  • In this paper, the effects of the system parameters on the high cycle fatigue life based on structural dynamic analysis of a turbine blade are investigated. Conventional studies have forcused on the fatigue life of turbine blades with specific system parameters. However, each parameter has statistical deviation because of inhomogeneity of material property, tolerance, and operating conditions. Therefore a methodology that estimates the effects of system parameter on the fatigue lift deviation is demonstrated.

대.소조기변동에 따른 득량만내의 부유퇴적물의 변동 및 분포특성 (The Variations of SMC During Tidal Cycle in Deukryang Bay, Korea)

  • The temnoral variations of the suspended material concentration (SMC) during spring-neap tidal cycle was investigated at more than 30 stations in Deukryang Bay, Korea, in 1 and 23 July, 1992. The averaged total SMC in spring tide was two times more than those in neap tide. It can be explained that the strong tidal current in spring tide disturbed bottom waters and induced higher SMC in the bay. The areal distributions of SMC for the surface and the bottom layers in the bay shows much different patterns during spring and neap tidal cycle. We concluded that the vertical stratification intensity of water mass is important factor of the horizonatal distribution of SMC in the bay.

장시간 사용된 가스터빈 블레이드의 저주기피로 손상도 평가 (Evaluation of Low Cycle Fatigue Damage of Gas Turbine Blades Used for a Long Time)

  • Ni-base superalloy has excellent resistance to extreme environments such as high temperatures and high stresses and are used as materials for large gas turbines. In this paper, the specimens were taken from the blade that were used for a long time, and their life span was studied by microstructure analysis and avoidance of cursing. The microstructural analysis of the specimens was carried out using a OM and SEM to observe the coarsening, carbides on gamma prime. Low-cycle fatigue tests were performed on new material and airfoil of long time-used blade. The test was conducted under various deformation conditions and temperature conditions of $760^{\circ}C$ and $870^{\circ}C$. The low cycle fatigue test was carried out using the Coffin-Manson equation and the fatigue life was predicted. After the test, crack path and fracture surface were analyzed using SEM.

  • This study applied BIM(Building Information Modeling) technology for Long-life Housing within exterior, interior and building equipment. There has many changes and depression infill material after construction. Therefore to understand establishment of repair and replacement cycle is necessity. In addition, the method of classification is necessary because of construction equipment efficiency. On this study, we will find how can we manage them and establish the repair and repairment cycle by applying BIM technology.

  • Applying life cycle assessment in PCB (printed circuit board) production, most of environmental impacts come from outside-factory-process due to power generation, especially, and other raw material productions. Relatively, small environmental impacts of inside-factory-process make it difficult to compare them. To overcome this problem allocating environmental impacts of outside-factory-process on inside-factory-process. It helps to identify the environmental impacts of each process and find sources of environmental impacts. Also, life cycle assessment shows reduction of environmental impacts after copper recycling process.

  • Advanced Railway countries are developing technologies of production and management for low-carbon and green growth of their railway industry to hold a dominant position under post-Tokyo protocol regime through integrated approach which uses environmental quantitative analysis of train life cycle by using LCA(Life Cycle Assessment). On the contrary, Korea railroad industry attempts to make an environmental improvement only for using regenerative energy and improvement in operating energy consumption through adapting reduction weight of material technology and etc. without systematic environmental analysis approaches such as comparing and analyzing energy consumption as well as GHG emission in each life cycle stages of train. Therefore, In this paper, low-carbon management and comprehensive environmental improvement for sustainable development of Korea railway industry through analyzing the result of life cycle analysis in abroad are suggested.

A Study on the Estimation Method of the Environmental Load Intensity for Analyzing GHG Reduction Effect of Han-Ok

  • The Korean government recently has rediscovered the potential value of Han-Ok, the Korean traditional house, as an eco-friendly building. In order to objectively verify the environmental performance of Han-Ok as a low carbon green building, this paper suggests the analysis method of GHG emission load of Korean traditional house, based on Life Cycle Assessment, which is commonly abbreviated to "LCA". The environmental impacts caused by building construction and operation can be analyzed through the sum of input and output data from every phase. The study particularly describes the GHG reduction effect by using traditional building materials such as wood products, traditional clay roof tiles, and mud, which are mainly used to construct Han-Ok. Also the study proposes the method for comparative analysis of quantity of GHG emissions in building's entire life cycle so that the data can be used as a reliable basis to optimize the environmental performance of building.

  • This study was conducted to made a grid alloy (Pb-Ca-Sn-Al) which has a temporary composition ratio in order to improve the efficiency of lead acid batteries. The positive activity material made a 3BS(tri-basic lead sulfate; $3PbO{\cdot}PbSO_4{\cdot}H_2O$) by a low temperature curing and it evaluates the plate efficiency through the life cycle testing. The initial current capacity of low temperature curing plate was excellent but the life cycle was not good (S1). As for the S2 plate, however, the initial current capacity and the life cycle were superior.

  • Carbon-manganese steel A42 (French standards) is used in steam generator pipes of nuclear center and subject to low cycle fatigue (LCF) loads. In order to obtain the material LCF behavior, the tests are implemented in a hydraulic fatigue machine. The LCF plastic deformation and cyclic stress in macroscope have been influenced by the accumulated low cycle fatigue damage. The constitutive kinematic and isotropic hardening modeling is modified with coupling fatigue damage to describe the fatigue behavior. The improved model seems to be good agreement with the test results.

핵주기 공정에서의 이온성 액체 활용 기술 개요 (Overview on Ionic Liquid Application Technologies for Back-end Fuel Cycle Processes)

  • The ionic liquids are known to potential alternative solvents capable of replacing the commercial solvents in various processes including those in nuclear fuel cycle. As to the material, a number of studies have already reviewed the interesting results and addressed the spectroscopic as well as electrochemical behaviors of metal elements included in spent nuclear fuels. It has found that the important properties of metal ions in TBP dissolved ILs have led the development of alternative technologies to traditional solvent extraction processes. On the other hand, the electrochemical deposition of metal ions in ILs have been investigated for the application of the solvents to aqueous as well as to non-aqueous processes. In this work, a review on the application of ILs in nuclear fuel cycle is briefly presented to understand the notable researches on ILs focusing on aqueous processes.
