기계시각과 DGPS를 이용한 실시간 정밀방제 시스템 개발 (Development of Real-time Precision Spraying System Using Machine Vision and DGPS)

  • Several researches for site-specific weed control have tried to increase accuracy of weed detection with machine vision technique. However, there is a problem which needs substantial time to perform site-specific spraying. Therefore, new technology for real-time precision spraying system is needed. This research was executed to develope the new technology to estimate weed density and size in real time, and to conduct a real-time site-specific spraying. It would effectively reduce herbicide amounts applied for a crop field. The real-time precision spraying system consisted of a Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) with an error of 2 cm, a machine vision system, a geomagnetic sensor for correction of view point of CCD camera and an automatic sprayer with separately controlled nozzle. The weed density was calculated with comparison between position information and a pre-designed electronic map. The position information was obtained in real time using the DGPS and the machine vision. The electronic map contained a position database of crops automatically constructed when seeding. The developed system was tested on an experimental field of Seoul National University. Success rate of the spraying was about 61%.

  • For standard size of farmland in Korea is small, we have to consume huge labor for cultivation and efficiency of machine is low. We practice the project, which make size of farmland enlarge. For many factors have to consider in design process in case of large-scale farmland, there are difficulties for comparing alternatives if we design it manually. So we need to techniques for establishing various alternatives and choosing the optimum design by the computer. In this study, fixing the boundary of project using the RGIS (Rural Geographical Information System) which standard electronic map in Korea. In the boundary, we analysis the many characteristics of farm land, optimize the adjustment process of field unit of farmland. In this process, we develop automatic farmland division techniques. The results of adapting the developed system show the usefulness to enlarge the size of farmland about 200%.

Dynamic Adjustment of Ad hoc Traffic Indication Map(ATIM) window to save Power in IEEE 802.11 DCF

  • Wakeup schemes that turn off sensors' radio when communication is not necessary have great potential in energy saving. At the start of each beacon interval in the IEEE 802.11 power saving mode specified for DCF, each node periodically wakes up for duration called the ATIM Window. However, in the power saving mechanism specified in IEEE 802.11, all nodes use the same ATIM window size. Since the ATIM window size critically affects throughput and energy consumption, a fixed ATIM window does not perform well in all situations. This paper proposes an adaptive mechanism to dynamically choose an ATIM window size according to network condition. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the IEEE 802.11 power saving mechanism in terms of the amount of power consumed and the packet delivery ratio.

  • The successful launch of Arirang satellites allow the acquisition of high resolution satellite imagery of Korean territory and enables the transition from the conventional cultivation area survey method to new image based methods adopted in advanced nations. In this study, we suggested reasonable sizes of the primary sampling unit and the secondary sampling unit for the satellite imagery based sampling design in 8 provinces preselected for this research. The PSU size was determined mainly in consideration of intracorrelation that shows the degree of homogeneity within each cluster and the efficiency of the image process. For the SSU size, we considered the relative standard error and the differences between the land cover maps produced by the Ministry of Environment and the satellite imagery processed by the National Statistical Office.

  • Compression tests were carried out to investigate morphologies of compressed specimen, deformation microstructure and stress-strain relation in high-nitrogen austenite stainless steel. Tests were performed under a wide range of temperature and, with true strain rates up to $\dot{\varepsilon}$ =0.05, 0.1, 0.5 and $1.0s^{-1}$. The activation energy of loading force was equal to plastic deformation energy within the temperature range of $900^{\circ}C$ to $1250^{\circ}C$. Dynamically recrystallized grain size decreased with an increasing strain rate and temperature. Flow stresses and deformation microstructures, were used to quantify the critical strain rate and recrystallized grain size. The grain size versus strain rate-temperature map obtained in the study was in good agreement with the deformation microstructures of compressed specimens.

A Highly Efficient and Fast Algorithm for Implementing a Real-Time Software GNSS Receiver

  • In this paper, for implementing a real-time software GNSS receiver we propose the highly efficient and fast algorithms such as partial down-conversion, phase rotator, composite I&Q accumulation, Virtual DCO technique, and parallel acquisition using FFT. When the proposed algorithms are used, more 30 tracking channels with 3 tracking arm(early-prompt-late) is operated real-time on Intel 2.8GHz personal computer. Also, the partial down-conversion reduces the FFT size, for parallel acquisition, to 1/8 of conventional FFT-size and the program size includes map is not exceed 1Mbyte. Finally, the proposed real-time software GNSS receiver using the proposed algorithms provides the navigation solution with below 10 meter rms error.

