  • Cloud computing is a new method of computing and managing organizational information technology resources strategically. From the user perspective, it involves computing environment for accessing applications remotely, storing data, and supporting cooperative works. For the cloud computing to be effective in an organization, it should be accepted by individual users. In this paper we propose a research model, extending and modifying UTAUT model. We also test the validity of the model using the questionnaire from a sample of cloud computing services users.

  • Over the past decade, the topic of work breakdown structure (WBS) has gained an increasing amount of attention from information technology Professionals as an effective tool for managing the complexity of a large-scale information system development project. It is a method for planning and controlling a large-scale information system development. A WBS provides the basis for project organization, cost estimation, task scheduling, and contract management. Based on the authors' practical experience, this paper discusses how to establish a specific WBS and some considerations for developing a well-defined WBS. The model of WBS suggested in this study will provide useful insight and guidelines for establishing the spec-ific WBS for a large-scale information systems development.

  • Everything in the world is becoming connected and interactive due to the Internet. The future of interactive smart environments such as smart cities, smart industries, or smart farms demand high network bandwidth, high network flexibility, and self-organization systems without costly hardware upgrades, and they provide a sustainable, scalable, and replicable smart environment backbone infrastructure. This paper presents a new Hybrid Software-Defined architecture for integrating Internet-of-Things technologies that are essential technologies for smart environments. It combines a software-defined networking infrastructure and a real-time distributed network framework with an advanced optimization to enable self-configuration, self-management, and self-adaption for providing seamless communication and efficiently managing a vast number of smart heterogeneous devices.

  • It is necessary to have measurement and analysis activity for managing software project. At least, every project measures time and cost in order to figure it out whether it will finish within its deadline. CMMI has Measurement and Analysis process in Maturity Level 2. In Measurement and Analysis process, Indicators for decision making in project management are defined and analysis procedure of the measurements to get the indicators are specified. Also, the way of collecting the data and storing them is also planned. Establishing efficient and effective measurement and analysis process in the organization by improving existing process is very important for project success. In this paper, we provide a method for analyzing the measurement and analysis process and improving it based on IDEAL model. It will support the organizations which are trying to adopt CMMI to establish measurement and analysis process.

  • The concept of quality is revisited to evidence its applicability beyond the product and economic transaction level, to cover every kind of human and social relation. A very important extension indeed in this globalization era, where an increasingly interconnected world badly needs rules and means to improve quality, both at economic and political level. To that aim, some commonplaces about quality need to be exposed to criticism and the close connection between ″value″ and ″quality″ concepts must be highlighted. Generalization of the quality related concepts could appear to be just a theoretical issue were it not for the fact that it opens the door to the extension of ″quality management″ concepts to every kind of organization: from the company to the state to the planet. ″Managing for quality″ appears to be a fundamental issue for all human-made systems.

  • The paper presents a case study with application of a performance measurement questionnaire in analyzing a semi-conductor-related manufacturing company. The case may contribute to the development of strategic performance measurement system. The questionnaire contains considerable non-financial measurement indices as well as financial ones, which may strengthen the strategic aspect of measurement system. The strategy, actions, and measures have to be balanced through communication process in an organization. The result shows the usefulness of the congruence and consensus analysis of performance factors in effectively managing strategic action programs and identifying investment task areas to be targeted.

  • In recognizing knowledge as a new resource in gaining organizational competitiveness, knowledge management suggests a method in managing and applying knowledge for improving organizational performance. Much knowledge management research has focused on identifying, storing, and disseminating process related knowledge in an organized manner. Applying knowledge to decision making has a significant impact on organizational performance than solely processing transactions for knowledge management. In this research, we suggest a method of knowledge-based decision-making using system dynamics, with an emphasis to strategic problems. The proposed method transforms individual mental models into explicit knowledge by translating partial and implicit knowledge into an integrated knowledge model. The scenario-based test of the organized knowledge model enables decision-makers to understand the structure of the target problem and identify its basic cause, which facilitates effective decision-making. This method facilitates the linkage between knowledge management initiatives and achieving strategic goals and objectives of an organization.

  • Advancement in electronic technology has given office workers a new freedom, and a new meaning to workplace flexibility. Actually non territorial workplace has different space elements from general and conventional workplace in terns of interior design and architecture even organization management. The purpose of this study is on the establishment of an evaluation model for non territorial workplace that may be used, practically on the spot. For the establishment of non territorial workplace evaluation model, it is ahead of the study of the feature and the type of none territorial workplace and the research for existing office evaluation technique by Preiser and Vicher. And then the evaluation model for none territorial workplace which is composed three parts that is user's importance, provider's importance and user' satisfaction related fact of workplace. It is constructed by 6 factors which are physical, psychological, workplace environmental, communication, exterior environment, and space managing system therefore each factors has scrupulous elements therefore the total elements are 40. To make more confidence the evaluation model for non territorial workplace, it requires that study continually through the survey with the non territorial workplace evaluation model.

  • Currently the systematic approaches to implementing CALS and reducing time-to-market are widely used, which is based on the concept of PDM. The concept of PDM is to maximize the time-to-market benefits of concurrent engineering while maintaining control of product data and distributing, it automatically to the people who need it - when they need it. In this paper, we developed PRO browser with these PDM functions which have the functions of managing the information of product, process and organization consistently and inter-referencing efficiently the data required in enaluation. In the PRO browser, throughout the design process improvement, the generic environments are embodied which make it possible to reduce product development sycle time and improve the quality of design.

  • Organizations have attempted to develop Knowledge Management Systems for achieving competitive advantage by effectively managing organizational knowledge. However, if Knowledge Management Systems are not user-oriented, organizations may not attain desired goals. That is, it must be utilized and accepted by organizational members to be successful systems. This study proposes an extended Technology Acceptance Model and empirically validates it. For that purpose, a research model is set UP that consists of antecedent variables, perception moderators, and intention to use the system. Empirical data analysis found significant relationships among research variables, as suggested in research hypotheses. The results of the analysis indicated that perceived usefulness, ease of use, job relevance and information quality should be considered as important factors in designing Knowledge Management Systems. In addition, perceived value, incentive, affect, self-efficacy, and image were found to influence the perception of users in the usage situation.
