At present, the Korean electricity industry is undergoing restructuring and the Cost Based-generation Pool (CBP) market is being operated in preparation of a Two Way Bidding Pool (TWBP) market. In deregulated electricity industries, an integrated power market simulator is one of the tools that can be used by market participants and market operators analyzing market behaviors and studying market structures and market codes. In this regard, it is very important to develop an electricity market simulator that reflects market code providing a market operation mechanism. This paper presents the development of an integrated market simulator, called the Power Exchange Simulator (PEXSIM), which is designed to imitate the Korean electricity market considering the various features of the market operating mechanism such as uniform price and constrained on/off payment. The PEXSIM is developed in VB.NET and composed of five modules whose titles are M-SIM, P-SIM, O-SIM, T-SIM and G-SIM interfacing the Access database program. To verify the features and the performance of the PEXSIM, a small Two Way bidding market with a 12-bus system and a One Way bidding market for generator competition will be presented for the electricity market simulations using PEXSIM.

The situation of the global food markets has been being rapidly restructured and entering on a new phase by new dynamic and driving forces. The factors such as economic growth and income increase, high energy price, globalization, urbanization, and global climate change are transforming patterns of food consumption, production, and markets. The prices and markets of world food and energy are getting increasingly linked each other. Food and fuel are the global dilemma issues associated with the risk of diverting farmland or of consuming cereals for biofuel production in detriment of the cereals supply to the global food markets. An estimated 100 million tons of grain per year are being redirected from food to fuel. Therefore, the objectives of this study are as follows: Firstly, the study examines situations of the world food and energy resources, analyzes the trends of prices of the crude oil and biofuel, and formulates the food-energy links mechanism. Secondly, the study builds a simulation model, based on system dynamics approach, for not only analyzing the global cereals market and energy market but also forecasting the global production, consumption, and stock of those markets by 2030 in the future. The model of this study consists of four sectors, i.e., world population dynamics sector, global food market dynamics sector, global energy market dynamics sector, scenario sector of world economic growth and oil price.

Nuclear technology made a great contribution to the national economy and society by localization of nuclear power plant design, and by stabilization of electricity price, etc. It is very important to conduct the retrospective analysis for the nuclear technology contribution to the national economy and society, but it is more important to conduct prospective analysis for the nuclear technology contribution. The term "technology value" is often used in the prospective analysis to value the result of technology development. There are various definitions of technology value, but generally it means the increment of future revenue or the reduction of future cost by technology development. These technology valuation methods are widely used in various fields (information technology or energy technology, etc). The main objective of this research is to develop valuation methodology that represents unique characteristics of nuclear power technology. The valuation methodology that incorporates market share changes of generation technologies was developed. The technology valuation model which consists of five modules (electricity demand forecast module, technology development module, market share module, electricity generation module, total cost module) to incorporate market share changes of generation technologies was developed. The nuclear power technology value assessed by this technology valuation model was 3 times more than the value assessed by the conventional method. So it was confirmed that it is very important to incorporates market share changes of generation technologies. The valuation results of nuclear power technology in this study can be used as policy data for ensuring the benefits of nuclear power R&D (Research and Development) investment.

Mandatory shutdown policy of the juvenile protection act was enforced in December 2011 to prevent game addiction of the youth. However, the size of game market in Korea seems to be reduced significantly after implementation of the shutdown policy. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of current government regulations on Korean online game market. Based on empirical evidences and results from the related literature, we developed several causal loop diagrams(CLD) and system dynamics models. The CLD include sub-diagrams of innovation processes, user commitments, and operational costs. We conducted simulation analyses under various policy scenarios, adopting Normalized Unit Modelling By Elementary Relationship(NUMBER). Our results show that first, the impact of time regulation on the number of users is greater than the impact of content regulation. Second, the quality of domestic online game appears more elastic to regulations than the quality of foreign online game. The results of this study suggest that the deregulation in Korean online game market can narrow the gap in market outcomes between domestic and foreign online games. Some recommendations for future study are suggested.

The industrial ecosystem around the Internet services has been evolving since the Internet was first introduced. The Net Neutrality issue best represents the process of the evolution and presents an inevitable challenge that the industry should overcome. This paper deals with this structural change with the Two-Sided Market framework and provides a System Dynamics(SD) model to evaluate the economic implications of the net neutrality policy. In particular, our approach analyzes the policy impacts when two competing platforms (network providers) play a role of the platform in a typical two-sided market, which connects Content Providers(CPs) with users. Previous studies show that the indirect network externality between these two markets makes the entire system tip to one platform. When the multi-homing in the CP market is allowed as in our model, however, their argument may lose its validity. To examine the system behavior, conducted here is SD simulations of our model. The simulation results show that co-existence of the competing platforms persists with the network effects over a certain threshold. The net neutrality policy seems to lower the threshold based on our experimental outcomes.

