고준위폐기물처분장 내 공학규모의 균질 완충재 블록 성형특성 및 현장적용성 분석 (A Study on the Manufacturing Characteristics and Field Applicability of Engineering-scale Bentonite Buffer Block in a High-level Nuclear Waste Repository)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고준위폐기물 처분기술 개발과 관련하여 현장실증 연구를 위해 사용될 공학규모 이상의 균질 완충재 블록을 제작하기 위한 새로운 방법론을 제시하는 것이다. 이와 관련하여 플롯팅 다이(floating die) 방식의 프레스 재하 및 냉간등방압프레스(CIP; Cold Isostatic Press) 기법을 국내 최초로 완충재 제작에 적용하였다. 또한 소요 밀도기준을 충족하는 완충재 블록을 생산하기 위한 최적의 제작조건(프레스 및 CIP의 소요 압력)과 현장 적용성을 분석하였다. 상기 기법의 적용을 통해 완충재 블록 내 밀도분포 편차가 현저히 감소하였으며, 이와 동시에 평균 건조밀도가 소폭 상승하고 약 5%의 크기가 감소하였다. 또한 CIP 적용을 통해 응력이완(stress release) 현상이 감소하고, 이로 인해 시간 경과에 따른 표면균열 발생이 현저히 저감됨을 시험제작을 통해 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 방법론은 공학규모 이상의 균질한 완충재 블럭을 성형할 수 있으며, 또한 이는 선진핵주기 고준위폐기물처분시스템(AKRS; Advanced Korea Reference Disposal System of HLW)의 완충재 소요 밀도기준을 충족하는 것으로 분석되었다.

신호접근법에 의한 유조선 해운시장 위기 예측 연구 (A Study on the Early Warning Model of Crude Oil Shipping Market Using Signal Approach)

  • 한국 경제에 근간이 되는 산업은 제조업이고, 그중 석유화학산업은 전량 원유를 수입하여 우리나라의 기술력으로 가공하여 재수출하는 전략적 성장 산업이다. 수많은 제조업의 원료가 되는 원유를 전량 해상운송을 통해 수입하는 우리나라는 변동성이 심한 유조선 운임 시장에 대해 기민하게 대응해야 한다. 유조선 운임 시장의 위기는 관련 해운회사의 위기에서 끝나지 않고 원유를 사용하는 산업에서부터 국민의 생활까지 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로, 본 연구에서 신호접근법을 활용한 조기경보모형을 제시했다. BDTI 운임지수를 활용하여 유조선 해운시장 위기를 정의하고, 38개의 거시경제, 금융, 원자재 지표 그리고 해운시장 데이터를 활용해 시차상관관계를 분석하여 유조선 해운시장 위기에 선행적으로 반응하는 종합선행지수를 도출했다. 연구 결과, 종합선행지수는 두 달 전 가장 높은 0.499의 시차상관계수 값을 가졌으며, 5개월 전부터 유의미한 상관계수 값을 나타냈다. QPS 값은 0.13으로 위기 예측에 대해 높은 정확성을 지니는 것으로 검증됐다. 더불어 기존의 다른 시계열 예측모형 연구들과 달리 본 연구는 경제 위기와 유조선 해운시장의 위기 간의 시차를 계량적으로 접근하여, 관련 해운산업 종사자들과 정책 입안자들에게 위기에 효과적으로 대처할 수 있는 전략의 기틀을 제공함에 의의가 있다.

18Ni 마르에이징강의 피로특성 및 유한요소해석 (Fatigue Characteristics and FEM Analysis of $18\%$Ni(200) Maraging Steel)

  • Recently the needs of high reliable substances of high strength and high ductility are gradually increased with the development of aerospace industry. The characteristics of maraging steel has high ductililty, formability, corrosion resistant and high temperature strength and is easy to fabricate, weld and treat with heat, and maintain an invariable size even after heat treatment. e steels are furnished in the solution annealed condition and they achieve full properties through martensitic precipitation aging a relatively simple, low temperature heat treatment. As is true of the heat treating procedures, aging is a time/temperature dependent reaction. Therefore, the objective of this stud)'was consideration of fatigue characteristics according as Nb(niobium) content and time/temperature of heat treatment change. Also the stress analysis, fatigue lift, and stress intensity factor were compared with experiment results and FEA(finite element analysis) result. The maximum ftresses of)( Y, and Z axis direction showed about $2.12\times$10$^{2}$MPa, $4.40\times$10$^{2}$MPa and $1.32\times$10$^{2}$MPa respectively. The fatigue lives showed about $7\%$ lower FEA result than experiment result showing almost invariable error every analyzed cycle. Stress intensity factor of the FEA result was lower about $3.5~ 10\%$ than that of the experiment result showing that the longer fatigue crack ten添 the hi인or error. It considered that the cause for the difference was the modeled crack tip having always the same shape and condition regardless of the crack growth.

