PPR 정보 관리를 통한 금형 디지털 가상생산에 관한 연구 (Study on the digital manufacturing base on PPR information management)

  • To achieve rapid developments and ensure competitiveness, cost saving, digital manufacturing is essential in die shops. Digital Manufacturing is a technology to facilitate effective product developments and agile productions by digital environments representing the physical and logical schema and the behavior of real manufacturing system including manufacturing resources, processes and products. For applying digital manufacturing to die shop, engineering information managements of products, manufacturing process and resources are needed. In this paper proposes and implements, PLM approach for achieving engineering collaborations in engineering activities. We suggest detail procedures, some examples and considerations of PPR managements in die shop.

  • 최근 인터넷의 급속한 확산에 따른 전자상거래의 활성화는 조직과 규모 면에서 열세인 중소기업들의 판로 확장 및 홍보를 위한 새로운 대안으로 인식되고 있다. 그러나, 전자상거래 환경은 비약적으로 성장하고 있지만, 여전히 국내 중소기업들은 인력 및 자금의 상대적인 열세로 이러한 환경변화에 효과적으로 대응치 못하고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 노력의 일환으로, 인터넷 상의 판매 에이전트를 지원할 수 있는 가상생산 에이전트(Virtual Manufacturing Agent)의 개발에 관한 내용을 담고 있다. 제품의 흥보, 주문의 선택 및 수락 여부에 대한 결정은 생산라인의 상태와 매우 밀접한 관계에 있다. 주문의 수락과 주문 조건에 대한 협상을 위해서는 제조가능성 여부, 생산 부하 및 생산일정 등에 대한 정보가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 중소제조업체의 판매활동을 인터넷상에서 가능하게 하는 판매에이전트가 요구하는 생산정보를 적시에 제공할 수 있는 가상생산 에이전트를 설계, 구현하였고, 이를 통하여 구현된 시스템을 사출금형제조업체의 생산과정과 주문처리과정을 통하여 검증하였다.

중소·중견 제조기업 RPA 도입을 위한 사례 탐색 연구 (An Exploratory Case Study on RPA Introduction for Manufacturing SMEs)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyzes the RPA fitting processes by the casese of manufacturing SMEs(Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) in an exploraty approach. Based on the findings on the RPA fitting processes, we intend to provide a cornerstone for developing a general-purpose RPA introduction model in the future. Design/methodology/approach In this study, empirical cases of RPA fitting processes were analyzed based on interviews with project managers of specialized IT suppliers in charge of RPA development and managers of IT departments of manufacturing SMEs that actually introduced RPA. In order to explore various RPA fitting process in the manufacturing value chain, a total of 7 manufacturing SMEs were interviewed, ranging from companies using a legacy system to companies without a legacy system. Over the primary and secondary activity processes, the details of RPA processes were analyzed in the steps of 'Frequency Identification, Input Processing, Source Identification, Inquiry and Processing, Information Registration, Result Reporting'. Findings From the analysis, we derived some exploratory results that the processes over 0.25 FTE and related with many suppliers and clients are fitting for RPA introduction in manufacturing SMEs Our results will provide basic data for the development of the future general-purpose RPA introduction model for manufacturing SMEs, providing practical reference for RPA introduction.

중소 제조업체의 생산정보 관리시스템을 위한 IOCP 기반 서버 (A IOCP-based Server for Product Information Management System of Small and Medium Size Manufacturing Companies)

  • In order to keep global competitiveness, most of small and medium size manufacturing companies require to equip a product information management system which collects and analyzes the data generated at the manufacturing lines and then provides information for manager or worker to make a decision. However, these companies have a cost problem for adopting the enterprise resource planning system mostly used in large companies. To overcome this problem, we suggest an IOCP-based server for the product information management system suitable for small and medium size manufacturing companies. The basic concept of suggested server is that it is possible to process concurrently the connection requests coming from data collector and client by using the facility of asynchronous notification of OS and protect a server against overload by using the thread pool.

  • In this paper, we develop a real-time manufacturing control and information management(POP) system that can support realization of CIM and information network of manufacturing system. The POP system systematically collect informal data that is originated from working area and make an offer collected information to planning side. Especially, this study designs a modular POP terminal that directly extract and process momentary information from field source and provide it to control system on real-time. In addition, we apply developed POP system with open architecture to flexibly and optimally operate the manufacturing system based on CIM.

  • In manufacturing companies, engineering information is a central data which defines a product to be produced. This is changed by various factors such as changes of product configuration, changes of drawings information of a technology's licensor, etc, and these changes essentially accompany the changes of a product BOM (Bill of Materials) structure. Thus, engineering changes gives a heavy burden to information management within enterprise because the changes of product BOM have an influence on each departmental BOM such as a procurement BOM, a manufacturing BOM, a quotation BOM, etc. Especially, these changes of product BOM due to the engineering changes is inevitably and frequently happened by a customer's requirements in a customer-oriented make-to-order manufacturing environments. In these manufacturing environments, information gap among each department from the first contact point of customer to engineering, materials, production, quality, and management is very close, and thus it is very important that the change information of product BOM due to changes of product specification and engineering information are efficiently communicated among each department. This paper describes a procedure of determining product specification and of generating product BOM, and proposes an efficient management scheme for the change process of product BOM information due to changes of product specification and engineering. Also, to show the effectiveness of the proposed product BOM management scheme, a product BOM management system is implemented for the ship engine division of 'H' company, one of customer-oriented make-to-order manufacturing enterprises.

기존 CIM을 활용한 제조업체에서의 CALS 구축 방안 (Building CALS System using CIM in Manufacturing Company)

  • Manufacturing companies must have close relationships with cooperative companies and customers under dynamic market surroundings. Not only product life cycle, but also the allowed period between development of product and sale becomes shorter. In spite of these situations, most manufacturing companies have insufficient capabilities of the information technology and data exchange formats between companies are so different. Thus, there exists a limit on the efficient management of companies. These problems in manufacturing companies could be solved by CALS. Through CALS the company responses quickly to customer demand, transfers this information to manufacturing systems automatically, and distributes products at appropriate time In short, CALS is a strategy to distribute products satisfying with quality, cost and delivery. And up to now, most manufacturing companies have proceeded CIM systems. In this paper, an approach for the efficient building CALS system through extension of CIM in the manufacturing companies is proposed.

  • This study examined the impact of preventive environmental management practices on sales growth, manufacturing and environmental performance of the US chemical manufacturing companies. In order to investigate the impact, this study examined the relationship between the degree of preventive environmental programs and sales growth, manufacturing and environmental performances. Using a cross-sectional research design to test three hypotheses. a survey questionnaire was mailed to chemical companies in the USA. To investigate the relationship between the degree of Preventive environmental programs and sales growth, manufacturing and environmental performances. t-tests were used. According to the results of t-tests the higher preventive implementation programs achieved better manufacturing and environmental performances than lower preventive or reactive strategies. But there was no difference in sales growth between tow groups.
