IKONOS 스테레오 영상의 매칭사이즈 결정연구 (A Study on Determination of the Matching Size of IKONOS Stereo Imagery)

  • In the post-Cold War era, acquisition technique of high-resolution satellite imagery (HRSI) has begun to commercialize. IKONOS-2 satellite imaging data is supplied for the first time in the 21st century. Many researchers testified mapping possibility of the HRSI data instead of aerial photography. It is easy to renew and automate a topographical map because HRSI not only can be more taken widely and periodically than aerial photography, but also can be directly supplied as digital image. In this study matching size of IKONOS Geo-level stereo image is presented lot production of digital elevation model (DEM). We applied area based matching method using correlation coefficient of pixel brightness value between the two images. After matching line (where "matching line" implies straight line that is approximated to complex non-linear epipolar geometry) is established by exterior orientation parameters (EOPs) to minimize search area, the matching is tarried out based on this line. The experiment on matching size is performed according to land cover property, which is divided off into four areas (water, urban land, forest land and agricultural land). In each of the test areas, window size for the highest correlation coefficient is selected as propel size for matching. As the results of experiment, the proper size was selected as $123{\times}123$ pixels window, $13{\times}13$ pixels window, $129{\times}129$ pixels window and $81{\times}81$ pixels window in the water area, urban land, forest land and agricultural land, respectively. Of course, determination of the matching size by the correlation coefficient may be not absolute appraisal method. Optimum matching size using the geometric accuracy therefore, will be presented by the further work.

  • This study presents the evaluation process for door module. Its objective evades the resonance generated at module plate due to the operation of window regulator motor. For this study, the design improvement process is composed of experimental methods having three steps. First step is modal analysis at door assembly status for acquisition of dynamic characteristics which are modal frequency and damping. Second step is a vibration experiment to get the test mode considered an efficiency of window regulator motor. Last step is a vibration measurement by the form of $6{\times}6$ array on module plate. A vibration measurement of 6x6 array form can be got to three analysis results which are a transfer path of vibration using cross correlation function, a vibration map using OA level and a contribution by frequency band using coherent output power spectrum on module plate. These results are applied to SDM(structural dynamic modification) for design improvement to get around the resonance on module plate by the excitation of window regulator motor.

  • IEEE 802.11에 정의된 전력 절약 메카니즘에서 모든 노드들은 동일한 ATIM(Ad hoc Traffic Indication Map) 윈도우 크기와 동일한 비이콘(beacon) 간격을 사용한다. ATIM 윈도우 크기는 처리율과 에너지 소모에 크게 영행을 미치기 때문에 고정된 ATIM 윈도우 크기는 좋은 성능을 나타내지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 네트워크 상태에 따라 ATIM 윈도우 크기를 조절하는 기법을 제시한다. 제시된 기법은 네트워크 특성을 반영하기 위해 (m,k)-firm 스트림 기법을 적용하였다. 제시된 기법의 성능을 평가하기 위해 ns-2 시뮬레이터를 이용한 성능 평가를 수행했다. 수행된 결과를 보면 제시된 프로토콜은 기존의 프로토콜 보다 많은 양의 에너지 절약을 하고 있음을 볼 수 있다.

  • A new disparity estimation method in hierarchical frameworks is proposed. The two main ideas for improving accuracy are to obtain an object boundary map for distinction of homogeneous/object boundary region and to choose adaptive window size/shapes. Moreover, for the reduction of computational complexity, we change reference regions in hierarchical framework. The experimental results show that the proposed method can acquire good results which are robust to homogeneous and object boundary regions.

  • Conventional vector quantization (VQ) codebook design methods have several drawbacks such as edge degradation and high computational complexity. In this paper, we first made activity coordinates from the horizonatal and the vertical activity of the input block. Then it is mapped on the 2-dimensional interconnected codebook, and the codebook is designed using kohonen self-organizing map (KSFM) learning algorithm after the search of a codevector that has the minumum distance from the input vector in a small window, centered by the mapped point. As the serch area is restricted within the window, the computational amount is reduced compared with usual VQ. From the resutls of computer simulation, proposed method shows a better perfomance, in the view point of edge reconstruction and PSNR, than previous codebook training methods. And we also obtained a higher PSNR than that of classified vector quantization (CVQ).

보현산천문대 CCD 카메라 제어 소프트웨어 알고리즘 (ON THE ALGORITHM FOR BOAO CCD CAMERA CONTROL SOFTWARE)

  • The development of universal CCD camera control software for all BOAO CCD camera systems is proposed. The new software, running under Sun SPARCstation and motif based X window system with SunOS 4.1.3 operating system, replaces existing control software based on NeXTstation color and NeXTstep 2.1 operating system which is no more produced now. Several new features of the new software is introduced, some of which are 1) the image contrast is enhanced by color manipulation and display, 2) image zooming and trimming, 3) any size of image can be displayed in the scrolled window, and 4) the offset between telescope pointing position and CCD center is easily calculated by alt-azi map. Along with the above new features, the new software has advantages including ease of maintenance and upgrading and elimination of risk caused by hardware damage. Since September 1, the software beta version is being used by observers and there is not seen severe problem regarding the software itself, but several requests to equip more features to the software will be mirrored to future release.

영상 분할과 변이 지도를 이용한 건물 경계선 검출 (Building boundary detection using image segmentation and disparity map)

  • 본 논문에서는 1m 해상도의 위성영상으로부터 건물의 경계선을 검출하기 위해 영상분할과 변이지도(disparity map)를 이용하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. Watershed 방법으로 영상을 분할하고 분할된 영역 내부의 변이를 다중정합창틀(multiple matching window)과 결합된 다차원특징벡터정합(multi-dimensional feature vector matching)을 이용하여 계산한다 분할된 인접 영역들 가운데 panchromatic 및 multispectral 밝기값과 변이의 평균값이 유사하면 두 영역을 결합하여 하나의 영역을 생성하고 이 과정을 반복적으로 수행한다. 영역의 평균 변이값이 기준 값보다 크면 이를 건물 지붕 영역으로 결정한다. IKONOS 위성영상에 제안한 방법을 적용하여 작은 건물이 밀집되어 있는 도시 지역에서 건물 지붕의 영역과 경계선을 효과적으로 검출할 수 있었다.

경계선 및 영역 정보를 이용한 스테레오 정합 (Stereo Matching Based on Edge and Area Information)

  • A hybrid approach which includes edge- and region-based methods is considered. The modified non-linear Laplacian(MNL) filter is used for feature extraction. The matching algorithm has three steps which are edge, signed region, and residual region matching. At first, the edge points are matched using the sign and direction of edges. Then, the disparity is propagated from edge to inside region. A variable window is used to consider the local method which give accurate matched points and area-based method which can obtain full-resolution disparity map. In addition, a new relaxation algorithm for considering matching possibility derived from normalized error and regional continuity constraint is proposed to reduce the mismatched points. By the result of simulation for various images, this algorithm is insensitive to noise and gives full- resolution disparity map.

  • In this paper, the trend of the market demand for the technology of railway cars and the development direction of other country or company were studied by analysing the patent map. The effort for developing the technology is intensified from the middle of 1960s and it seems to be more strengthened especially in the parts of bogie, driving motor/power, window and door. Recently the increasing rate of the number of patent application from Germany and China is noticeable. The results of this paper can be used for making the development plans of competitive technologies and benchmarking of them.
