초소형 공장의 객체지향 분석 및 디지털 모델구축 (UML Analysis and Digital Model Implementation for Micro-factory)

  • Recent manufacturing system requires development on new production technology to enable prompt manufacturing of diverse products. Most of the researchers have been working on micro-factory. Especially, focus on manufacturing of micro parts. Present manufacturing system consumes excessive resources in the form of energy and space to manufacture the micro parts. In this study, the micro lens module assembly system was modeled, analyzed with MST(Micro System Technology) Application Module and simulated through UML Language (Unified Modeling Language) with object-oriented logical model analysis method. Digital model of micro-factory was modeled, to execute the new paradigm of digitalization on products, resources and processes of micro-factory.

  • Existing manufacturing system has consumed too much energy, space and resource in micro parts manufacturing. To improve this, micro factory system is suggested. But it is difficult to get the high reliability in the assembly, production and inspection of the minute parts because the construction of the micro factory has been started just before. In this study, we will build the digital manufacturing simulation on the micro factory's process and verify the production and assembly process using this simulation.

  • 제조 생산 기업에서 도입하고 있는 MES (제조실행시스템: Manufacturing Execution System) 역시 이러한 시장 변화에 부응하기 위해 스마트화 및 IT융합화를 실현해야하는 현실에 놓여있다. 더욱이 최근 비즈니스 환경이 글로벌화(globalization) 됨에 따라 지역적으로 하나의 공장에서 제한적으로 생산되는 제품들이 다국적이고 분산적으로 생산하게 된다. 따라서 하나의 공장 운용 시스템을 관장하던 로컬(local) MES가 글로벌(global) MES 솔루션으로 확장되는 동시에, 로컬 MES간 생산 자원(production resource)을 상호 공유하는 시스템으로 변화되어야 한다.

A Lagrangian Relaxation Method for Parallel Machine Scheduling with Resource Constraints

  • This research considers the problem of scheduling jobs on parallel machines with non-common due dates and additional resource constraints. The objective is to minimize the total absolute deviation of job completion times about the due dates. Job processing times are assumed to be the same. This problem is motivated by restrictions that occur in the handling and processing of jobs in certain phases of semiconductor manufacturing and other production systems. We examine two problems. For the first of these, the number of different types of additional: resources and resource requirements per job are arbitrary. The problem is formulated as a zero-one integer linear programming and the Lagrangian relaxation approach is used. For the second case, there exists one single type of additional resource and the resource requirements per job are zero or one. We show how to formulate the problem as an assignment problem.

Co-ordination between R&D and Human Resource in the post catching-up era

  • Korea has entered into the Post Catching-up era and the necessity of new innovation strategy in response is being raised. This study argues the necessity of new innovation strategy and discusses the issue of co-ordination between R&D and Human Resource for that as the key factor. From empirical analysis, there seems to be restricted inflow of outstanding human resources to manufacturing sectors and lowering effectiveness of major even with the improved compatibility between major and job. Especially, it is severe in the industries with high R&D investment. It can be interpreted as an incoordination of the technological innovation efforts from the aspect of R&D investment with human resource utilization from the aspect of new human resource. The analytical result and interpretation suggests that there should be more active improvement on the co-ordination between innovative manufacturers' efforts and human resource utilization, in order to keep sustainable development.

기업의 기술혁신 활동 결정요인: 자원기반 관점에서 본 탐색적 연구

  • This paper investigates the determinants of the firm's decision to carry out innovative activities in terms of the resource-based view(RBV) in strategic management. Two types of resources are distinguished: tangible(financial autonomy, firm size, capital intensity) and intangible(human resource, entrepreneurship, and commercial resource). R&D intensity and patent statistics are used as proxies for innovative activity. Specific hypotheses about their effect on the probability of a firm carrying out innovative activities are derived and tested on a sample of 337 listed firms in Korean manufacturing industry for the year 1999, using the logistic regression model. Empirical findings suggest that firm size and human resource are the main determinants of firm's internal innovative activities. The results show that the hypotheses concerning financial autonomy, debt ratio, capital intensity, entrepreneurship, and commercial resource are rejected.

