The purpose of this paper is to compare two avatars made using direct and manual methods and to evaluate the fit and appearance of two virtual garments on the direct and manual avatars. In this study, two subjects were measured by $[TC]^2$ body scanner and the avatars and virtual garments were created by OptiTex software. The direct avatar was made by the direct importation of 3D body scan data and the manual avatar was made by manual input from extracted body measurement. Two virtual garments in a tank-top were evaluated by distance, transparency, and stretch maps. In the results of comparing difference of the direct and manual avatars, the bust and back of the manual avatar are protruded slightly more than that of the direct avatar and the manual avatar is slightly larger dimensions at the bust, waist, abdomen, and hip area in the side view in case of subject 1 and 2. In the results of comparing difference of the fit and appearance of two virtual garments on the direct and manual avatars, in case of subject 1 and 2, the back of the virtual garment on the manual avatar are protruded more than that of the direct avatar. Also, the ease in the bust area of the virtual garment on the manual avatar with a projected bust area was smaller than that of the virtual garment on the direct avatar and the stretch of that of the manual avatar was also high in the bust area. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic information in the apparel industry using virtual try-on technology.

Background: The purpose of this survey was to know the current states and future suggestions of orthopedic manual physical therapy (OMPT) system on Korea. Methods: Questionnaires were directly distributed to physical therapists who participated in the training and collected at the educational or clinical site. The questionnaire was sent and collected by E-mail. Data were classified into two groups, metropolitan and city, and clinical experience was grouped into four groups. Then, 337 subjects (male: 195, female: 142) were recruited from us. Results: The states of Korea, 72.1% of therapists have been executed orthopedic manual physical therapy, the fee of one treatment was 50,000 ~ 60,000 Korean won, the time of treatment was 21~30 minutes, the number of patients of one day was under 9. The suggestion of future orthopedic manual physical therapy of Korea, 83.4% of therapist were agreed with manual physical therapy system, the education center of certificate for manual therapist was manual therapy academic group, the career of clinical experiences was 3 years, the training hours was more 300 hours, academic degree was diploma. Conclusion: In the future orthopedic manual physical therapy proposal, the environment and education system differ from country to country, but Korean OMPT agreed to an accredited orthopedic manual physical therapy system and wanted systematic management.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to provide a clinical evidence base for the effectiveness of the muscle energy technique (MET) for cervicalgia. Methods : We conducted a search of 10 electronic databases up to April 2019. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that performed the MET for cervicalgia were included. The risk of bias was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias (RoB) tool. Results : Six RCTs met the inclusion criteria. The literature review of these studies showed favorable results for the use of the MET in comparison to other manual medicines. Conclusions : In 6 RCTs, we found that the MET was effective in cervicalgia treatment. However, most of the included studies had an unclear risk of bias. Therefore, well-designed RCTs are necessary to obtain a higher evidence level of the MET use in cervicalgia.

Objectives : To determine the evidence of effectiveness and safety of Chuna manual therapy(CMT) for essential hypertension Methods : We searched 11 electronic databases(Pubmed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, CAJ, KISTI, KISS, NDSL, KMBASE, RISS, DBpia) and related 2 journals up to April 2017. We included randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of testing Chuna manual therapy for hypertension patients. Results : Twenty one RCTs were eligible in our inclusion criteria. The meta-analysis of eighteen studies showed positive results for the using Chuna manual therapy for essential hypertension. Conclusions : There is favorable evidence of Chuna manual therapy for treating essential hypertension with meta-analysis. However, our systematic review has limited evidence to support Chuna manual therapy for essential hypertension because of low quality of original articles and further well-designed RCTs should be encouraged.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the Korean medical treatment for chronic tension-type headache, especially chuna manual therapy on cervical vertebrae. Methods : One patient was treated with acupuncture, herbal medication and chuna manual therapy on cervical vertebrae. To evaluate the pain of head and neck, visual analog scale(VAS) was measured. Results : After treatment for 1 week, the pain of head and neck was declined from VAS 10 to VAS 3. Conclusions : Korean medical treatment including acupuncture, herbal medication and cervical chuna manual therapy is effective for chronic tension-type headache. But further studies are required to prove the effectiveness of chuna manual therapy on cevical vertebrae.

