  • This research verified that how citizen feel about police protection for the mass rally and how they trust about police and private security. Mass rally is lots of people gathering therefore, each of member could feel fear for their safe. And that kind fear has effect on success of rally Therefore we researched that security level by police and private security and the result is that most of people think that the charge of security is police and they think police member need to be more for their security. And police should be involved for the rally security. But they don't think for the private security.

  • The purpose of this study is to renovate a closed school to a artist studio complex applying sustainable principles and methods. Through the case study, the principle and methods of sustainable renovation is investigated and following strategies are extracted as a frame of renovation. First, atrium space with thermal mass using existing wall is proposed as a public gathering space. Second, light shelves for effective lighting and shading device for protecting and allowing sun light is proposed to renovate existing classroom. Third, double skin system is proposed with reflection pool to activate heating and ventilation for passive solar as well as passive cooling. Finally, simulation programs such as energy-10 and Form-Z is used to confirm the validity of the sustainable design.

  • A conventional passive TMD is only effective when it is tuned properly. In many practical applications, inevitable off-tuning of a TMD occurs because the mass in a building floor could change by moving furnishings, people gathering, etc. When TMDs are off tuned, TMDs their effectiveness is sharply reduced. This paper discusses the application of MR-TMD, semi-active damper, for the reduction of floor vibrations due to machine and human movements. Here, the groundhook and skyhook algorithm are applied to a single degree of freedom system representative of building floors. And displacement and velocity base control method are applied to reduce t100r vibration. The performance of the STMD is compared to that of the equivalent passive TMD. Comparison of the results demonstrates the efficiency and robustness of STMD with respect to equivalent TMD.

  • The purpose of this study is the development and application of a high resolution ultrasonic wave imaging system to detect discontinuity plane in lab-scale rock models. This technique is based on received time series which capture the multiple reflections at interface. This study includes the fundamental aspects of ultrasonic wave propagation in rock mass, the selection of the optimal ultrasonic wave transducer, data gathering, a signal processing, imaging methods, and experiments. Experiments are carried out by the horizontal movement and rotation devices. Experimental studies show the discontinuity is well detected by the horizontal movement and rotation devices under water. Furthermore, the discontinuity and the cavity on the plaster block are identified by the rotation device. This study suggests that the new method may be an economical and effective tool for the detection of the discontinuity on rock mass.

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the role and meaning of smartphone in the context of daily life. This research focuses on the woman in twenties living in Hangzhou, China. As a result of research, smartphones affected the various parts of female users' daily lives such as consumption habits, ways of spending their times and ways of information gathering and communication. Nevertheless gender gap in smartphone use was much smaller than before in the quantitative aspect, women's use of smartphone in qualitative aspect such as the way of use and choice of contents showed previous gender role and gender value in society. Also, the results of the research, based on the case of China which emerges as a new IT powerhouse, have a significant implication for smartphone use in Korea.

  • 1. Objectives This research is to ascertain relations between the Sasang Constitution and characteristics of the eating attitudes, mental state, body composition, various examination results of obese middle-aged women. 2. Methods The subjects were 31 female patients whose BMI(Body Mass Index) was over $25kg/m^2$ and age was 35~55. It was analysed statistically the results of EAT(The Eating Attitudes Test), DEBQ(Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire), BDI(Beck Depression Inventory), STAI(State-Trait Anxiety Inventory), body composition analyser, biochemistry, abdominal ultrasonography, mammography which was surveyed from them. 3. Results and Conclusions 1)There was no relation between the Sasang Constitution and the eating attitudes, eating behaviors. But Taeumin got statistically lower score than Non-Taeumin in 23rd question for emotional eating and 33rd question for environmental eating of DEBQ 2)On the mental state, Taeumin got statistically lower score than Non-Taeumin in BDI, STAI-S 3)On the body composition, Taeumin got statistically higher value than Non-Taeumin in BMI. Soyangin got statistically lower value than Non-Soyangin in BMI, left upper limb water, soft lean mass, body water, trunk water. 4)On the various examinations, Taeumin got statistically lower value than Non-Taeumin in serum albumin. Soyangin got statistically lower value in BMI and higher frequency in gallstone, breast nodule than Non-Soyangin. 5)It was thought that Taeumin's obesity is managed by controling physical factor such as excessive 'Gathering Qi(吸聚之氣)' rather than eating attitudes and psychological factor.
