried to reuse scrap parts and defective products produced in the disposal or production stages as recycled resources. Attempts have been made to reach the target recycling rate by reducing the number of material types required for each part. Moreover, in order to achieve greenhouse gas reduction targets while maintaining the performance of existing products, lighter components are being developed. Existing products were 100% incinerated at the disposal stage, but the uni-materialized products were improved to be possible that it could be recycled 90% through scraps and the defective product in the pre-production and production stage. It also appears that the fuel efficiency improves through 56% lightweight compared to the existing product. In this paper, a preliminary assessment is conducted on the applicability of uni-materialized product development of car parts. The environmental impact values of existing products and developed prototypes are compared and analyzed through life cycle assessment.

Recently, many studies on query processing algorithms has been done for spatial networks, such as roads and railways, instead of Euclidean spaces, in order to efficiently support LBS(location-based service) and Telematics applications. However, both a closest pairs query and an e-distance join query require a very high cost in query processing because they can be answered by processing a set of POIs, instead of a single POI. Nevertheless, the query processing cost for closest pairs and e-distance join queries is rapidly increased as the number of k (or the length of radius) is increased. Therefore, we propose both a closest pairs query processing algorithm and an e-distance join query processing algorithm using a POI-based materialization technique so that we can process closest pairs and e-distance join queries in an efficient way. In addition, we show the retrieval efficiency of the proposed algorithms by making a performance comparison of the conventional algorithms.

Recently experimental class model is growingly recommended for mathematics instruction. Freudenthal(1973) points out the difficulties of learning probability and Fischebien suggested to teach probability more intuitively through games. However detailed explanations for such classes are not easy to find. This paper is to give more detailed materials for those lessons and to check its effectiveness. We give 6 topics of probability and statistics being taught in our middle school, such as histogram, concept of probability, probability calculations, expectations, standard deviations, and correlations and each of which is given along with the experimental materials to be used. We perform a trial of the methods and found some encouragement in the students' mathematical attitudes and interests but not in the achievements. We belive that the drawback of the achievement result is due to the short length of time of our experiments.

유니소재화(Uni-materialization)란 제품의 설계단계부터 유해물질 사용을 줄이고, 자원순환 효율성을 높이기 위해 재질 단일화 또는 단순화 하는 것을 말한다. 유니소재(Uni-material)는 재질의 수를 줄이거나 제품의 구조개선을 통해 자원관리 및 자원순환을 촉진하는 일련의 활동을 통칭하는 것으로 유니소재화는 국제환경규제를 선도하고, 친환경적, 지속가능성, 선순환 물질흐름이 가능한 혁신적인 개념으로서, 통합성(Unity), 범용성(Universalization), 독창성(Uniqueness)의 성격을 지닌다. 포장재산업에 있어서 유니소재화 제품은 서용 후 포장재가 재활용 공정을 저해하지 않고 포장재의 재활용을 통해 고부가가치의 재생 제품을 얻을 수 있도록 하는데 있으며 포장재의 기본 기능은 유지하면서 사용하는 포장 재질의 단순화 또는 단일 포장 재질 사용, 동일 재질의 포장재로 구성될 수 있도록 설계 단계에서 유니소재화를 고려한 것을 말한다. 지난 호에 이어 국제환경규제 기업지원센터(www.compass.or.kr)의 자료제공 아래, 포장재 산업에서의 유니소재화 사례를 재질단일화, 재질 단순화, 포장요서의 분리용이성 측면에서 사례별로 살펴보도록 한다.