국내 소프트웨어산업의 진흥을 위하여 공공 System Integration(이하 SI) 시장에 대기업 참여를 전면적으로 제한하는 소프트웨어산업진흥법 개정안이 발효됨에 따라 공공 SI 시장이 중소기업위주로 개편되어야 할 상황에 놓여 있다. 그러나 공공 SI 시장은 중소기업이 감당하기에 무리가 따르는 대형 SI 프로젝트가 다수여서, 대형 SI 프로젝트를 발주해야 만하는 발주기관은 당혹해 하고 있고, 어느 중소기업도 자신의 한계를 넘는 대형 프로젝트 수주를 위해 적극적으로 뛰어들지 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 중소기업위주의 SI 시장 활성화를 위하여 취해야 할 접근 방법을 제안한다.

본 논문은 재구성가능생산시스템 환경에서 e-MarketPlace를 통한 거래상황을 도입한 주기적 검토 재고모형을 연구한다. 의사결정권자는 고객의 확률적 수요를 만족시키기 위해서 생산용량/생산량을 확장/축소하거나 e-Marketplace를 통해 긴급으로 재고를 보충/처리한다. e-MarketPlace로부터의 거래 시 재고의 보충/처리에 걸리는 리드타임은 시스템의 생산리드타임보다 짧지만, 단위거래비용(구매/판매비용)은 생산용량/생산량을 한 단위 확장/축소하는 비용보다 높기 때문에 각 대안들의 비용-리드타임간의 trade-off가 고려된다. 추가적으로 e-MarketPlace로부터 재고를 보충하거나 생산용량을 확장하는 경우 그 수량에 따른 규모의 경제를 고려하기 위해 고정 비용이 포함된다. 우리는 제안되는 모형의 최적 정책형태를 규정하기 위해 동적계획모형과 K-convexity 기법을 적용하고, base stock policy와 (s,S) type policy의 조합으로 구성된 최적 생산-재고관리 정책을 제시한다.

This article examines the features of improving the public management of the market of medical and social services using information technology to improve the efficiency of public activity in modern conditions. The interpretation of the essence of the categories "information technologies" and "information support" is analyzed. The importance of the organization of information support of public authorities in the insurance of the state apparatus of information management for the adoption and solution of state issues of the market of medical and social services has been studied. Issues and system of information support of public management of the market of medical and social services are considered. The stages of the ICT implementation process in the market of medical and social services are described. The tools of state regulation in the market of medical and social services and the introduction of targeted programs for the development of the social sphere and health care are highlighted. Recommendations for improvement are formulated public management of the market of medical services and social way introduction of ICT tools, which provide for the implementation of a set of measures aimed at intellectualizing the entire system public data management spheres. The necessity of development of innovative tools of public management of the market of medical and social services of Ukraine for the purpose of working out of strategies of increase of quality of medical and social services in the XXI century is substantiated. A number of benefits from the implementation of an effective process of application of information support of public management of the market of medical and social services to ensure the efficiency of public authorities of Ukraine. It is proposed to create a "Department of information support of self-government" and electronic health care system (e-Health) to improve the management decision-making process, which will provide an opportunity to accumulate, process, analyze, and as a result, get the expected effect in the form of balanced management decisions by public authorities of Ukraine.

In this paper, we present new application for the auction method which has been based on one-chip microprocessors. We develop the portable wired terminal for market blocker. And, using that, the recommended price of products is able to push into and show the information of action status. Through our research, using EAS(Electronic Auction System), we can prevent supplier from blocker's rigging the market, because anyone who have a qualification for the action blocker is able to participate in action.

The purpose of this study was to analyze export competitiveness of Korean auto parts and Chinese auto parts in U.S. market by using Index of Export Bias and Market Comparative Advantage Index. For attaining the purpose of study, we classified the auto parts which exported to U.S. market and the imported products by using the six units classification of the Harmonized System(HS). Analyzing period was 1998-2005. The analysis of Korean results of MCA indicated that the Korean auto parts which gained export competitiveness in the U.S. market were HS Code No. 8708.94, 8708.99, 8708.92. The products which will have export competitiveness in the U.S. market would be HS Code No. 8708.93, 8708.39, 8708.60 respectively. On the other hand, the results indicated that the Chinese auto parts which gained export competitiveness in the U.S. market were HS Code No. 8708.70, 8708.31, 8708.91, 8708.60, 8708.39. From this study, we find the following strategies for successful advancing into the U.S. and world market. i) Linking strategy through working cooperation with local auto firms, government and academic world. ii) Advance strategy of auto firm accompany by module working and system auto parts firm. iii) Retention strategy of large technical institution established by auto parts firms and taking cooperation of auto firms iv) Settlement strategy for having weaken competitive article and production field. v) Cost-cutting strategy through strengthening logistics cooperation system between auto parts firms and auto firms. vi) Active invitation strategy of foreign investment under quickly cooperating of government.