유가변동의 제조업별 파급 효과 (The Impact of Oil Price Change on the Korean Manufacturing Sector)

  • 우리나라와 같이 수출주도형 산업구조를 가진 국가에서는 해외시장과의 밀접한 연계로 인하여 해외시장이 국내 경제활동에 충격을 전달하는 경로가 될 가능성이 높다. 본고에서는 우리나라에서 유가의 변동이 국내시장과 수출시장을 통하여 어떻게 전달되는지를 설명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 4개의 거시경제변수와 개별 제조업의 산업생산, 국내생산자가격, 수출가격을 포함하여 유가상승에 따른 개별 산업활동의 충격반응함수를 구조적 VAR모형을 이용하여 추정하였다. 이로부터 에너지다소비업종을 제외한 대부분의 제조업에서는 유가상승 후 생산감소와 가격하락이 나타났고, 비금속광물제품(26), 컴퓨터 사무용기기(30), 전자부품 영상 음향 통신장비(32)를 제외하고는 유가상승에 대하여 수출가격이 상승하는 것으로 추정되었다. 이는 국내시장에서 유가상승이 수요충격의 경로로 확산되고 있으나, 수출시장에서는 공급충격의 경로가 존재하고 있어, 대체로 우리나라 제조업은 유가상승에 대하여 이중적 부담을 안고 있는 것으로 설명할 수 있다.

자율적이고 지능적인 리소스 모델에 기반한 프랙탈 생산시스템 (Fractal Manufacturing System (FrMS) based on Autonomous and Intelligent Resource Model (AIR-model))

  • Autonomous and intelligent resource model (AIR-model) defines a building-block of complex systems to pursue value creation by means of diverse resources, referred to as an AIR-unit, and presents a collaboration model with the AIR-units. An AIR-unit represents a piece of resources, such as machines, labor, raw materials, and other assets, considered individually by a complex system as means to accomplish given tasks. It is defined with its own service capability and a goal, and pursues achieving the goal by means of the capability. Moreover, an Air-unit is equipped with autonomy and intelligence, whereby it makes a decision on its course of action on its own initiative. Air-units collaborate on system operations with each other through goal-oriented negotiations. In this research, distinctive features of the AIR-model are addressed and described in detail. Principal components of the AIR-model are also designed via object-oriented modeling techniques. A prototype system based on the AIR-model is finally presented as an embodiment tool of a fractal manufacturing system (FrMS).

The Determinants of Human Resource Information System Success in Japanese Manufacturing Companies

  • Purpose - The study sought to examine the relationship between individual characteristics and system features and Human Resource Information System (HRIS) success in Japanese manufacturing companies in Malaysia. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - This study adopt quantitative approach to investigate the relationship between individual characteristics and system features and HRIS. Toward this objective, a total of 700 questionnaires were mailed to a representative of the organization. A total of 187 questionnaires were returned, and only 145 were usable for further analysis, representing a response rate of 20.71%. Result - Results indicated that individual characteristics and two dimensions of system characteristics (ease of use and training) were significantly related to HRIS success. Unexpectedly, the results showed that the third dimension of system features (documentation) was unrelated to HRIS success. Conclusions - The results partially support the underlying arguments that individual characteristics and system characteristics have significant influences on HRIS success. The finding suggests that HRIS success in the organization can be generated as a result of good implementation of system support and employees' readiness to apply HRIS in their jobs.

Economic Cooperation Plan in the Natural Resource-Based Manufacturing Industry : Focusing on historical and genetic affinity

  • Purpose - The research is aimed at investigating the dynamics of economic cooperation among countries which share historical and genetic affinity. Research design, data, and methodology - The study analyzed historical and genetic affinity after reviewing related thesis data on countries with historical relations studied by domestic historians. After that, it was applied to the method of designating the counterparts for economic cooperation and suggesting economic cooperation measures within a comprehensive range. Results - Economic cooperation with the counterparts should complement the ongoing economic cooperation with each country among their planned national strategies. Korea proposes such matters in a way that cooperates and develops to obtain mutual economic benefits. Among the associated countries, Mongolia is for the underground resource processing industry, Turkey for the investment of companies advancing into neighboring countries, Kazakhstan for the diversification of business centered on the manufacturing industry, Uzbekistan for the modernization and diversification of industrial production, Turkmenistan for the localization of resource-based industries and Export promotion, Hungary for the increase in investment in line with the East-ward policy, Finland is for the cooperation in the knowledge-based industry. Conclusion - This economic cooperation can raise Korea's international status to the next level and further strengthen our voice right in the international community.