  • 지형 정보는 표고 자료가 요구되는 응용에서 반드시 필요한 중요한 자료이다. 이러한 응용에는 배수 유역, 하천망의 추출, 가시권 분석, 지형학적 특징의 분석, 지형에 관련된 산사태 유형의 양적인 분석 및 산사태 발생지역에서 민감도 분석을 위한 지형 위치의 검증 등이 있다. 그러므로 DEM으로부터 추출된 지형 매개변수 자료의 정확도를 연구해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 표고 격자 DEM을 이용하여 자료원과 격자크기가 지형 매개변수에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 지형매개변수 분석은 수치지형도로 구축된 것과 DTED DEM을 이용하여 배수유역, 유역경사, 하천망을 추출하여 비교하였다. 특히, 격자 DEM으로부터 하천망을 추출하는 경우 DEM 격자크기에 관계없이 흐름누적 임계값에 따라 많은 영향을 받았다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 두 자료원에 동일한 흐름누적 임계값을 적용하여 하천망을 비교 분석하였다.

매개변수 환경설정에 따른 타조의 외부합병정렬 성능 연구 (External Merge Sorting in Tajo with Variable Server Configuration)

  • 거대한 데이터로부터 가치 있는 정보를 추출해 내는 빅데이터 기술의 필요성은 나날이 커지고 있다. 빅데이터 분석을 위해 사용되는 하둡 시스템은 맵리듀스를 통해 데이터를 처리하였으나, 맵리듀스 프레임워크는 코드 재사용성의 한계, 질의 최적화 기술의 부재 등의 단점을 보인다. 이를 극복하기 위해 SQL-on-Hadoop이라 불리는 하둡 기반의 SQL 질의 처리 기술이 주목받고 있다. SQL-on-Hadoop 기술 중 타조(Tajo)는 국내 개발진이 주축이 되어 개발되었다. 타조는 데이터 분석을 위해 외부합병정렬 알고리즘을 사용하며, 정렬 연산에 영향을 주는 매개변수로 정렬 버퍼 사이즈와 팬-아웃을 가진다. 본 논문은 타조의 정렬 연산에 영향을 미치는 매개변수인 정렬 버퍼 사이즈와 팬-아웃 값에 따른 정렬의 성능 차이를 보인다. 또한 측정한 성능에 대하여 정렬 버퍼 사이즈가 증가함에 따른 CPU 캐시 미스의 비율 증가, 팬-아웃에 따른 합병 단계 수의 변화가 성능 차이의 원인임을 보인다.

Pseudomonas putida로 부터 분리한 cryptic플라스미드의 제한효소지도 (Restriction map of a cryptic plasmid from Pseudomonas putida)

  • Pseudomonas의 분해계 플라스미드와 이들에 유용한 벡터를 개발하기 위해서 본 연구실에서 분리, 보존하고 있는 Pseudomonas 중에서 P.putita KU 190으로부터 하나의 플라스미드를 분리하여 그 특성을 해석코저 하였다. size marker로 RP4와 pSy343를 사용하여 플라스미드의 크기를 결정한 바 41Kb로 나타났으며, 이 플라스미드를 pKU 41라 명명하였다. 제한효소 Bglll, BamHl, Eco Rl, HindIII, Sall등으로 이 플라스미드를 소화하여 이들의 제한효소 pattern을 조사한 결과, Bg III가 1. BamHl 3, Hin dIll는 3, EcoRI은 6 그리고 SalI은 13개 이상의 절단부위를 가지고 있었다. 이 제한효소의 절단부위, 토막들의 크기로부터 BamHI, HindIII에 대한 지도를 작성하였다. 플라스미드의 생울학적 기능을 조사하기 위하여 탄화수소 자화능에 대한 큐어링 실험을 하였으나 이로부터 뚜렷한 관련성 여부를 관찰할 수 없었다.

BIM 중장기전략 수립을 위한 정책방향 설정 (Direction of Policy on Long-term Strategy Development for BIM)

  • Introduction of BIM(Building Information Modeling) was led by public institutions, and all buildings over a certain size were obligated to apply BIM. However, through various attempt to apply BIM to actual practice, people had doubt whether it is a usable technology in reality appeared. Therefore, this study investigated cases about implementation strategies of foreign countries, and conducted survey on BIM performances and preparation in architectural design firms. On the basis of this, it suggests the long-term development strategy of BIM and the basic direction of road map to adopt BIM effectively to domestic architectural design market. After considering the cases abroad and the results of survey, it is identified that incentive policies supporting finance and education should be carried out together with partially obligation method led by government in order to introduce BIM into architectural design market effectively by reflecting current situation of architectural design firms.