ITER 일차벽의 Cu/SS Mock-up에 대한 고열부하 시험 (High Heat Flux Test of Cu/SS Mock-up for ITER First Wall)

  • ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) 조달용 일차벽의 제조 건전성을 검증하기 위해서, 일차벽을 구성하는 Cu/SS mock-up을 제작하여 고열부하 시험을 수행하였다. Cu/SS mock-up은 CuCrZr과 SS316L이 사용되었으며, 두 금속은 $1050^{\circ}C$, 150 MPa의 조건에서 고온등방가압법 (HIP, Hot Isostatic Pressing) 과정을 통해 접합되었다. 시험에 사용된 고열부하 장치는 일본 원자력연구소의 JEBIS (JAEA Electron Beam Irradiation Stand)를 이용하였으며, 시험 조건은 FEM 코드인 ANSYS 해석을 통해 결정하였다. 시험은 $5MW/m^2$의 고열부하를 15초간 인가하고, 30초간 냉각하는 방법으로 수행되었으며, 시험 종료 후 얻어진 시험결과와 해석결과가 잘 일치함을 확인하였다.

섬유방향성을 고려한 복합소재 대차 프레임의 RTM 성형 특성 해석 (Analysis of RTM Process to Manufacture Composite Bogie Frame Considering Fiber Orientation)

  • 철도차량의 경량화 일환으로 대차 프레임 스킨제작에 복합소재를 적용하여 RTM 기법으로 제조하는 방안을 검토하였다. RTM 기법은 공정설비의 단순화 및 복잡한 형상의 대형 구조물을 짧은 시간에 제조할 수 있는 장점이 있다. RTM 공정에서는 구조물에 기공이 갇힐 수 있기 때문에 수지 주입구와 배출구의 개수 및 위치 선정이 중요하다. 이번 연구에서는 섬유 프리폼의 투과성 계수를 등방성과 이방성 특성으로 구분하여 RTM 성형특성을 수치해석을 통해 예측하였다. 그로부터 투과성 계수에 따른 기공 형성과 성형 시간의 예측 및 수지 배출구의 최적 위치 등 공정조건을 선정하기 위한 대차 프레임 스킨의 RTM 성형 충전패턴을 분석하였다.

  • In spite of economy has a critical cycle such as, production, distribution and consumption, we hardly concentrated our study to distributional system and behavior. Especially in Korea, Traditional idea had tried to ignore the people who work in this economic value at all. Manufacturers, other than retailers and wholesalers, had a belief that the manufacturing can control distributional channels forever. Unfortunately, technological and educational advances caused the quality equalization among developing and developed countries as well as among big and small manufacturers in their products. By this reason, economists are searching the economists dark continet' mentioned by Peter Drucker as a new source of wealth. According to a report by well-known economic research institute in Switzerland, Korea has classified in the lower level group in terms of international compatitive power. At the same time, business firms complain that they are suffering from lack of SOC and infrastructures. As an important mean to overcome the economic bottleneck, economists suggest in improve our distributional atmosphere. Basically, distributional study has two sub-fields as: commercial and physical distributions, Distributional system mainly concerns about to shorten the distances of time and space between production and consumption. The closer the distances, the higher efficiency can be achieved. Building distributional system will cost, but tile results will save social costs. Based on this idea, economists proposed several ways to cut the distances and to save costs, Naturally, they hope their beliefs can be adapted by business firms and governments. But frequently, their theories doesn't make any fruit. This paper has studied about the composition of joint transportational and distributional systems. And, even though there's no Marshall in tile real world at this point authors are trying to define the transportational and physical distributional costs, the most powerful factor that can impact to economic decision making.

Investigation of 0.5 MJ superconducting energy storage system by acoustic emission method.

  • The rapid development of small-scale (1-10 MJ) Superconducting Magnetic Energy Storage Systems (SMES) can be explained by real perspective of practical implementation of these devices in electro power nets. However the serious problem of all high mechanically stressed superconducting coils-problem of training and degradation (decreasing) of operating current still exists. Moreover for SMES systems this problems is more dangerous because of pulsed origin of mechanical stresses-one of the major sources of local heat disturbances in superconducting coils. We investigated acoustic emission (AE) phenomenon on model and 0.5 MJ SMES coils taking into account close correlation of AE and local heat disturbances. Two-coils 0.5 MJ SMES system was developed, manufactured and tested at Russian Research Center in the frames of cooperation with Korean Electrical Engineering Company (KEPCO) [1]. The two-coil SMES operates with the stored energy transmitted between coils in the course of a single cycle with 2 seconds energy transfer time. Maximum operating current 1.55 kA corresponds to 0.5 MF in each coil. The Nb-Ti-based conductor was designed and used for SMES manufacturing. It represents transposed cable made of Nb-Ti strands in copper matrix, several cooper strands and several stainless steel strands. The coils are wound onto fiberglass cylindrical bobbins. To make AE event information more useful a real time instrumentation system was used. Two main measured and computer processed AE parameters were considered: the energy of AE events (E) and the accumulated energy of AE events (E ). Influence of current value in 0.5 MJ coils on E and E was studied. The sensors were installed onto the bobbin and the external surface of magnets. Three levels of initial current were examined: 600A, 1000A, 2450 A. An extraordinary strong dependence of the current level on E and E was observed. The specific features of AE from model coils, operated in sinusoidal vibration current changing mode were investigated. Three current frequency modes were examined: 0.012 Hz, 0.03 Hz and 0.12 Hz. In all modes maximum amplitude 1200 A was realized.