This article proposes a novel shift automation mechanism for an automated manual transmission (AMT). The development of an automated manual transmission is currently being paid considerable attention by vehicle manufacturers, with the prospects of combining the comfort of an automatic transmission and the high efficiency of a manual transmission. In order to automate the shift mechanism of a manual transmission, the proposed shift automation mechanism consists of two electric motors, cross shaped pinion gears, rack type shift rails, and a ball splined hollow shaft. First we describe the shift mechanism and operating principles of a manual transmission to investigate important design criteria for the shift automation device. And a new shift automation mechanism is described with its structure, elements, and operating principles in detail. Using a conventional manual transmission, we develop a full three-dimensional CAD model of an AMT which includes main components of the manual transmission and the designed shift automation mechanism. Finally we investigate the operating performances and feasibility of the designed AMT by a dynamic analysis.

Background: The purpose of this study is investigate the effects of cervical range of motion (ROM) and forward head posture (FHP) on cervical manual traction in normal adults. Methods: The subjects were randomly assigned to either the experimental group(Female 9, Male 6) who conducted the manual cervical traction or the control group(Female 9, Male 6) who did not conduct the any intervention. The subject in the EG have conducted the 1 set of 10 minutes of manual cervical traction per day, 2 times a week for 6 weeks. The cervical ROM was measured by the digital inclinometer and The factors of FHP was measured by cranial vertebral angle (CVA) and cranial rotation angle (CRA). Results: Comparing the cervical ROM and FHP between the experimental and control groups before and after the experiment, it could be seen that flexion, extension, right lateral flexion, left lateral flexion, CVA and CRA of the experimental group has been increased. Thus, cervical manual traction was resulted in the increased cervical ROM and decrease FHP. Conclusion: In this study, it was confirmed that cervical manual traction affects increase cervical ROM and decrease FHP that play a important role in neck stability and mobility.

Objectives : To evaluate the evidence for effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy, for cervicogenic dizziness Methods : We conducted a search across 6 electronic databases to find all randomized controlled clinical trials(RCTs) that discuss Chuna manual therapy till September 2018. Results : 7 RCTs were selected for our inclusion criteria. The systematic review showed positive results for using Chuna manual therapy, for treating cervicogenic dizziness. Conclusions : Our systematic review found that effectiveness Chuna manual therapy for cervicogenic dizziness. However, our systematic review had several limited evidence. We recommend an additional research to test the effectiveness of Chuna manual therapy.

Background: This study aims to provide basic data for college students' employment and career choice by investigating their job perception of orthopedic manual physical therapy, one of the physical therapy fields of physical therapy majors. Methods: A total of 267 subjects were surveyed on occupational awareness among college students majoring in physical therapy in Gwangju. The collected data were analyzed for frequency analysis and cross-sectional study using the SPSS 22.0 statistical program. A chi-square test was conducted to determine if there were any significant differences. Results: As a result of the survey on the recognition of orthopedic manual physical therapy, interest in orthopedic manual physical therapy was high, but the method of treatment, effectiveness and information were insufficient. Conclusions: For the awareness and education of students' orthopedic manual physical therapy, schools and institutional organizations need education and special lectures on orthopedic manual physical therapy for students.

Background: This study aimed to determine the employment and career preferences for orthopedic manual physical therapy for college students majoring in physical therapy. Methods: The subjects were 267 college students majoring in physical therapy, and a survey was conducted both online and offline. The collected data were statistically processed to analyze employment and career according to the general characteristics. Results: Interest, temporal satisfaction of education, and the need for special lectures on orthopedic manual physical therapy were significantly different by sex. There were significant differences in sex, grade, and age with regard to whether they go to graduate school related to orthopedic manual physical therapy and whether to study more about orthopedic manual physical therapy. Conclusions: The educational curriculum must be reinforced for students through systematic curriculum reorganization reflecting their preference for orthopedic manual physical therapy.
