With current economic advancements and increasing demand for well-being, diverse leisure cultures have developed. The geographic feature of being surrounded in 3 sides by water has resulted in the sustained growth of the marine leisure market. But the increased market and users has not resulted in the systematic management of sailing safety and equipment. Marine leisure activities occur on water, so the damage from collisions and distress calls are greater than land based leisure activities. And marine leisure equipment is very expensive, requiring systematic management. This research proposes an information system using a new IP-RFID technique to manage the safety of marine leisure users and equipment management.
Marine equipment exposed to harsh environments requires not only excellent corrosion resistance but also improvement of physical characteristics against natural material degradation. With growing interests in ocean energy resources, the higher reliability for marine equipment has become more important in terms of material characteristics. ALBC3 alloy represents excellent corrosion resistance and is widely used in corrosive environments. However, cavitation damage occurs frequently due to its poor durability in high flow rate of marine environment. In this research, shot peening technology was employed as a surface modification with shot peening stand-off distance to mitigate cavitation damage. The effects of shot peening on extent of cavitation damage and weight loss were evaluated for both shot peened and non-peened specimens. The results revealed that the application of shot peeing decreased cavitation damage for all experimental conditions in comparison with the non-peened specimens. The optimum stand-off distance was determined to be 10 cm, since more than 35 % of cavitation damage reduction was observed.

When considering marine pollution control procedures there are three general areas which demand close attention. These are: $\bullet$ oily bilge water $\bullet$ refuse $\bullet$ sewage All of these applications can be handled constantly changing to address the complexity of the waste management issues. The basic marine pollution regulations are covered by the International Maritime Organizations MARPOL 73/78 convention, with the various annexes and revisions. Of particular importance for equipment to deal with oily-water, sewage and plastic wastes.
Reinforced concrete structures have been increasingly widely used in numerous industrial fields. These structures are often exposed to severely corrosive environments such as seawater, contaminated water, acid rain, and the seashore. Thus, the corrosion problems that occur with the steel bars embedded in concrete are very important from the safety and economic points of view. In this study, the effects of the cover thickness on the corrosion properties of reinforced steel bars embedded in multiple mortar test specimens immersed in seawater for 5 years were investigated using electrochemical methods such as the corrosion potentials, polarization curves, cyclic voltammograms, galvanostat, and potentiostat. The corrosion potentials shifted in the noble direction, and the value of the AC impedance also exhibited a higher value with increasing cover thickness. Furthermore, the polarization resistance increased with increasing cover thickness, which means that the oxide film that is deposited on the surface of a steel bar surrounded by alkali environment exhibits better corrosion resistance because the water, chloride ions and dissolved oxygen have difficulty penerating to the surface of the steel bar with increasing cover thickness. Consequently, it is considered that the corrosion resistance of reinforced steel can be improved by increasing the cover thickness. However, the corrosion resistance values of a steel bar estimated by measuring the corrosion potential, impedance and polarization resistance were not in good agreement with its corrosion resistance obtained by polarization curves.
For GIS to land and sea in Korea, GIS on land was almost completed with big cities by NGIS(National Geographic Information System) business. However, MGIS(Marine Geographic Information System) being constructed by the National Oceanographic Research Institute is still constructing geography information and definition of attribute information and real condition. We are being studied on research to get maximized the ripple effect linking GPS and Navigation techniques on GIS. GPS in accuracy is divided into navigation and precise surveying equipment. Now, GPS technology has been developed very much and low price GPS equipments are introducing. But expense on GPS equipment is high yet. Therefore, GPS equipment for navigation is used on cheap GPS equipment in a car or ship. In this paper, the author used algorithm to convert ellipsoid coordinate between WGS84 and Bessel ellipsoid and to analyze map projection between BESSEL ellipsoid and UTM plane coordinate system. And the author developed ship navigation system with cheap GPS equipment using algorithm of ellipsoid conversion and map projection. The author proposed the necessity on constructing MGIS to manage many ships.

Cooling technology has been a vital prerequisite for the rapid, if not explosive, growth of the electronic equipment industry. This has been especially true during the last 20 years with the advent of intergrated circuit chips and their applications in computers and related electronic products. The purpose of this study is to develop a telecommunication equipment cooling system using a thermoelectric module combined with cooling fan. Thermoelectric module is a device that can perform cooling only by input of electric power. In the present study, the cooling package using the thermoeletric module has been developed to improve the thermal performance. The cooling characteristics of the electronic chip was placed into the subrack and it can be rapidly assembled or disassembled in the equipment rack. As a preliminary experiment, the cooling performances between a conventional way using a cooling fin and a proposed method applying the thermoelectric module was comosed and analyzyed. The cooling performance at a simulated electronic component packaging a thermomodule operated well.
The current situation of ports and related industries is transitioning from quantitative growth in increased cargo volume and expansion of port facilities to qualitative growth in the role of ports through the creation of high value-added. Ports are now recognized as playing an important role in economic growth and development by generating high value-added, not just by increasing the amount of cargo and expanding port facilities. This study evaluated the importance of factors affecting the improvement of the Busan Port's marine equipment industry by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) to derive the priority of improvement measures by factor and evaluate the importance of factors affecting the marine equipment industry. The factors that should be considered when selecting improvement measures for the marine equipment industry were selected as four factors: strengthening price competitiveness, increasing government and local government interest, strengthening promotion, and establishing a global network. The main sub-factors were composed of eight detailed evaluation factors by selecting two factors for each layer. The analysis was designed by dividing the factor hierarchy for selecting improvement measures for the marine equipment industry into three levels and creating survey questions for pairwise comparison. The priority of the analysis results using AHP showed that the factor with the highest priority was strengthening price competitiveness, followed by increasing government and local government interest, establishing a global network, and strengthening promotion. According to the analysis results for the second-level sub-factors, among the factors for strengthening price competitiveness, low distribution costs and storage costs were considered most important, followed by avoiding excessive competition among marine equipment companies. Among the factors for increasing government and local government interest, improving customs procedures and tariff refund procedures were considered most important, followed by strengthening incentives from the government and Busan City. Among the factors for establishing a global network, promoting large-scale marine equipment companies was considered most important, followed by actively participating in international marine equipment-related associations. Among the factors for strengthening promotion, active use of the Internet was considered most important, followed by holding domestic and international exhibitions. Based on this study, we hope to help activate Busan Port's market by enhancing its competitiveness through revitalizing its marine equipment industry, generating water traffic, and creating new value-added.

The purpose of this research is a verification of the current equation for calculating equipment number and a suggesting a method for development of a rational new equation. The equation for calculating equipment number consists of total surface area of a ship that fluid resistance act on. Equipment number determines the specification of anchoring and mooring equipment such as anchor weight, anchor chains length and diameter, the number, length and breaking load of tow lines and mooring lines. The equation for equipment number calculation is basically derived considering x, y components of a wind and current force acting on a ship. But this equation is only based on a tanker, which was main type of ships when the equation was derived. Therefore, verification of the equation is required for other types of ships, such as container carrier, LNG carrier, etc. Therefore, in this research, we find out the equation for equipment number calculation should be revised for other types of ships especially the container carrier, by comparing wind and current force acting on a ship to holding force of an anchor and anchor chains, which are selected based on the equipment number.
