This study is to objectively deduce components of a public library culture and define a library culture. Thus, the study gathers the opinions and the experiences of the expertise in this specific area of a library culture. Furthermore, the study takes gathered informations and dates into consideration, to derive a measurement of final components, delphi technique. Through usage of Delphi technique, it allowed selected final components to operate a comparative analysis of the elements, which then it helps to measure each element's critical importance, identify priorities of each element by using a hierarchical decision making method. The major conclusions of this study are as follows. First, the study used a two-step delphi survey which was conducted on a panel of experts (Faculty of Library and Information Science (LIS) and the librarians), deduced the components of a library culture. In the primary survey, the study found 29 components (material culture 6, non-material culture 23). In the secondary survey, it deduced 21 components (material culture 3, non-material culture 18). Second, through comparative analysis, the prioritization of the public library culture components presented in following orders, , , and . The Most weighted values of each components were, of 'data usage and its method.'; of 'core values of librarianship'; of 'library ethical consciousness.' appeared as such.

For many years art libraries have been concerned about the problem resulting from the addition of exhibition catalogs to general art collection. Those who work or research in the art field agree that exhibition catalogs are great value, and in many cases, the essays and documentary material contained in these catalogs may be the only source of information on particular artists. This paper contains two purposes. One is to settle the exhibition catalog as a specific form of publication in the library. In theoretical aspect, this material is handled in definition, form, historical development and the position and specification. Another is to manage exhibition catalog in the library. In practical aspect, this material is handled in aquisition, classification, cataloging and use.

This study compare and analyzes recent school library standards in advanced countries including Britain, United States and Japan. In recent years, the use of BIM in domestic construction has been increasing, but it is used mainly for internal and external visualization rather than for BIM design including drawings. For this reason, several studies have highlighted the lack of libraries and economic problems for BIM design. In other words, for the most economically small domestic design offices, activating the BIM design is a negative factor because it is difficult to invest the necessary manpower and cost to produce and use the required BIM library. The BIM design can be more applicable if the library can be supplied economically, easily, and quickly. In this study, BIM library business model and consideration factors that can provide BIM library service economically, easily, and quickly by considering the existing building material selection task and BIM library are presented. The proposed business model will increase the number of suppliers of BIM libraries, which are lacking in Korea, and will enable an effective BIM design at low cost and effort. If a service that reflects the business model proposed in this study is made, an integrated database that can consistently share information in the design, construction, and maintenance stages will be constructed. This can monitor the changes in material and equipment information during the life cycle of the building. The database can be used to monitor any changes in material and equipment information throughout the life cycle of a building, so that it can be used as historical data for effective design and maintenance as well as for material and equipment upgrades.

The purpose of this study is to reveal how undergraduate students' computer literacy and library knowledge can affect their frequency of library material use and information literacy, and analyze the correlations between frequency of library material use and information literacy. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to students of 7 universities in 8 credit-given user education courses, and correlations with variables were analyzed through hypothesis testing. It was suggested that with strong support of university administration, user education should be taught by using more of scholarly library material.

The purpose of this study is to identify an acquisition material duplication rate among three academic libraries for developing an academic library network. Three academic libraries located in Gyonggi-do, Korea were selected for data collection. The acquisition lists in both 2000 and 2001 were compared and analyzed between two libraries respectively. The results show that the duplication rate is 0.4% in 2000 and 2.8% in 2001 between medium in libraries, and 1.33%, 1.11% in 2000 and 3.63%, 3.88% in 2001 between a big size library and medium size libraries. These tell us that a big library can get benefit from a library network with medium size libraries.

The purpose of this study is put emphasis on the importance of the library statistics. e. g., more than ten related current library statistics were inaccurated each other, so whole of statistic figures is not to be trusted. This research is make an attempt to more accurate information about library situations. Especially, with special reference to basic library statistics in the [Bulletin of National & College University libraries](Vol. 1-14, 1983-96, published by Council on National College & University Libraries), take the 24 major factors to compare and evaluate with 46 national and public university libraries. Analyzing 24 factors including 5 subjects. These subjects are as follows: 1) Total numbers of staffs with faculty members and students enrollment 2) Whole library collection of monographs and serial and publishcations. 3) Annual university budgets and library material expenditures. 4) Library facilities and building square measure. 5) Library service situation with circulation, inter-library loan/borrow and monograph D/B build up.

The purpose of this study is to identify the way of development of school library and construction of information system for school library. In order to identify the way, the school librarian recognition level of school library information system was analyzed, since the recognition level about the information system can affect the school library development.
