  • The application of 3 dimensional virtual reality continuously pursues 3 dimensional system implementation in geographical information system, and is applied and studied in various fields like visualization, simulation, and 3 dimensional analysis. Orthoimage produced to construct basic data of virtual city is evaluated in accuracy, to fall in allowable error of the specification of image map generation. In this paper, 3 dimensional virtual city is constructed and evaluated around Bucheon University using 3 dimensional virtual reality technique and digital photogrammetry. Consequently, the constructed 3 dimensional virtual city around Bucheon University can visualize 3 dimensional reality, to help making decision. It can be substituted for existed 2 dimensional GIS in public and private sectors, and be helpful to decision makers.

운전자의 가속타입이 MPI 가솔린엔진의 과도성능에 미치는 영향 (Effect on Transient Performance of Driver's Acceleration Type in MPI Gasoline Engine)

  • To provide the appropriate direction for development of transient control in a gasoline engine, transient performance analysis and evalution under four accelerating types based on typical driver's acceleration type were implemented by experimental study. In order to evaluate the characteristics of transient performance quanititatively, the concept and method by transient response specifications were introduced. Several performance parameters in terms of engine speed(RPM), manifold absolute pressure(MAP), fuel injection duration($\DeltatI_{nj}$) and air excess ratio($\lambda$) were emasured simultaneously during the four types of the throttle valve opening with the step motor controlled by PC. The result showed that transient response specifications in terms of delay time, rising time and settling time characterized the transient performance for four acceleration types quantitatively. Intensified acceleration type was most economical and linear acceleration type revealed the best emission performance.

  • This paper described design as a purposeful human activity for solving its problems. This means, problem solving is finding a way to get from some initial situation to a desired goal.In order to do this, like a voyage, there should be a compass, and a route map to guide the designer through the design process. Evaluation gives information about the way a design is proceeding and suggests the direction in which change should be made in order that the complex of design concepts should be fulfilled in a satisfactory manner.I think Pugh's total design model discussing in this paper takes a layered approach through a series of sequential actions, part of which is to find the product status. Each layer has the $$\mu$ti-dimensional elements, Product Design Specification (PDS) around the design core. I made a comparative study of several evaluation tools wi th Pugh's model and examined the criteria for evaluation and the rating / weighing methods.It needs, however, more study in order that PDSs may have its values and be fixed from the dynamic design concepts.

  • Substation automation is one of the key issues for the enhancement of the power industrial foundation. IEC 60850 is an international standard specifying communication network and systems in substation. It supports interchangeability and interoperability of equipments from different vendors. ACSI(Abstract communication service interface) specifies basic communication structure for substation and IEDs. It supports communication as well as various services without proper protocols. For actual communication, MMS(Manufacturing Message Specification : ISO 9506) is used to map ACSI services. Solutions for the development of communication driver based don IEC 61850 are proposed in this paper.

  • 최근 일반인들의 웹 사용이 급증함에 따라 웹 관련 어플리케이션이 증가하게 되었다. GIS 분야에서 웹 GIS라는 분야가 등장하게 되었고 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔다. OGC(Open GIS Consortium)에서는 GIS 데이터의 상호운용성을 웹 환경에서 지원하고, 서로 다른 타입의 지리정보의 접근을 위해 웹 맵서버 인터페이스 구현 명세(Web Map Server Interfaces Implementation Specification)를 제안하였다. 제안된 웹 맵 서버의 통합방법 중에서 XLink를 이용한 통합방법은 웹 맵 서버 통합방법보다 서버의 응답 시간을 줄였으나 클라이언트의 문서 처리시간이 증가하였다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 점을 해결하기 위하여 클라이언트에서 XLink로 표현된 통합문서를 각각 개별적으로 처리하는 개별 문서처리 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문의 개별 문서처리 기법은 클라이언트에서 XLink된 문서들을 각 문서별로 개별적인 파싱을 수행하고, 파싱된 결과를 동시에 처리한다.

Developing Track Ballast Characteristic Guideline In Order To Evaluate Its Performance

  • In spite of recent advances in ballasted railway track, the correct choice of ballast for rail track is still considered critical because aggregates progressively deteriorate under traffic loading and environmental exposures. Various ballast requirements, functions and duties have been defined by researchers, railway companies and countries' regulations even though it needs to be integrated to make following proper decision during track operation and maintenance. A proper understanding of ballast properties and suitable tests are prerequisites for minimizing maintenance costs. This paper presents a capable classification for ballast characteristics which need to be investigated beforehand to such a way, firstly to assign ballast functions, secondly need to clarify ballast requirements, thirdly to map appropriate tests to evaluate ballast characteristics and then it must be such that if ballast cannot carry out one of these duties, be able to call there is ballast defect. The paper is structured in order to achieve these objectives.