유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 손목 중공형 6축 수직다관절 로봇의 최적 손목 설계에 관한 연구 (Optimal Wrist Design of Wrist-hollow Type 6-axis Articulated Robot using Genetic Algorithm)

  • In arc-welding applying to the present automobile part manufacturing process, a wrist-hollow type arc welding robot can shorten the welding cycle time, because feedability of a welding wire is not affected by a robot posture and thus facilitates high-quality arc welding, based on stable feeding with no entanglement. In this paper, we will propose the optimization of wrist design for a wrist-hollow type 6-Axis articulated robot. Specifically, we will perform the investigation on the optimized design of inner diameter of hollow arms (Axis 4 and Axis 6) and width of the upper arm by using the simulation of robot motion characteristics, using a Genetic Algorithm (i.e., GA). Our simulations are based on $SolidWorks^{(R)}$ for robot modeling, $MATLAB^{(R)}$ for GA optimization, and $RecurDyn^{(R)}$ for analyzing dynamic characteristics of a robot. Especially $RecurDyn^{(R)}$ is incorporated in the GA module of $MATLAB^{(R)}$ for the optimization process. The results of the simulations will be verified by using $RecurDyn^{(R)}$ to show that the driving torque of each axis of the writs-hollow 6-axis robot with the optimized wrist design should be smaller than the rated output torque of each joint servomotor. Our paper will be a guide for improving the wrist-hollow design by optimizing the wrist shape at a detail design stage when the driving torque of each joint for the wrist-hollow 6-axis robot (to being developed) is not matched with the servomotor specifications.

저밀도 원통형 세라믹 필터의 고온 여과 성능시험 연구 (A Study of High Temperature Filtration Performance Test on Low Density Cylindrical Ceramic Filters)

  • Cylindrical type ceramic filers, that is 60 O.D$\times$10t$\times$600L and 60 O.D$\times$10t$\times$1,000L were manufactured by vacuum forming processes using ceramic ray materials. For cylindrical type ceramic filters, porosity and bulk density were measured for, 80 to 90% and 0.3 to 0.4 g/㎤, respectively at uniform pore size of 41 to 45${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Bench scale candle filters (60$\psi$ $\times$10t$\times$600L) were tested using different dusts collected from many industries including chemical processing, glass processing and metal manufacturing pants. Collection efficiencies found out to range from 99.87% to 99.90%, while resistance coefficients from 1.1$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$ to 1.7$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$ . Full scale low density ceramic filters (60$\psi$ $\times$10t$\times$1,000L) were also tested at 1 atm, $600^{\circ}C$ to reveal the filtration efficiency, conditioning, and resistance coefficients using two different types of dust as chemical processing and metal refined processing. Darcys law resistance coefficients were measured to range 1.44$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$ to 2.74$\times$10(sup)11/$m^2$, and collection efficiencies on the range 99.84 to 99.96%, Finally, results of long term performance test showed that filters were conditioned after 170hrs. Experimental conditions for effective filtration were examined under the condition 10 cm/sec face velocity, 3kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ pulsing pressure, 5 min filtration cycle, and 300msec pulse opening time.

차세대 고속열차 시험평가 프로세스에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Test and Evaluation Process Development for Korea Next Generation Highspeed Electric Multiple Unit)

  • A high-speed railway system represents a typical example of large-scale multi-disciplinary system, consisting of subsystems such as rolling-stock, electrical hardware, electronics, control, information, communication, civil technology etc. The system design and acquisition data of the large-scale system must be the subject under strict configuration control and management. Systems engineering technology development project for Korea next generation High-speed Electric Multiple Unit (HEMU) system in progress is a national large system development project that is not only a large-size and complex but also multi-disciplinary in nature. Therefore, all stakeholders must understand and share the functional and performance requirements of HEMU throughout its life-cycle phases. Also in the test and evaluation phase, all systems requirements must be verified. In 2011, the prototype train manufacturing will be completed. It will do test run on the commercial line and all systems requirements are verified until 2012. For the system verification, the test and evaluation process have to be established before the test trial run. Using a systems engineering tool, the system design database(SDD) with requirements traceability and development process management in the course of the development have to be established. This paper represents the test and evaluation process development based on the SEMP(Systems Engineering Management Plan) developed in the design stage. The test and evaluation process is refined and updated in comparison to the design stage one. The test and evaluation process consists of procedure, test and evaluation method and schedule. So through this process, it is defined that each systems requirements is verified on which test and about what time.