  • A communication network protocol among programable devices built-i manufacturing field, MAP (Manufacturing Automation Protocol), has to provide the job transfer service carrying out a lot of jobs distributively, and the MMS( manufacturing message specification) defines the above application layer protocol. In this paper user software required in job transfer was implemented. So as to provide each service with compatibility and extension, each module was designed according to the functions. A method is selected in double-assigning their domain and program applicable even in complex process, which loads and proceeds several programs sequentially. In order to confirm the logical validity of the designed protocol, local applying test is accomplished for the application layer of response station. Modelling the job flow process, each serice module is verified with the I/O primitives.

삽에 대한 인간공학적 평가 (An Ergonomics Evaluation on the Shovels of Korean Standard)

  • We Propose an improved shovel design to minimize physical discomfort and the risk of cumulative trauma disorder at shoveling tasks. The specifications of shovels in Korean standard data were scrutinized to check if they met the anthropometric specification of Korean population in 1997. We also applied "Body Map" pictograph and self-conscious checklist to field survey to analyze the discomfort of shoveling task. Thirty male subjects whose age were ranging from 18 to 65 voluntarily participated in the experiment. The measurement results show that shoveling workers were exposed to hazards of CTD's. Especially, when workers were involved in ditch digging and construction their trunk vend more than 120 degree. In order to compare the new designed shovel and the traditional K.S shovel, an analysis of variance was performed and we obtained very strong evidence that the new designed shovel was better in reducing physical discomfort. According to the results from electromyograrn experiment the new shovel contributed to improving subjective comfort level and reducing low back muscle fatigue. For futher study, the research may be extended to determine the relationship among shovel sharpness, type, digging motion and digging force.ing force.

고속 SoC 검증을 위한 자동 가상 플랫폼 생성 (Automatic Virtual Platform Generation for Fast SoC Verification)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상 플랫폼을 이용하여 빠르고 효과적으로 시스템을 검증하기 위한 추상레벨의 자동생성에 대하여 제안한다. 추상레벨 가상 플랫폼은 효과적인 검증 방법이긴 하지만 시스템이 변경될 때마다 가상 플랫폼을 재생성하고 추가적인 설계/검증을 요구되며 이 작업은 매우 많은 시간을 요구한다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 CPU, 메모리, UART 등을 기본적인 요소로 구성하여 추상레벨의 라이브러리로 생성하였다. 이 라이브러리를 이용하여 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성하는 툴을 개발하였다. 이 툴은 임베디드 RTOS를 구성하는 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성하며 HW/SW 간의 통신을 위한 메모리 맵과 디바이스 드라이버 등도 생성한다. 제안한 방법은 JPEG과 H.264에 성공적으로 적용하였으며 기존의 수동 작업에 비하여 매우 빠르게 가상 플랫폼을 자동 생성할 수 있었다.

모바일 서비스를 위한 메인 메모리 기반 공간 데이터 관리자 (Main-Memory Based Spatial Data Manager for Mobile Service)

  • 최근 모바일 환경의 급격한 발전으로 모바일 기기에서 지도를 표현하기 위한 필요성이 급증하고 있다. 본 논문은 모바일 환경에서 공간 데이터를 효율적으로 제공하기 위해 가장 중요한 역할을 담당하는 공간 데이터 관리자를 제안한 논문이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 공간 데이터 관리자는 상호운용성을 지원하면서도 효율적인 성능을 제공하기 위하여 다양한 방법을 사용한다. 상호운용성을 지원하기 위해서는 국제 표준을 준수하여 상이한 환경에서도 재사용성을 보장한다. 성능 향상을 위해서는 물리적인 메인 메모리에 공간 데이터를 적재하고 서비스하여 디스크 접근 시간을 없애고, 결과 데이터 형식으로 미리 변환한 공간 데이터를 메인 메모리에 적재하여 형식 변환에 걸리는 시간이 필요 없도록 한다. 그리고, 모바일 환경에서 유무선 온라인으로 공간 데이터를 실시간으로 전송하는 경우에 전체 데이터를 전송하지 않고 부분적으로 전송된 데이터만으로도 표현이 가능하도록 하여 응답 시간 및 처리 시간을 최소화할 수 있도록 한다.
